Stay was great. Campground was quiet and cabin appeared very clean. Better pest/bug control could be used. Otherwise our children had a wonderful time. Our location was right by the pool and beach so that was great. We brought two dogs who loved to swim at the beach, also by the cabin.

Super nice clamping. Definitely surpassed our expectations and the place was super nice and clean. The camp site and restaurant staff were super nice and happy. Music was on point and the beach was great.

No hot water at all. No wifi. Had to use personal hot spot to get internet or watch tv. When asked the receptionist about wifi problem answer was - yes it's spotty. Bedroom tv was all static. Kids (underage) driving golf carts up and down the road fast playing loud music. Not a pleasurable stay

We had ant infestation & had to kill multiple wasps! Not to mention there were ant traps EVERYWHERE and my 1 year old daughter kept finding them and putting them in her mouth. Our screen was broke, we complained and were told it would be fixed-took HOURS even after we explained we had an autistic child that kept trying to escape. The cabin was FILTHY. Our complaints were met with no resolution.

I found the grounds were not well kept. Overflowing garbage for a few days. Not enough garbage cans around. Garbage on the beach. Pool area not cleaned before opening the next day. Rarely seen workers. Cabin was very nice and beautiful location though. We stay at the New Bern Koa and it is immaculate every time and has the greatest workers.

My stay with you was absolutely wonderful, I use to stay here when I was a little much has changed an sad to see but the improvement to the property is so lovely. Bring me back to the place my parents brought me many great memories and still creating wonderful memories. Staff was absolutely wonderful n prompt. Another wonderful stay in cabin 154! I usually bring my own soaps, body wash and dish soap so I was when I checked in, was thankful. In the past, bar soap and dish soap was supplied but not this year. I will also bring wash cloths and a hand towel for the bathroom as none were supplied. Just a thought if in the budget..a little miniature golf on site Enjoyed our stay and can't wait to come agai

The cabin was very clean. We enjoyed the beach and pool. I wish check in was earlier than 4:00. I felt like we lost a day because we had to wait until 4:00 to unpack and enjoy our vacation.

I've always enjoyed staying at the Cape Charles KOA. Only thing I would like to say is that we stayed at the same safari tent as last year and the zipper on the tent was still not fixed. Other than that, I have no complaints.

I've been coming every year for about 6 years and love the campground. I feel that the cleanliness of the campground is slowly going downhill. The cabins aren't as fresh as they used to be and the side of the pool was filthy along with dirt collecting at the kids' side of the pool. The gate entering almost hit our vehicle coming in.

This was our first time at this KOA we will definitely be back. I do have to say the guy who checked us in wasn’t very friendly and wasn’t helpful on guiding us where to go. Also was when the cabin next to us was getting cleaned out one of the employees was talking about another employee and was F this F that. F them motherfers. We were on the porch and my kids heard that. Didn’t appreciate

There was a mix up with our reservations, however the staff, specifically Nathan Crumb and a woman (I can't remember her name) made it more than right. They went above and beyond and not only corrected the reservation situation, they made us feel like VIP's! I cannot fully express my family's appreciation for what the staff did to make our stay so wonderful. Thank you! Robert Cannata & family.

Cabins are not maintained as well as they used to. Dirty doors, broken blinders, weird smell in the bedroom and all the bedding had chlorine smell. There’s a coffee maker but no coffee or tea/ sugar or even basic salt/pepper shakers. This was our third time staying at this KOA: still great area, pool, and beach, but cabins disappointed this time.

The stay at campground was very good I would rate it five stars, but the check in wasn’t as expected. We have to wait until 4:30 till we can get in to our cabin, because it wasn’t ready Also some of mini split ac units needed a little work to fix noisy bearings problem

Nice except lack of emergency first aid supplies at restaurant. My husband fell and there was no antiseptic, bandaids or tape for gauze.

Amazing time at family friendly beach. The Pelican cabin was clean and perfect for our family. The Sunset Beach restaurant is also a gem. Rory added to the quality of our stay with his professionalism and attention to detail. The shrimp salad sandwich is a must try (you won’t be able to try it only once!) The front desk crew was fast, friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend; we’ll be back

The staff were all great and very friendly. The cabin was pretty clean and free of bugs. The beach was beautiful and clean. I wish the arcade and store were open later. Cornhole bags need to be replaced by the pool. I do feel the sites are way too close together- packed in like sardines- I can't imagine staying on a Saturday. Laundry room could use a change machine and soap vending. Overall, great

Our family's first time there and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Everyone that worked there were polite and friendly and very professional. Even to the young lady I met at the front desk on her first day of work, which tells us how well you hire the right personalities for the job. We loved the little picnic area up by the beach and would all meet there for our dinner every night.

The place was pretty nice. We enjoyed the beach and pool. The town was super cute. There were kids who bullied our kids at the jump pad, which was unfortunate. One of the kids stole one of our kids bikes and broke it. That was unfortunate, but not the camper d’s fault.

The campground seems to be going downhill on cleanliness and upkeep, while the carts are new since last time, the bathrooms were not cleaned our tents were not clean when we checked in and the beach area had trash and dog feces. It was not this way during our previous visits.

Positives: The office staff was very friendly. The kids enjoyed the pool. Love the Cape Charles area. Negatives: There were lots of ants in our cabin. The floor was very dirty; needs a good mopping. There was limited pots/pans and they need to replace the frying pan. The pot had baked on food.

I rented the golf cart and fell asleep at the cabin ,my husband and sons ride the cart but is not aware of the policy that no one can ride under 16, I wish they give my husband a warning, no accident happen my son drive it for 5 mins, and we didn’t get a refund we rendered it for 2 days and we used it for half a day only

Our third time in Cape Charles, second in the cabins - great stay again! Just a heads up: all cabin descriptions are the same but don't match the actual layout. Cabin 202 had a queen bed and three bunks (one without a ladder), not a full+bunk as listed. More accurate info would help guests choose better without needing to call the camp for clarification.

The campground is nice enough, the beach is nice; people at the bar are great. However, we've been here two summers and both visits felt the need to wash all the dishes before we could use them. This past visit (late July), the Wi-Fi went out constantly so we couldn't use the TV. The propane charge (fine print, probably) should have been refunded for the Wi-Fi. Unlikely to return again.

Upon check in the bedding in the bunk room was dirty (I will note that they fixed it quickly but it was still dissapointing) and the blinds in that room were also broken.

I enjoyed my stay!The only thing I didn't like was the pool was closed one day for maintenance. Also it would be nice to have a ceiling fan on the porch.

Exceptional location , accomadiating staff ,beautiful shore front sunrises and sunsets,good food with average prices and a return customer for 10 yrs.Would love to do a once in a lifetime seasonal deal in 2026 but my situation will not allow.Anyone interested in seasonal should inquire.

Check in was super easy... love the escort. Love the beach, the sunsets, the restaurant, and most of all the staff. They are always waving and smiling at the campers. The grounds are manicured.
