Local Area Recreation Near Custer / Mount Rushmore / Black Hills KOA Holiday

Our campground is a great home base for visiting all the Black Hills offer. We are centrally located to visit Custer State Park and take a ride up Iron Mountain Road to see Mt. Rushmore through the tunnels. Visit Mt. Rushmore and then come back 244 and see the profile of Washington and then on to Highway 16 and stop at Crazy Horse. Next day, go visit Wind Cave National Park. Go on one of the cave tours and drive through the park and make your way over to the back way into the Wildlife Loop. Beautiful drive. The next day, go on down to Hot Springs and visit the Mammoth dig. Very interesting to see an active dig. One of your days, drive up to Spearfish Canyon and see the White Mountain goats and visit Deadwood, where they still do a shoot-out in the streets. Visit the Deadwood site for times and days. If your interest is motorcycles - visit Sturgis. A great location to visit all these attractions.
