We were there for the Solar Eclipse and the campground was full but we never felt crowded. Everyone that we spoke to on staff was very friendly and helpful. The park is very clean and someone is always going around checking to be sure things are good. We will definitely stay there again when in the Dayton area.

The staff were nice & helpful. The site I stayed in could use some work though - it wasn't level, sloped to one side with a gulley forming through it I guess from recent rains. Personally, I'd rather be more spread out with people scattered around the entire campground, not concentrated in one area with the other areas seemingly vacant. It was too much of a party atmosphere for me & way too smoky.

We had a great time. Could see lots of stars at night!

Beautiful KOA. Like staying at an arboretum. Meticulously kept. Attentive + kind staff. Great for fishing + birding. The creek was a real treat. Be mindful on pedal bikes, they are not as safe as you would think (no hard turns). Walmart will deliver whatever you need to your site :) Check out A Bushel & A Peck + Aullwood Audubon Center. Highly recommend for a longer stay. Thank you so much Cody!!!

Love this KOA and have stayed there twice. Great family location with lots of amenities. The shower areas were modern and very clean. We would definitely go back!

While my husband and I were not at the campground very much, the campground is beautiful! The staff was incredibly helpful and they had a lot of fun activities planned throughout the day. If we are ever in the Dayton area again we will definitely stay here again.

Good fishing clean bathrooms nice showers!

Great experience for the Total Eclipse. However, the camp site was too small for our equipment despite our providing correct information regarding our rig. We would have had a major problem if the adjacent sites had been occupied. Staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful though at times seemed to lack knowledge of the campground.

I stayed at the Dayton KOA during the total eclipse. They provided great updates on all activities and the site s were clean, small, but adequate.

Very friendly folks, and gracious hosts.

I didn't like that we had to book 4 nights to be on site for the eclipse viewing. It felt like price gouging loyal campers. Also, I know it might seem silly, but we typically love tie-dye activities, and most places know how to guide you though completing a quality project. These shirts turned out bad and the colors faded. We did four of them and it felt like a waste of 56$.

The staff were very nice but for the number of sites, there are only 2 bathhouses. Ladies bathhouse could have been cleaner. Especially when they charged us more because of the eclipse.

Fantastic experience and very friendly staff.

We camped at the Dayton KOA for the eclipse and the campground was absolutely packed, but things were amazingly organized and the campground was neat and clean. The crews kept on top of every little detail! This KOA ranks up there with our favorites and we will not hesitate to stay there again if we are in the area.

Been here many times. Always a great experience! However the Total Eclipse Weekend may be best ever visit. Family, Friends, and the ultimate Mother Nature Show!

Went for the eclipse. Had awesome activities for the kids and families. Extremely friendly staff

I was in site 69 and was in my neighbor's lap, site 75. Way too close...we made it work. Water leaked and so I didn't use it. Park was very clean and well-tended. The best thing that you have going for you is the staff. Service was a 10. Ladies behind the desk we friendly and efficient. Cody and Howard were awesome and bailed me out on two different occasions with smiles on their faces.

We enjoyed our stay for the 2024 eclipse. Obviously, the campground was full. We were surprised how quiet it was with all the people. They have a great pond area and green space to walk the dogs. There were a lot of dogs and everyone respected each others dogs. The staff was friendly, especially Cody who led us to our campsite and helped us get hooked up to cable. We would definitely return.

Had an amazing time. Family loved it and worth all the smiles. I typically enjoy more rustic camping, but this was great and kids loved it. Definitely going to try more KOA’s.

This was our first time staying at a KOA and it was fantastic! This campground was perfect for our family with lots of fun activities for the kids. The staff were especially helpful and kind. We had a great time and look forward to staying at another KOA soon.

Camp ground is beautiful! Clean and staff is friendly..I just don’t think they should have increased the price to stay the solar weekend.. just to provide an open field

The number of barking dogs at all hours was frustrating. The site next to us had two beagles that howled at anything they saw starting at 6:30am. They were left unattended. Several dogs were noted to be left alone and making a lot of noise. People also seemed to have reactive dogs and many dogs were off leash. Dog poop was left on the ground. I wish that the campground would enforce the rules.

