Stayed for two weeks this time and enjoyed every minute! Only down side is the WIFI is horrible. Hopefully this will be remedied before our next two weeks in August.

We have come for a # of years, the staff members,campground & restaurant are wonderful,however,we won't be coming back, & I cancelled my July reservations.The boats that drop anchor not far from the beach (& seasonal campers who party w/them) were SO obnoxious & disrespectful when asked to turn the blaring radio down. One night at the restaurant, was a bit of a mess with a drunk local & other man.

My granddaughter and I have been to the KOA in Cape Charles on 3 different occasions. We love it-staff is friendly, cabins are clean, beach is lovely and Sunset Grill is a plus. Food Lion and Cape Charles are close by. We’ll be back next year.

The campground itself is very nice but our cabin that we stayed in was disgusting. It didn’t even look like anyone cleaned from before there’s handprints all over the walls. The sheets had dirt on them. They had someone else’s hair on them the bathroom, smell like mildew and the plunger and toilet cleaner still had poop on it. We were honestly debating leaving a day early, but our kids enjoy

Great camping experience and very friendly front desk staff. The cabins could use a deep cleaning, new mattresses, and attention to small maintenance issues. Power washing the decks occasionally would help, especially for the price. The beach needs more trash cans and cleanup. Bryan does a fantastic job keeping everyone safe and offering helpful advice.

We had a great time! I stayed in a cabin (731). It was nice. My only suggestion is to equip the kitchen better with a better knife, a couple plastic bowls/containers, and maybe a pair of scissors.

We enjoyed a great family summer vacation at Cape Charles/Chesapeake KOA. The beach, pool, children’s activities and staff were wonderful!

this location is fantastic and the facility is OK. Our cabin could’ve been cleaned and vacuumed properly. Housekeeping forgot to leave the appropriate covers for our beds.

Very pleasant . However the cabin could have been cleaned . Dirty paper towel dirty microwave. All The mini blinds were broken so that was annoying. But place overall was great for making memories

Absolutely atrocious bathroom facilities. Campers checking out, unit was not cleaned and next family was checked in. Cleaning staff are family and do very little but ride around on golf carts while texting. When several campers addressed facility conditions with gentlemen, they were met with profanities while being told not to tell him how to do his job. Absolutely appalled and left early.

Stayed in a deluxe cabin for the sons birthday and was glamping in style. We had everything we needed for newbie campers from a kitchenette to a firepit for smores. We will defintely book again for another stay.

We absolutely loved our stay in Cabin #814. The cabin was great and it was near the beach entrance and the pool. Cabin was great, clean and the enclosed porch was awesome for games and eating with family in the morning and evening. Facilities were clean. Staff were very hospitable and friendly. We will be back!

We enjoyed our stay at your campgrounds, staff really friendly and helpful. Having the private beach for walks and a bar & grill was great. We plan on returning in the future for some needed R&R !!! Thanks again

Im not happy because I was not able to use my rain sheild insurance it got dropped when I modified my reservation and as per Kathy at koa she just said email the insurance company and they will put it back on before u check in. Wrong Nikko at weather shield said she couldn't and to take it up with koa cape charles still could not kept saying its a 3rd party problem so I checked in and left never

I am in my late 40’s and this was my first time staying at a KOA. My boys and I had a blast! The bathrooms were very clean and our cabin was fantastic once the ant issue was addressed (which it was quickly). The staff was so friendly and kind - this KOA is a great place and we are planning to come back soon and bring some other families with us!

It was OK. The cabin placement was excellent. But I could not use any streaming services; and there were no paper towels (even after requesting it). All services are not the same at the site; each cabin offers a different experience.

Best koa we’ve been too. Loved the safari tents, so much stuff for the kids to do. Great pool, sunset grill is fun. Bathrooms need a little more frequent attention though.

Love the beach/ coffee/food selection/location! Cabin wasn't nearly as presentable as the one we had previously. Ants were a major problem, even in the bedrooms.TV reception was terrible. Outdoor furniture was filthy. The blinds were in shambles we hung up sheets to cover the windows. Terrific staff at check-in and throughout stay. But at check-out no assistance when I wanted book another stay.

We felt the place was well kept, well managed, and just a downright friendly atmosphere! It was both fun and peaceful. We and the big dog really enjoyed the private beach.

Cabins were very small/tight. Bed matresses very uncomfortable. Staff was very professional, helpful and friendly. Staff rates a 5 star.

The staff was wonderful and the cabins and grounds were cared for, sufficient and clean. The cabins could have had a few more supplies, like enough trash bags for all the nights of our stay, more than one bar of soap, coffee filters since we were surprised that coffee was not available and the kitchens should be equipped with at least one plastic bowl. Our kitchen had very few dishes.

Stayed for my daughter's wedding which was held at the Camp Ground. The wedding was held outside by the Bay! It was a beautiful venue. Reception was in their Barrier room, which was very nice. I stayed in one of the KOAs Cabins. Cabins we stayed in had terrible mattresses on bed. Otherwise no issues. Cabin, Sunset Bluff, was next to where wedding was held. KOA staff tried to make bed better

Enjoyed the stay and the amenities. The camp grounds, bath houses and rest rooms were very clean and orderly. I think the web site could do better by posting pictures of the cabins in each area. By accident we chose the handicap cabin because the pictures were of another cabin. It would also be helpful if there were instructions on how to use the AC/Heat and TV.

We have stayed in many KOA campgrounds over the years and I’m not sure if there’s been a recent change but we did have some issues despite having a great time. It just seemed like time was not taken to ensure each cabin had everything it needed. Our two cabins had very different supplies. Also, for the price cleaning and taking out your own trash on top of 50$ pet fee seems excessive.

Everything was nice, our cabin was in good shape. Staff was pleasant and helpful as always. Our only complaint was that the TV in our bedroom wasn’t working…would connect to the internet/WiFi. Told staff and was told a maintenance worker would come out to check it out, but they never did. 1st world problem but spent a good amount for reservation just would have been nice to have working TV.

We absolutely love coming to cape Charles. I would say though, I recommend bring your on oven kits as the ones they provide are VERY thin. Enough to cause you to burn yourself. The cleaning crew seems not to clean the floors. And lastly, the ant issues. Regardless, it’s a place I enjoy staying at

The pool was under renovation, and I was not informed about it. I believe the beach infrastructure could be improved—for instance, by cleaning the sand a bit to remove algae and other debris.

Thank you for the feedback on the beach. It is impossible to keep up nature's debris which is caused by the tide and frequent wind. A sand replenishment begins next week. Our pool opens Memorial Weekend every year.

We stayed in a rental cabin. The beds were rough. The shower had bodyhair / beard trimmings stuck to the inside wall from a previous tenant. We had to spray and wipe down the entire shower before we felt it was clean enough to use. We have stayed in these rental cabins a few times now and have had a dissapointing time in them with every stay..BUT...Beautiful campground, & GREAT staff.

Exceptional location , accomadiating staff ,beautiful shore front sunrises and sunsets,good food with average prices and a return customer for 10 yrs.Would love to do a once in a lifetime seasonal deal in 2026 but my situation will not allow.Anyone interested in seasonal should inquire.

Check in was super easy... love the escort. Love the beach, the sunsets, the restaurant, and most of all the staff. They are always waving and smiling at the campers. The grounds are manicured.
