Very clean campground, sites are very accessible for our big rig, staff were always around and helpful. Great experience, the only negative might have been the price of firewood, you could get about two and a half times more wood for a couple bucks more in town, plus it was very dry and burned fast. No biggie though on the wood, it didn't take away from the great people that run the campground.

Well kept campground very close to all the attractions. The camp hosts were amazing. They explained all the attractions and showed us on a map how to get everywhere. They answered every question we had! Thanks!

All KOA staff were very friendly, we appreciated being placed in a site next to our friends since we were there for a week. We enjoyed the breakfast a couple of times and the wood delivery was convenient. Thank you for a great week!

We stayed with you for several days and nights. The Custer Mountain KOA was perfect for our visits in the area. We enjoyed visiting with you and your staff. We also visited with several other campers and their wonderful dogs, Molly, Rudy and Maverick. We love so many things about Custer, especially seeing all the animals in the game loop. We'll be back sometime. Thank you.

As a whole, the park has too much dirt, muddy areas. Needs more grass & pavement or at least gravel. Sites are rather small. Not a bad campground but I would not likely stay there again. It is convenient and the staff there are all very nice & helpful.

The perfect location for so many parks and monuments. We stayed 4 nights and could have used seven. Will definitely return to finish seeing everything.

Staff friendly,kind and helpful. Bathrooms spotless, entire campgrounds spotless. Cafe good meals. Already made reservations for 2024,same rv site same KOA. Alot to see and do at the Black Hills area.

This KOA was one of the nicest, cleanest campgrounds we have ever stayed at. Lucy and Parrish were especially friendly and helpful, giving us tips on where to go and things to do. We will 100% stay here again when we are in the area, and would recommend to any of our friends. Thank you!

Excellent central location. The staff were so welcoming; front desk check-in to escorting us to our site to making sure we had everything we needed. One of the hosts jumped right in to give us really good tips on driving tours, hiking trails, and where the best spots are for wildlife viewing. The campground was immaculate as were the restrooms, shower rooms and public areas. Can’t say enough

This KOA was the best KOA we've ever stayed in. What made the difference for us was the staff. They went out of their way to provide the best customer service we've experienced at any campground in our travels. The icing on the cake for us was when the gentleman delivered our firewood to us in his pajamas. Having said that, it wasn't for the wonderful attire, it was that he did this with a smile even though we had not arrived back to the campground until well after the office was closed and it was already dark. This KOA is beautiful and has all the amenities that a traveller could ask for. It is located within a half hour drive of so many of the attractions in the area. We'll be back and we're hoping to have the same gracious and friendly staff to greet us again.

Our 2nd time camping here! Loved it 2 years ago & just as much this time! We splurged for a patio site this time & it did not disappoint. Nice, comfortable sites, clean restrooms & laundry area, well-kept grounds, super friendly & helpful staff (Special thanks to John & Janny, who were amazing!). Beautiful location & positioned perfectly to easily explore so much of what the Black Hills has to offer. Nice to be able to come back to your campsite after a fun day of exploration & be able to relax comfortably outside with a nice fire (some of the KOAs where we stayed on this trip, simply did not have enough room between sites to do that comfortably). We certainly hope to return...love this area & this KOA is one of favorite campgrounds in the US!
