3rd time for a quick overnight. Always clean and well-manicured. Staff always nice. Beautiful view, of course.

This was our 3rd or 4th time staying in the cabins and each time I am more disappointed. We absolutely love the campground and amenities but you can tell the care for the cabins is going downhill. The kitchen supplies are abysmal, some in our group got no towels, others no kitchen towels, the cabins had ants and mice, wasp nests everywhere (also at pool cabanas). Please make more cleanly!

Very nice campground... very clean. That said, it is a little far away from other "vacation" places and perhaps the campground fee is a little too high. I was also disappointed that the pool closed at 8:00 PM. Many other KOA's we have visited that do not have a guarded pool stay open much later or even all day and night.

We like the campground and staff was really nice but we wish the arcade and pool was open until later times, most people attending the campgrounds are going to relax and spend time with family and the places like the pool and arcade closing at 8pm when we are on vacation cuts down on family time when we are off work/school and supposed to be on vacation. Maybe consider closing those a little later

We have stayed at this campground numerous times. Tried to reach the front desk multiple times on a Monday afternoon to change sites due to a flooded spot and no answer over five times. Drove the camper back up to the front to move spots. The landscaping crew is top-notch, especially Tito, who is a wonderful asset to this campground. You can tell a lot has changed since sun outdoors took over.

We arrived on a Wednesday and check in was quick and easy with an escort to our site. Overall, the facility was very clean, and staff was always friendly and helpful. The camp site itself was perfect. In the past 3 years we have been camping, this has been the best campground we have ever stayed at. Highly recommend!!!!

We had an absolute blast--the kids loved everything the beach is great, the pool is great, the bathrooms are clean and well maintained and air conditioned, the other guests were courteous and polite in regards to quiet hours, the staff I interacted with was great, the shop was fairly priced and had a great selection. We are tent campers and lucked out with shade trees-- it was all around perfect.

We had 2 cabins and myself and my 3 daughters stayed in 730. The dining room table was chipped, the cushions on the chairs in the dining area was peeling and chipped off, the bathroom door couldn't be completely shut unless it was slammed, and my 2 yr old toddler smashed 2 of the many ants in the bedroom with her finger upon arrival. For what I paid 454 per night, cabins should have been better.

We have stayed here for 5 yrs. We the last couple of yrs have stayed in 633. This was the first time that we had so many people using our site to cut over from the cabins and other camp sites to the beach or the pool it was ridiculous. Had one that squeezed between our truck and trailer. There needs to be better check in reminding campers not to use other people's site as their private walkway.

Loved the beach. Pool was great with plenty of seating. Bar and restaurant was great. Kara and crew worked their butts off providing great service. Our site was a little tight but we enjoyed the condition of the site. We plan on coming back again with more friends and hope to book the buddy sites with the patios. Thanks for a great experience.

We love the location at Cape Charles and the accessibility to the beach. The deluxe cabin was not well maintained or clean. There was broken window blind in living room and 2 broken cabinets in the kitchen. Only 4 chairs for dining, but cabin was able to hold up to 6 people. The most recent paint job was very poorly done. No washcloths available for us to use. Golf cart rental was very expensive.

The bathrooms were hardly ever cleaned. I took a shower Sat evening, used a different bath house on Sun/Mon and on Tue, when I used the stall from Sat., the stall had not been cleaned since I was there on Sat! The same hair/conditioner/detritus from other users was in the exact same spots as Sat! Also, 400 characters is NEVER enough to provide an adequate review and I suggest KOA lengthen that.

We were in a pull thru next to tent campers. First the tent owner parked in our spot we had to wait 45 mins till they found her. Second I was on a work trip so I left at 7:30am. When I got home she yelled at me for waking up her kids and told me to park somewhere else and the truck fumes went into her tent. Pulling out to leave we had to back out there was not enough room to make the turn without

Love this campground! The amenities are well maintained. The staff are ALL wonderful. And, really enjoy Sunset Grill overlooking the Chesapeake. We have stayed many times and hope to return soon!

