We had a great time. We do wish the camp store/arcade area was open later than 6 during the week so we could play after our beach day. We also wish the umbrella rentals were open during the week. Our cabin had a lot of ants but was otherwise wonderful

This was my 4th stay, and while it was good, it wasn't the best. The bathrooms weren't as clean as usual, toilet paper was running low and we reported a clog that wasn't fixed before we left. The pool was closed on a key day, which disappointed the kids. We tried the beach but to no fault of the site the water had some Jellyfish that stung one of our kids. However, the staff was great as always.

Thank you. We are sorry for the inconvenience of the pool being closed. The equipment failed during the night and did not chlorinate the water. This is a health issue, so we had no choice but to close the pool.

No rentals during the week TV didn’t work when arrived 3 of the people I spoke to where rude (tv guy was great) For the price the only true asset is the beach Front office closes to earl for the summer months Website only highlights the best about the place Not enough shady areas in pool area Kitchen supply is horrible Christmas in July? There was nothing, no decorations or anything!

We love it here! This is our 2nd year in a row. We stayed in a deluxe cabin. Everything you could need is provided, and thoughtfully done, such as a screened in porch with a ceiling fan, lots of hooks, broom, many pillows, plugs in the bunk room with USB plugs. Also very dog friendly. The the only negative was the smell of septic when it rained, but I'm sure that is inevitable, especially in July

Grounds were fun but the cabin was filthy and it didn’t seem like management cared too much We couldn’t even stay the rest of the trip. Sheets had blood stains and covered in hair. Random sock by couch. Sticky koolaid on table. Floor was thick with grime. Just completely nasty

Our stay was amazing. It was one of the best beach days I've had since I've moved to Virginia. The water hammocks were awesome my 8 yr old daughter had the time of her life on them. Just left yesterday and have already booked a return trip.

We have been before and really enjoyed staying in the cabins but I will not stay in a cabin that does not have an oven because I like to make casserole at home before so I don’t have to cook/prepare a lot of things while on vacation.

We stayed in a cabin for the past 2 summers . Good points given for the location to the pool/beach, shower, A/C , screened porch, outdoor gas grill and firepit. The kitchen should be better stocked with pots and cooking utensils. Cleanliness was adequate. A plus would be for Senior Adults to be given a discount on the Golf Cart rentals. It is way, way overpriced for us. Thank you

We love this property and have come back 5 years in a row. The pool, bathhouses, and public areas are clean and well kept. We noticed that the floor on our cabin was dirty and our oven didn’t work but we worked around those things and had a wonderful time! We will be back again next year!

The location is ideal with pool and beach access. We learned quickly that renting a golf cart would be helpful for our small child. Beautiful sunsets and comfortable cabins. Provided “cable” TV is almost like watching TV with antenna and WiFi is weak signal. Otherwise great location.

We've been camping at Cape Charles KOA for the last several years, but recently sold our camper and booked a cabin. This is a very clean and well-maintained campground with numerous activities available, including a beach and a pool. The cabin was very comfortable and included a shower, TV, and a full-size refrigerator, along with all the linens and towels. We plan to go again!

The cabin was clean, I suggest bring food for you cook for your entire stay as there’s not much restaurant to choose from, plus they’re pricey. The pool is decent size for kids, not deep enough for adult swimmers. I wish there’s a safer access to the beach. One of the best campgrounds we've stayed at! Helpful front desk. Good camp store. Clean. Nice bounce pad and playgrounds. Cute cabins. Great music at the beach bar, And Rory the bartender at and the beach restaurant was great! Yummy fresh orange crushes! Brian is the guy who rents kayaks, SUP and other large floats at the beach, nice and helpful. Very relaxing floating in the Bay & nice pool!

Campground was excellent. , stayed in lodging #202 . Nice cottage , issue with the beautiful shower tho, after 3 of us showered, water came up on the outside of the shower around shower leaving floor flooded . The mattress on the sofa bed is a box spring type .. you can see and feel the coils and springs making it impossible to lay on let alone sleep . Need a suitable mattress for sofa bed .