Excellent facility with an excellent staff

Too cramped. Packed in like sardines. Heat from the firepits were a concern for the rv.

My family had a great time out at Dayton's KOA. We were originally there because our daughter had a local competition but ended up staying an additional night to watch the solar eclipse. The kids LOVED being able to ride the bike everywhere and I was very thankful that the park is pet friendly. An extra shout out to Cody for being so helpful with 1st time trailer campers and always rocking a smile

Every staff member was so friendly! Appreciate the generous trash pickup. Great job managing the eclipse crowd on opening weekend!
Apr 11, 2024
Our stay was excellent. However when our spot was assigned they didn’t take in account that the 2 trees at the opening of the site prevented us a problem. We had to back through the site next to ours to park. That is also how we had to exit the site. We had to wait for them to leave before we could. Site 267 should not be used for a large unit because of the trees. Our motorhome is 28feet.

Everything was wonderful. Got better service than some highly rated hotels I've stayed in. Courteous staff, clean facilities, could have stayed longer, but gotta get back to work.

So impressed with this park. Everything was ready to go for the season clean, well manicured, paddle boats in the lake and pool open even though the park had only opened for the season 5 days earlier!

Nicely kept facility, friendly and helpful staff. Nice landscaping and lots and lots of kid friendly activities. Cell phone reception a little spotty (verizon) and park wi-fi was overwhelmed when park was full.

Fantastic management of a very filled campground with a lot of first-time campers seeing the 2024 eclipse. I was so impressed by the staff and management--definitely sold me on KOAs for the future. :)

My stay this time was only for sleep as I was visiting my daughter but everything was great.

Fantastic staff, great location, and very well maintained campground! We had a problem with our electric pedestal when we first arrived after hours and yet someone was immediately at our site to fix the problem. I wish I could remember his name, because he was dedicated and friendly!

Wonderful stay!!!! Thanks for all the activities in relation to the eclipse.

We stayed for the eclipse and the campground rolled out the red carpet. Plenty of activities for both young and old. As you can imaging the campground as full, but the staff did a great job in keeping the grounds in great shape and making sure everyone as having an enjoyable time.

The 300 campsites are too close to the interstate for tent trailers. The overnight semi-truck noise just comes right thru the canvas walls.

It was very nice and clean. Everyone was so kind. Lots of things to do and keep the kids entertained!

Our stay at the Dayton KOA was a one night stay as we were en route from FL to MI. For the first week of April and just opening for the season the park was in good condition. I especially appreciated how quiet the park was after staying in parks along the highway. The staff was professional, helpful and friendly. We would stay in this park again.

Staff is awesome, always so pleasant and helpful. Events that they plan are always fun. We love staying here, it's always our first trip every camping season.

This is our second time staying at this campground. I would highly recommend staying here. The staff is helpful and gracious. The campground is clean and orderly. We usually make an annual trip to Dayton and this will be our base camp for our adventures. We'll done Dayton KOA!

Stayed here for 1 night for a road trip. Due to traffic conditions I arrived after 5:00pm when the office closed. My check-in info was in the mailbox and easily found my site. I stayed in a pull through site and since I arrived late and was leaving early, I was hoping to leave my camper connected to my truck to save time the next morning. The site was on the sort side and I was not able to stay connected. Although I did not get a chance to explore the campground, as it was raining during the entire stay, it appeared to be well maintained and a nice campground. The next morning I went to the office to complete my check in and the staff there were very friendly. Hopefully I can come stay for a few nights next time.

Full of amenities for mostly kids but adults can play too! If you forgot anything chances are they have it in their store. Want breakfast? They have a cafe with some seriously good pancakes and biscuits and sausage gravy. Need firewood or anything, call or text the number provided and they'll deliver to your campsite. Paddle boats, games, a pool, a lake, a little creek, they have it all here. I cannot stand camping and this definitely changed my outlook on it and our group will definitely be back!