One of the best things about our stay was the camp "mentor's" - had one help me back my truck in as this was the first time I had pulled a camper with my truck. And he was great with it.

We really like the location but we are really struggling to overlook the lack of cleanliness. The grounds are beautiful and kept well, but the cleanliness of the accommodations are terrible. If the cabin we stayed in were well cleaned we would have absolutely nothing to complain about, but it was just filthy.

The stay was great we have a good time! the only down side grass needed to be cut ,garbage dumpsters need to be empty more often & the pool was water was cloudy & there was a slime along the pool sides i went in my wife didnt ,friends of ours that were staying there complained about it next day it was cleaned . other than that staff was great & we enjoyed the beach

The sites were fine and the atmosphere was good. I wish there was more for kids to do. Also the camp store and ice cream should be more centralized and the hours should be longer. We wanted to have ice cream after dinner a couple of days and it was already closed. During peak season, you would think the hours would be longer, closing at 6 pm and then at 8 pm was not good. Everyone was friendly.

Great visit with my sister and our families. One got the cabin and the other the glamping tent. The amenities complimented each other nicely.

We, first, found you all back in 2020, and had a wonderful time so we were excited to camp there, again. We had a blast! Everyone one, staff and fellow campers, were so nice. From the moment we arrived, we were met with people who truly loved their jobs. Sundown Grille is a perfect addition and so convenient. We did venture to nearby Cape Charles and found it to be a very welcoming town.

Our stay was wonderful. Everyone was friendly & campground was very enjoyable. One piece of feedback was that the bunk bed had noticeable hair on the bed covering & in the bathroom. The bags with linens were left on the table on the porch and in the cabin. The one on the table looked dirty and had a pillow in it. Those bags were big and took up a lot of space.

The location is good, the check in was little too long it could be short staffing or during rush hour so no issue there. The dog park is huge. The concern is the cleanliness of restroom, seems like less to non-cleaning, i camped close to one of the rest room and did not see a cleaning person who went in the clean or refresh it for at least 2 days.

We have vacationed at this campground a handful of times. Obviously we enjoy it so much we keep coming back! But I want to commend the campground crew this summer because they went above and beyond with their fun events. My kids were so busy and loved everything extra they provided. From pool games, to trivia, Santa, cotton candy, & tie dye! You well exceeded our expectations!

We’ve loved this KOA for years because of the beach and sunsets, but this stay was disappointing. A week before arrival, they lost 2 of our 3 cabin reservations. The issue was fixed, but no gesture was offered. The cabins were dirty and worn, and the shared bathrooms had feces smeared in them. The campground needs much better upkeep.

The cabins were disgusting. The couch looked like a dog had a field day scratching at it. The floor has a crack or hole starting right as you walk in. The bunk beds had so many scratches. The floors were full of sand and our screened in porch had massive gaps so it was not screened.

After coming here for vacation every year, we were very disappointed in our site this year. It was very flooded and not maintained. Office barely answers the phone and text service does not work.

We really enjoyed our stay in a delux cabin. We liked: the pool was fabulous!, The hammocks on the beach, jumping pillow, clean cabin. Cons: no coffee maker on arrival (had to ask next morning and then was quickly given a new one), small jellyfish in the bay (no youngest daughter and another little boy got stung and had painful rashes), beach was never racked and had trash.

Had a wonderful time even though the weather wasn’t the best. Stayed in a cute cabin. I do feel the cabin could have been cleaned better. There was food still in one of the drawers and the table and counter needed wiped down. We do plan on booking again for next year.

Exceptional location , accomadiating staff ,beautiful shore front sunrises and sunsets,good food with average prices and a return customer for 10 yrs.Would love to do a once in a lifetime seasonal deal in 2026 but my situation will not allow.Anyone interested in seasonal should inquire.

Check in was super easy... love the escort. Love the beach, the sunsets, the restaurant, and most of all the staff. They are always waving and smiling at the campers. The grounds are manicured.