We LOVE Cape Charles KOA! ALL of the staff is amazing! Our "cottage" was wrecked by the prior occupants, so our check-in was delayed, but the staff did a GREAT job cleaning it. Brian, who monitored the beach, was absolutely fabulous at keeping an eye on things. We watched him handle an extremely difficult camper with great tact! Once again, we've booked for next year!

The campground spaces were too close together for my tastes. I rented a cabin that didnt seem to have a designated parking space. The RV space next to us was too close for us to be able to enjoy a camp fire at night.

We stayed in one of beach front cabins and absolutely love the convenience of it. But the cabin wasn’t clean enough, the kitchen supplies needs to be upgraded for sure, tons of ants and flies where in a cabin when we just arrived , and the most disturbing was the smell that was coming out of bathroom.otherwise the grounds of camp were extremely clean, the beach was peaceful for sure.

It is a really area with the beach and the layout. We stayed in one of the cabins and it was really destroyed and not worth the $2,000 we payed for it. The bathroom door didn’t look, our screen door was broken letting in all the bugs, the blinds were broken, there was barely a utensils in the drawers. The pots and pans were scratched and the whole house was dirty. We will not be returning again.

Stayed 3 nites in a deluxe cab. Cabin was very nice and well stocked. Bed was made when we checked. On the downside pool area had many canopy frames with no covering for shade.

Loved the location, The beach was beautiful and access was perfect. Pool was nice & clean. There is a terrible Ant infestation throughout the campground, our cabin has a broken pocket door that was worked on previously it would seem. We went through 3 grills before one finally worked, with one bursting into flames from being so filthy with grease. Staff was nice and did their best to accommodate.

Our stay was great. First timer and it's a beautiful facility. All the staff was very nice and went out of their way to help. The grounds are clean. The bathrooms are very clean. Sunset beach is amazing along with Sunset grill. We stayed in one of the tents and that was great too. We will be coming back!

Love it here, second time coming! The only hiccup was that our cabin this time (209) unfortunately was not well cleaned (thick brown liquid in fridge drawers, broken blinds) and basically bare in terms of kitchen supplies (no baking sheet, potholders, colander, saucepan). But the pool was clean and perfect, the kids loved the bounce pad and kids activities

the only problems was we had ants in our cabin 730 they ruined alot of our food, we went to the front desk and they gave us ant traps, but they should of gave us some kind of refund for the food we had to throw away covered in ants

Cabin was newer and clean. Staff were friendly. Brian the lifeguard is outstanding and offers service that just doesn't exist anymore. The restaurant was good and we especially enjoyed Rory, who along with Brian was exceptional. I think the price is expensive and lacks in value for money. I would like to see some small water slides for the kids. Smell from sewage needs work.

Enjoyed the KOA Cape Charles and will be back. I can say I’m disappointed of the frequency of the golf cart activity throughout my week stay. It was difficult to walk my dogs for fear or them being hit or myself at times. Outside of that it was a great place to visit.

Lacked shaded areas and cable wifi did not work. Staff was nice but were not helpfull when it came to cable/wifi service. Ice, firewood and coin machine for laundry room were not readily available. Golf cart were also not available making traveling around site difficult.

Very family friendly and the beach was so nice. The beachfront bar and grill had great food and drinks. The weeds/grass around our cabin were overgrown ( I pulled the knee high weeds myself) and the air conditioner in the queen bedroom was so loud it was hard to sleep without ear plugs.

The cabin was nice, but they need to be cleaned a little better. The dump station near the cabins is not the best smelling especially when you are trying to eat with your family outside. Cleanliness is a big deal for most and our cabin was not the best… the dishes looked to be put away dirty so asking guest to wash and put away before leaving should not happen! let the cleaning staff wash them

Exceptional location , accomadiating staff ,beautiful shore front sunrises and sunsets,good food with average prices and a return customer for 10 yrs.Would love to do a once in a lifetime seasonal deal in 2026 but my situation will not allow.Anyone interested in seasonal should inquire.

Check in was super easy... love the escort. Love the beach, the sunsets, the restaurant, and most of all the staff. They are always waving and smiling at the campers. The grounds are manicured.
