BEAUTIFUL facility!! Staff was exceptionally nice and helpful! Parking next to cabin held 3" of water, shoes got soaked and muddy. Nice white stone around the units next to us. Initally I had to clean the cabin floor and toilet. Aside from that Excellent stay!!! We WILL come back next year! Will book a cabin with stone. Bath houses inpeccable! Beach area FABULOUS! LOVE this place!!

Disappointed grounds more trashy & unmowed than previous stays. Rates high to stay, so expected better. Foot wash station when coming up from beach was very slimey, slippery. Perhaps something nonskid would help people not fall (I fell, but was fine thankfully). The beach had lots of holes in the sand, thus treacherous walking if not always looking down. $7+ for a bag of ice, felt gouged.

Nice campground. Simple. The back-in spaces are close to each other, but the dog beach is a big hit if you own a dog. The restaurant on site is good and loves Dogs. The pool is nice. We did not use the bathrooms or laundry.

This is our 5th or 6th summer vacationing at Cape Charles KOA and we absolutely love it. This trip we rented 9 nearby cabins with 8 families of our closest friends with kids 10-17 years old. Our favorite amentities: beach, Sunset bar and grille, pool, jump pillow. Areas for improvement: later hours and better lighting for the pool, and raking the beach to remove the straw each morning.

The staff were ALL AMAZING! It was 25 of us in my Family's party! We had ages 3 to 70! EVERYONE HAD A BLAST! The amenities were great...we had 5 (two bedroom) cabins and 2 RV spots. Pool was beyond fun and very kid friendly (up to 5Ft). Beach and its huge and sandbar was vitalizing! The restaurant in between the beach and pool served great drinks and food! We will DEFINITELY be back!

Total disrepair. Safari tents have broken zippers or large holes in the entry netting allowing mosquitoes/bugs in all night. We were told it would be repaired while we went to the pool. Returned with nothing done & office closed until next day. Gas grill was non-functioning. Fan broken. 6 Pool cabanas missing roof covering. Shower seats missing or falling off wall. Bthrm closed 1.5 hr at 9:30 AM.

Unfortunately, upon entering the campground our first impression was Yuck! An abandoned hotel with an empty pool was the first thing we saw. We were a bit confused. But then we followed RV park check in, which seemed to be in the old hotel lobby. After getting passed all that, the campground was great.Beach entry needs some attention. Needs easier access.

Check-in needs work. During busy check-in hours at least 3 well trained staff should be behind the counter; 2 actively checking in clients and the third handling retail purchases, general questions and assisting. Please turn the music down at the check-in desk. It was great to have the restaurant open at the beach. We've been coming to this KOA since 2018 and it's the 1st time it's been open

Loved everything, just would like to see maybe the beach raked up once or twice a week. Also maybe put a limit on how close to shore boats are allowed to come instead of right up in the middle where children are playing. Thanks I really enjoyed everyone that worked there and the campground is beautiful.

It was nice but at other KOAs we felt were friendlier. We didn't see a single employee out and about other than the one that parked us.

The only disappointment was how close the RV sites are to each other. Backing the trailer into the spot was quite difficult but luckily the renter across the way from us was willing to move his car and help guide me while backing the trailer up. The beach was awesome (can’t you get a rake to rake up the dried seaweed?) The KOA personnel at the campsite, were extremely nice, friendly and helpf

The koa store only stay open to 6 we went how many times after dinner to get ice cream they was already closed it shows two pool only one pool

We have been a few times and absolutely love this campground. That bathrooms towards the front always need a little help but the ones in the back have never been a problem. Our favorite is that there is a separate part of the beach for those with pups and we can take them and sit on the patio for a drink and watch the sun set.

Most KOA are very kept and beautiful and nice big sites, when we pulled into the site with our 40m ft camper. if we needed to open the back of our 5th wheele for our porch we couldn't because camper behind us. We had to ask for dirt to fill in holes so we would not break an ankle stepping off our steps. The Employees were the best and friendly though. Your pool and beach were a plus too.

Loved it, awesome location. Only complaint- there were a lot of ants in our cabin but it’s the beach , what can you expect? We will be back next year!!

We enjoy Cape Charles for location and the bay beach which is great for our grandkids. Between us and our family member there are routinely five visits per summer. What was noted on this last stay is the amount of random trash on the ground and the overgrown foliage on the pathways. Campsite we had was very clean and facilities such as shower / restroom were well kept. Overall nice to see you.

Upon checking in, we were told we had to pay a $10 per day Golf Cart fee and a $10 per day amenity fee. Our Internet never connected and I do not feel that the beach is considered an amenity. If you want to continue having people I would get rid of those fees.

