This maybe my new favorite campground. The staff were super nice and helpful. The campground itself was very clean and lots of stuff to do.

Stay was good. Bath could be little cleaner. No toilet paper and paper towels. The umbrella at the pool need a better secure with the wind could be very dangerous. My daughter just caught one and she had her baby in her other arm.

We've been coming to Cape Charles for a few years. This by far was our favorite camping trip yet. I see improvements made to the campground. The staff was super friendly. For being a holiday weekend, it was a very nice crowd of campers. The best part of the whole trip was the fireworks on July 5th. We can't wait to come back for Halloween.

We had a fantastic stay. All the staff was so kind and friendly! Great store and wonderful amenities! Loved the Beach. Jennifer at the Sunset Beach bar was the Absolute Best!!!! Good food and service!

Great time! We will be back! We were extremely impressed by Brian who worked on the beach. He clearly loved his job and this place. He has a special skill when dealing with people who were not following the rules to get them to comply with no conflict.

Overall we thoroughly enjoyed the campground and plan on returning in the future. There were a couple concerns/issues, one being the water and sewer hookups. The sewer hookup was so high it was nearly impossible to get the sewer to drain properly and the water was so low, it was very difficult to connect. Finally, the beach area was not as pictured, lots of sticks/rocks making walking difficult.

We were returning guests, came back with our friends for this trip. Cape Charles KOA did not disappoint! We had a great time! Bathrooms were clean, the staff was friendly, delivery of ice and firewood was very convenient. Check in process went very smooth. Beach was amazing! Fireworks show was delayed but worth the wait. Campground was beautiful! We will camp here again.

Our experience at this KOA was incredibly disappointing. The customer service was terrible, repeatedly misled. We asked to rent a golf cart and were told there were none available and told there were none available and to check back in 3hrs. However, mult carts were parked right up front, took photo Later, we were given one of the carts. Bathrooms were filthy, trash camp site pool nasty cloudy

We stayed in a corner blue point site, #424, near the pool, and unfortunately, in front of the dumpster. During my entire stay, I was smelling a very strong, bad odor, and the dumpster was overflowing, surrounded by trash on the floor.

Great place. Cable connection broken on check in. 5 minute fix. Told 3 staff members. Nothing. Nice beach. Should clean grass and rake occasional.

The sites are not well maintained. The sewage line hook in on most of the sites are too high so you get back flow. We were told there was plenty of golf carts and when we checked in they were all gone. Pool was filthy. Went to get a drink at beach bar and they couldn’t make a Paloma and had no salt for rims. We loved it last year but not sure what was going on this weekend.

It was a HOT week. It was still a very relaxing week. Campground is a nice size. Private beach was a plus. Sunset cafe and staff were awesome and the food was really good. We will be back

Great location, spacious size site, very clean washroom. The pool was very nice and clean, very nice store, frendly and helpful koa staff. We had a great time camping at this beautiful place.

bathrooms filthy from Mid Sunday till Tuesday, looks like short staffing problem. There is no recycleing program for plastics or cans. I asked grounds keeper, he told me they don't have any so we had to trash a lot of salvageable materials.

We had stayed at this KOA several times. We were always extremely happy. This year I noticed some negative changes. The trash bins, which were located near where the beach access was, were overflowing onto the road. It seemed like people were coming in the restaurant entrance and using beach. There was trash and leftover food on the beach which my dog grabbed. Poison ivy was all around our site.

First time staying close to the beach water was great no storms beach was nice and sunny. The campground was awesome friendly neighbors Nice lobby area where we purchase pizza. During our visit to the beach the Beach Guy Bryan needs a RAISE. Bryan was very friendly very aware of what was going on in the water as well as on the beach. He kept our area clean at all times. One of the best stays.

The staff is attentive and kind. The bathrooms were not cleaned frequently so they were often dirty and gross. The trash receptacles throughout the facility were often overflowing. Restaurant was great.

Another great vacation. Staff was friendly, helpful and courteous. Would recommend selling good fly traps/tapes in the camp store and maybe extending the store hours if possible. Will definitely be back again.

Brian at the beach was fabulous! Bartenders inside were great. One lady at the outside bar was not very approachable, took a while to be acknowledged and when I asked a question she was pretty snappy with me. Maybe she was having a bad night.

We loved the campground! One thing though….you used to pick up trash from our campsite. Now you don’t. I have no problem with emptying trash in a designated spot but the spot was really bad….you could smell trash close by at our site & the flies were unbearable. Is there any way the containers could be the kind that closed on their own or put in an area that wasn’t so close to the campsite

I have been to the KOA for 5 years in a row. Dirty bathrooms would be an understatement. They weren’t cleaned in the 3 days we were there. The grass uncut, terrible unengaged activity staff was vaping while attempting to run candy bar bingo from a golf cart. Overall very disappointing stay. Other campgrounds in area choose one of them.

Loved the campground, our site was central to the pool/beach/store.Only complaint is the picnic tables are in very rough shape.We did not eat on them for fear the seats would break.They all need replaced. The office staff: Mr Jim, Ms Robin were very kind and accommodating when we were in a predicament. Sunset grille has delicious menu options and the staff is very attentive.We Will return!

We found the children's amenities to be amazing, however our campsite left something to be desired. It seemed that every other lot was mowed low except our lot. Due to that we had more of a fly, mosquito, bug problem. Also, we weren't provided any instructions on how to hook up electric, which lefts us unable to find the outlets until we saw a neighbor access theirs.

We booked a 2 night stay. Arrived Sunday afternoon and had to leave by noon the next day. It was so unbearably hot with absolute minimal shade at our tent site. No privacy whatsoever. There were dozens of open spots but everyone was cramped so close you could hear everyone’s conversations.

Our family really enjoyed our stay! Beach, pool, restaurant and bar were great! Kids had fun in the arcade. The availability of the pizza and store closing 530 and 600 respectively, was disappointing.

Cape Charles KOA is quickly becoming over if my favorite escapes. I love the beach and the Sunset Grill is delicious. The rates are reasonable and the KOA has everything we may need. Can't wait to come back again!

It was wonderful having a beach just for campers. But the flies were horrendous and there was nothing in the camp store to help that wasn't outrageously expensive. The spots were tiny and everyone was on top of each other. There were 2 female workers that kept cutting through people's campsites racing around in a golf cart not caring if they hit someone. I will not be back.

Exceptional location , accomadiating staff ,beautiful shore front sunrises and sunsets,good food with average prices and a return customer for 10 yrs.Would love to do a once in a lifetime seasonal deal in 2026 but my situation will not allow.Anyone interested in seasonal should inquire.

Check in was super easy... love the escort. Love the beach, the sunsets, the restaurant, and most of all the staff. They are always waving and smiling at the campers. The grounds are manicured.
