General Campground Information

Golf Carts

All personal golf carts must be registered at the Front Desk upon check in. Registered guests must provide proof of the current insurance with a minimum of $100,000 liability coverage. The rate for personal carts is $10 per day and must be paid for the duration of the reservation.

Virginia law requires all motor vehicles, including golf carts, be operated by a licensed driver. All drivers must be in possession of their current operator's license while driving a golf cart at the resort.

Speed Limit

Speed limit is 10 miles per hour on campground roads and parking areas.

Cancellation Policy - RV & Tent Sites

RV & Tent Sites - The cancellation period for RV & tent sites is 48 hours for standard reservations dates. Any cancellation or changes to existing reservations received 48 hours prior to arrival will be refunded minus a $10 processing fee. Any cancellations or changes to existing reservations received less than 48 hours prior to arrival will result in loss of deposit.

The cancellation period for RV & tent sites is 14 days for premium reservation dates. Any cancellation or changes to existing reservations received 14 days prior to arrival will be refunded minus a $10 processing fee. Any cancellations or changes to existing reservations received less than 14 days prior to arrival for premium dates will result in loss of deposit.

Cancellation Policy - Accommodations

The cancellation period for accommodations is 30 days prior. Any cancellation or changes to existing reservations received 30 days prior to arrival will be refunded minus a $10 processing fee. Any cancellations or changes to existing reservations received less than 30 days prior to arrival will result in loss of deposit.

Vehicles

One vehicle is included in the site fee. One extra vehicle may be parked on your site for an additional $10 per day. All vehicles must have a valid state license plate and parking pass from the front desk upon check-in. We do not allow motorized scooters or any kind of three- or four-wheel ATVs or UTVs.

RV, Tent & Cottage Reservations

Standard reservations require a one-night deposit to be paid at the time of reservation. Premium reservations require a three-night deposit to be paid at the time of reservation. Reservations will not be held without the required deposit. Extra fees will apply for additional adults and children in your party equal to seasonals visitor fee. Reservations guarantee a campsite but not a specific campsite. Management reserves the right to close any campsite for any reason. All campsites rates are based on two adults and two children.

Cottages & Safari Tents - Check In at 3 p.m. / Check Out at 11 a.m.

Bikes

All bikes used during dark hours must have working, white front lights and a red rear light or reflector. Lights available for purchase at the Camp Store.

Visitor Policy

Campers are responsible for their visitors. They must register at the office and pay a $10 per person fee. All visitor vehicles must display visitor tag. All visitors must leave the campground by 10 p.m.

Chesapeake Bay KOA General Manager Greg Linsmeyer has been passionate about the outdoors since he was a kid. A childhood spent camping, hiking and backpacking transitioned smoothly into a career centered around the outdoors. Greg brings seven years of experience in the camping industry to Chesapeake Bay KOA and he continues to spend as much time as possible outdoors with his family. 
Blue Water Development owns and operates Chesapeake BAy KOA. The Ocean City, Maryland-based company, was founded in 2002 by father and son team Jack and Todd Burbage and specializes in hospitality properties. Blue Water owns and operates campgrounds, hotels and attractions up and down the Eastern Seaboard.