We had a wonderful time, despite the heat. The campground was nice, lots of amenities. The restraurant and beach were fantastic! The only issues we had were with maintenance. Our cabin grill gas tank was empty. We called the office several times and never got an answer. We went to the office and talked to someone in person, but the tank never got replaced. Otherwise, everything was nice.

Everyone was so accommodating for. We had an issue when me rv opening the slide outs, they moved us without problem to a more level site so we could make a better stay. Thank you for all your help

Cabin screen door "stuck" at the top and should have been fixed. Cabin was not as clean as expected. Walls need to be wiped down occasionally. Enjoyed the beach. Enjoyed Sunset Grill. Neighbors disregarded the 11pm quiet hours.

Unfortunately we booked a site next to the bathhouse and across from the tent camping. Those guests seemed to think they were free to walk right through our site. Several groups on that side of the street were up making noise and arguing at 2 am. We called the emergency number but got a recording. For $700 plus for 4 nights I feel it was a bad stay. We left early and got a credit.

The cabin was smaller than we expected and lacked any comforts. Given the price we expected more. Seeing palmetto bugs at night really put a damper on our stay. We wanted to do laundry in the evening but couldn’t since the change machine was in the locked office. Pool great and beach fun. Wish the beach would have been swept clean each day. Staff friendly

Campground is wonderful, our site was roomy and well maintained. Signage and instructions on where to turn were completely lacking and need major improvements. Personnel when we checked in were great but other times that we went to the office there were lines and many people standing around instead of helping, no one answered the phone either so delivery requires a trip to the office.

Where do I even begin this was our 2nd year staying at this KOA and even with having some employee shortages they went the extra mile to make you feel like you were the only person in a completely filled campground. Every need was met with grace and a smile and everyone went out of their way to literally put us all on island ��� time and make the stress of life leave each and every one of us.

This koa was exceptional with amazing views of the ocean and sunrise & sunsets . But unfortunately not the cleanest when it came to the safari tent furniture ,the outside toilets and not all the campers picked up after their dogs , why I couldn’t find a dog wash site with warm water was frustrating and disappointing , outside noise at night is a bit intense.overall my stay was memorable

Our cabins were nice. We all had a nice time. We were very disappointed that everything closes so early during the week. We also were disappointed that the debris washed up on the beach was not cleaned daily. When I left I notified the desk of some maintenance issues with the showers in cabins 29, 27, and 26. Your maintenance man was there and thanked me saying no one else had reported the issues.

Our cabin was unavailable at check in. When we did get in, it was filthy. Ants were all over, hair on the beds, refrigerator was a mess. We were unable to use one of the bedrooms the whole week as the ants were on the bed. Housekeeping said they were aware, but short staffed. A male in the housekeeping was yelling and very rude to us. Outdoor bar/music only on weekends. Property needs upkeep!

The staff in the camp store were very courteous and friendly. The bathrooms were routinely dirty with TP pieces on the floor, overflowing, or clogged toilets, etc. The front of several toilet bowls were soiled on the outside. In one stall, the plunger and toilet brush was stored in the corner with poop all over both - very gross. The condition of the bathrooms makes me wonder about the hotel.

It was unacceptable. The “Tent Site” was surrounded by RV’s, Diesel Trucks, and Cabins which provided a toxic breathing environment from the diesel fuel, RV exhaust, dust from gravel roads, RV waste discharge tank odors and the waste water processing plant on site was nauseating. The neighbors were rude and stole an $1,000 IPHONE. We could not even stay a single night. PLEASE REFUND

We love this KOA. The bay is so beautiful. However, I think that the cabins could use more cleaning and updating. So many things are broken that could be easily fixed. It would be 10/10 of the campground took more pride on maintaining a clean well maintained environment.

Our first time stay here was pleasant. One week. The manager kindly handled our reservation with a friendly attitude. The campground is clean but No trash pick up, no delivery of firewood or pizzas to sites; while advertised, front staff told us they don’t do that there. Seemed rules were just on paper. Bar/Grill food is ok, bartender(Jen) so rude! Rest of staff fine and location is a plus! Than

The Manager (Robin) is horrible with guest. She's nasty and rude and will always argue with guest. Definitely needs a class or two in customer service. Thank God for the maintenance manager Jim, he goes around putting put all her fires. He should be you camp manager you would have way more guest and better reviews.

Exceptional location , accomadiating staff ,beautiful shore front sunrises and sunsets,good food with average prices and a return customer for 10 yrs.Would love to do a once in a lifetime seasonal deal in 2026 but my situation will not allow.Anyone interested in seasonal should inquire.

Check in was super easy... love the escort. Love the beach, the sunsets, the restaurant, and most of all the staff. They are always waving and smiling at the campers. The grounds are manicured.
