Our men's room renovation is finally complete. The ladies room is in full swing. We have everything out of there and the sanding has begun. The good news is that it was not in as rough of shape so we are hoping it won’t take hours upon hours like the gents did. If you are already following us on social media then you have probably seen the sneak peek of what we have cooking upstairs. As full time travellers ourselves, one of our biggest struggles was grooming for our furry friend.
Most groomers would book up weeks if not months in advance. Some of them were so busy they would not even consider a new client. It was such a struggle that we turned to a DIY situation. Have you ever tried to groom a 90lb dog on the bed of a truck? I can assure you, it is not ideal.
One of our goals with the park is to try and solve issues for travellers. We immediately put in the self serve dog wash downstairs which is open and ready for use. Upstairs… we have a full service grooming salon going in. We could not be more excited!!! Watch our socials for updates. We anticipate our grooming salon will be ready to accept clients by April.
A huge thank you to all of you that have stayed with us these past few months. We are pleased to announce that our first full quarter with us at the helm has seen a 26.08 rise in our NPS score. This score is a tool used by companies such as Chick-Fil-A, Southwest Airlines etc. to measure their customer satisfaction. Since our whole goal is to make everyone the happiest of campers we could not be more thrilled to see that goal expressed numerically on a spread sheet. We strive for continual improvement and would love to hear if you have any suggestions that would make your camping stay with us more awesome. The chicken coop is still standing in our own little Laurel Lake with the green house right beside it. Our faithful do it all guy, John has re-worked the drainage until he is blue in the face. We’ve got a week of rain coming and all of us are hopeful that this latest solution will be THE one. We have ladies on the way that need their home to be nice and dry so they can give our campers their morning breakfast. I’m itching to get seeds started to set the campground blooming with color. We had a little tease of beautiful sunshine and near 70 degrees that had us all chomping at the bit for spring. We are more than ready to camp with you all…except…we still have about 10,000 more projects to make the Corbin/Laurel Lake KOA your favorite place to camp. TTFN
