Chesapeake Bay KOA COVID-19 Safe Procedures

As the situation around Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to evolve, we are sharing some of our best practices and actively making the necessary changes to our protocols to ensure we are adhering to our guest expectations. Cancellation Policy - RV & Tent Sites

If your reservation is canceled more than 48 hours prior to your arrival date all but $10 of your deposit will be refunded. If you cancel your reservation less than 48 hours prior to your arrival date you are subject to a cancellation fee of the first night's stay plus tax.

For sites booked on holiday dates if your reservation is canceled more than 14 days prior to your arrival date all but $10 of your deposit will be refunded. If you cancel your reservation less than 14 days prior to your arrival date you are subject to a cancellation fee of the first night's stay plus tax.

Cancellation Policy - Accommodations/Lodging

Deluxe Cabins, RV Rentals and Safari Tents: on regular dates, 7 Days cancellation notice is required.

Deluxe Cabins, RV Rentals and Safari Tents cancellation notice on Holiday dates is required 30 days prior to the arrival date.

If you need to cancel your reservation, you must call the campground before the deadlines listed to receive your deposit refund, minus a $10 cancellation fee.
Holiday date cancellations are minus a $20 cancellation fee. 

Text and email notifications of cancellations are not acceptable. Not calling to cancel/no show will result in forfeiture of the entire deposit.

Cancellation Policy - Groups

If your reservation is canceled 30 days prior to your arrival, you will receive a full refund, less a $20 change fee per reservation. If you cancel your reservation within 29 days prior to your arrival, all deposits paid will be consumed as your cancellation fee and your reservation will be released.

Deposit Policy

The standard deposit for all campground reservations is the first night's stay plus tax at the time of booking.

Check In & Check Out Times

Check-in: 3 p.m. 
Check Out: 11 a.m.
Early check-in may be possible depending on availability. There is no fee for early check-in.
There is a fee for late checkout.

RV, Tent & Cottage Reservations

Extra fees will apply for additional adults and children in your party equal to seasonals visitor fee. Reservations guarantee a campsite but not a specific campsite. Management reserves the right to close any campsite for any reason. All campsites rates are based on two adults and two children.

Pet Policy

A copy of the rabies certificate is required to be provided at the time of check-in. All guests will be required to sign a pet agreement at the time of check-in. 
There is no limit to the number of pets allowed on an RV site. There is no pet fee charged for pets on an RV site. 
A maximum of two pets per pet-friendly accommodation per night are allowed. A $10 per day per pet fee will be applied to all accommodation reservations with pets.

Visitor Policy

Campers are responsible for their visitors.
A $10 fee, which includes the vehicle fee, will be charged per visitor. 
All visitors must leave by 10 p.m. of the day they are visiting.
Visitors must not exceed the maximum number of guests allowed on a site.


All bikes used during dark hours must have working, white front lights and a red rear light or reflector. Lights available for purchase at the Camp Store.

Golf Carts

A $10 per day fee will be charged for guest golf carts. All gas operated golf carts must be parked after quiet hour 10 PM Sunday - Thursday 11:00 PM Friday & Saturday 
All guests must fill out a golf cart waiver for rental golf carts. 
There is no fee for seasonal campers who wish to bring their own golf cart.

Speed Limit

Speed limit is 10 miles per hour on campground roads and parking areas.

24-Hour Security

Quiet Hours

11 p.m. to 7 a.m.


Only one vehicle per site is included in the site fee. All vehicles must have a valid state license plate and parking pass from the front desk upon check-in. We do not allow motorized scooters or any kind of three- or four-wheel ATVs or UTVs. We do not allow trailer, boat, or jet ski parking on any site.

Chesapeake Bay KOA General Manager Jeff Clark has been passionate about the outdoors since he was a kid. A childhood spent camping, hiking and fishing transitioned smoothly into a career centered around the outdoors. Jeff brings his years of experience in the hospitality  industry and his love for camping to Chesapeake Bay KOA. 

Blue Water Hospitality owns and operates Chesapeake Bay KOA. The Ocean City, Maryland-based company, was founded in 2002 by father and son team, Jack and Todd Burbage, and specializes in hospitality properties.
