We loved the location on the Chesapeake Bay. A special shout out to our host PJ. He assisted us in our set up (it was our first r experience). PJ was very informative and patient. He definitely helped to make this a special time.

It was basically a place to park while we visited family. But I had no idea how great it was there. Next time we will definitely spend more time at the campground.

This was my first time with KOA. This was our first time camping/vacationing with our dogs together as a couple as a family. We were apprehensive but you all made it amazing every detail was perfect and everyone was so helpful and kind we will be coming back again this I know for sure. We thank you so much.

Clean park, paved roads, a little stacked in for our taste. Sites need some gravel to help line up while backing in. There are overgrown " green pads" that you really can't see well as a pad. Overall good park.

Our stay was good. We had a large back-in site. I would like to suggest that the dog park have a privacy fence to separate the park from the highway and that the dog park water station be fixed. It would also be nice if there was a dog wash station available. I've stayed at other KOAs that have that amenity.

We really enjoy the Cape Charles KOA, most of our visit is spent in the campground. The bath houses seemed to be warmer than in the past, making it difficult to be comfortable. The Friendliness of some employees was lacking. I had to engage with the girls doing the tattoo for the kids before they made an effort to talk to the kids. I wish the store, or ice cream was available for longer hours.

Always love the KOA Cape Charles, great beach, awesome bar/restaurant, clean bathhouses, and beautiful, flat sites. Looking forward to next year! Only downside was the pool cabanas are missing a lot of covers, pool snack bar not open, and are getting to be almost as expensive as a hotel.

We really enjoy visiting this campground. My daughter and the other kids have a lot of fun on the jump pad. This was the first time we visited in the summer as we typically visit in the fall for Halloween, it was nice to enjoy the pool. It's a great place for families to visit - it's quiet and safe for kids to play.

Had a lovely time. Clean campsites and bathrooms. Well maintained. Friendly staff and great amenities. Absolutely beautiful beach. Dog loved the dog park and dog beach and made a lot of new friends. We already re-booked for next year!

Cape Charles is always a great stay. Staff are always courteous and helpful. Please take a moment to specifically commend Brian who patrols the beach to make sure that everyone is welcomed and is safe. He does a great job keeping the beach in order and safe.

The park was relatively packed with a lot of campers for several days that we were there. Therefore there were reckless golf cart drivers, children zipping around everywhere on their scooters, their bikes, and their electric bikes. Not much respect for walkers. Why is a resort fee charged per camper plus over $100.00 per night for WES? Tracie & Jim were friendly at the front and Jennifer B/G �ϸ

We stayed at koa cape Charles for a week . The campground was clean and the staff was extremely friendly. The beach was very nice and clean. The only down side was that the sites are very close to each other. Found it difficult to back in and we could hear every conversation from our neighbors. We stayed along the fence with shade (coral something) .

Very nice, very clean, and the staff was very nice. The person who escorted us to our site even spent some time helping us back in as it was very tight. The staff at the restaurant also very nice. This is the 3rd time we've done an overnight and each time has been great.

Liked location, easy access to the beach, nice shaded site827, pleasant dinner at the grill, comfortable clean showers. Wasn’t thrilled seen number of gulf carts after dark driven by teenagers with headlights shining every 5 minutes while we tried to enjoy camp fire, wish there was a rule about it. Women’s bathroom had 3 out 4 toilets filled with poop for several days unattended. Unsatisfactor

I have been to Cape Charles KOA five different times. The last four were great . This day wasn't bad either but I do have a few issues to relay. The women's bathroom by the pool was not cleaned for 4 days and smelled like urine. There was a beer bottle on a table in the picnic area for our entire stay. It's still a beautiful Park and a great place to go if you want to bring your animals.

Great campground and resort. It would be better if it had more shade for the RV but otherwise a beautiful campground. Only other improvement would be for the camp store to be open later. 6pm isn’t a great time for weekdays. Kind of a minor complaint when the kids want ice cream. Another family complained as well when they didn’t realize the store closed so early.

This was our second time here. We love that both our older kids (13/11) and younger get kids (4/3) have plenty to do. Amenities are clean. Staff is friendly. Beach and pool are both great places to cool off. We will be back!

Had a great stay. We used the campground as our home base for attending the Chincoteague 100th pony penning. Everyone was wonderful & friendly both camp employees & fellow campers! When we come back to VA we will stay here again!

I was very disappointed and dissatisfied with my stay at the campground. I have been there several times in the last few years and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. However, this time the pool was closed suddenly because of chemical issues, the bathrooms were unclean and unsanitary, running out of toilet paper, (and this was a daily occurrence) and there was no trash pick up after 9 am. What happened?

We are sorry that your stay did not meet your expectations. The pool equipment failed during the evening and did not chlorinate the pool. This is a huge health risk for guests. The maintenance staff worked diligently to repair the equipment and shock the water so that we could open the next day.

We love Cape Charles! We’ve spent 8 amazing summers here with family and friends. You can’t beat the waterfront and pool just steps away. Our only gripe? The camp store closes at 6pm on weekdays, which makes it tough since it also houses the info desk, arcade, pizza, and ice cream. Still, an awesome family getaway!

We always enjoy the cleanliness of the entire facility and the well manicured landscape, The beach is the best part, and Brian keeps the beach a safe and peaceful area. Staff very friendly ,motorhome was in the sun all day no shad your parking in grass and dirt pool and was never cleaned the grounds were keeped clean.nothing in the store was marked with prices. If only the parking spots for the rigs were gravel not grass.

Great Campground! A lot of people sleep on KOA’s. My family and I really enjoy them and this one met its mark. Well maintained, all needs were met. Golf cart situation could be a little better but our trip was last minute, so I don’t want to hold that against them. Overall enjoyed our stay and will be returning!

We have been to this KOA now for a second time and plan to return. We liked it so much the first time that we had others come with us and they rented a cabin to stay in. They also loved it!

Staff was very courteous and helpful. The pool is where we spend most of our time. Unfortunately over half of the cabanas were missing their roofs and were useless for shade. The other change from our prior visits was the quality/value of the restaurant food. To state it was over priced doesn’t not do it justice. I wondered why it was almost empty at dinner time and now I understand why.

Overall fun trip. Site was great vicinity to the pool and beach. Site was not mowed for a bit of time which was not nice. For the price is could of been nicer for sure. Pool hours were ridiculous, especially when a lifeguard is not on duty. It should be open to at least 10pm for us people who like to night swim. It even had colorful lights on at night which made no sense when you can't usei

Check in was super easy... love the escort. Love the beach, the sunsets, the restaurant, and most of all the staff. They are always waving and smiling at the campers. The grounds are manicured.
