Everything needed was available to us. Only reason I didn’t rate this campground a perfect score is because no shade at sites otherwise very good stay

We had a wonderful stay! Even though it was off season , the bay was beautiful to look at. The shower & bath & laundry were very clean and close proximity . I am sure it gets pretty busy in the summer months with 345 sites. There were trees on the far side but most of the sites are open. We had lot 320, great loc. I am giving a less than perfect only we had overgrown grass , which was high

The campground was wonderful. The grounds are very well maintained. The facilities are spacious, well lit and super clean. Bonus, you are steps away from the beach. I highly recommend!!

Glamping sites are too close to permanent stay residents. With check out at 11 makes for confrontation with residents as we were approached about our dog because she was barking at 6am letting us know she had to go potty. Our dog woke up her dog she stated.. loading and unloading camp gear on Sunday at 8 and cleaning etc makes for confrontation with some people…

Restrooms stayed in a constant state of filth. Entire stay there was a soiled towel with feces on baby changing area. Glamping Tent Sites Were Not Cleaned Prior To Arrival. Mold in Fridge and freezer, candy wrappers all over outside of tent /pumpkin guts, broken zipper in 216 both sides on tent. Remote did not have batteries, beams were falling off of post and gfci was in bad location.

This was our second visit to this KOA. We liked it so much last year, we came back again. We have a dog so it’s very nice that we can be on a beach and have her with us. We came down for the Beer Festival and that was a fun time!

check in was fine and since we had been to this camp ground before. We opted for the cabin for me and 3 guest, there where no instructions for the heat/ac units which we did look up online. There was a rodent issue in the cabin, but did not report it, as if the house keeping had been through they would have seen the signs. Overall we enjoyed our time there but will probably tent or bring our own.

The camp host was awesome but the gal at the front desk lacked the usual friendly welcoming manner that we experienced at other KOAs. She performed her tasks ably, just lacked enthusiasm both on the phone and in person.

we had mice in the cabin, which according to the manager was an ongoing problem but they did not have any traps or solutions on site. The mice contaminated my medical supplies and I had to be without them for over a week. The cost of ordering replacements was well over $300! The manager had a laissez faire approach to the whole thing. I can no longer recommend this place worst experience!

We like the area and enjoyed our stay. I was not happy with being charged $25.00 for picking my site when I was booking our stay on line. I never saw anything for being charged extra..it came up and asked what site I wanted. Will not do that again.

It was our first time staying. We rented a RV for 2 nights. The RV was too small for 4 people. The lot we where on was very sandy,we where constantly sweeping the floors. The bed linings where stain. The A/C didn't work. The smoke detector was hanging from the ceiling. The blinds to the kitchen window looked like it had been chewed on by a dog. Other than that our stay was good.

Everything was great, and I would have given a 10 and a five, but the mice seem to be taking over. Cabin was clean except for mouse poop on top of the refrigerator. And anything left on the counter got chewed on during the night. Thru a zip lock bag. We actually saw your exterminator on site, maybe need to call someone else! Other than that, we will come back and recommend. THanks for a great Stay

Hardly anyone there yet they put both of our parties next to the main road by the hotel where there was a lot of light and people flying drones right by our site. I don’t see how they charge resort fees in off season when nothing is open.

Overall it was great. I love the cabins. They are a great deal. It is off season so not a lot going on there but that’s ok I had a lot planned. The beach is beautiful. The weather was great when I was there. Loved sitting in a hammock and reading. Two suggestions I have would be upgrading your WiFi which is marginal and sometimes did not work and putting a guide for the TV. Never figured that ou

It was off season so we didn't get to utilize pool or Tiki Bar but everything was well kept. Liked the fact that the store was open 24 hours

We had a wonderful stay. LOVED the dog beach - was probably my favorite amenity. Would like to come back just for that. We rented a golf cart one day, felt that was a bit pricy. Doubt we would do that again. Wish there were a few more trees. Since we spent most of our time on-site, a little less parking-lot feeling would have been nice.

Very nice campground. The only issue is the sites are tight. However we enjoyed the activities for Halloween, especially the golf cart decorating parade and the trick or treating. Really nice surrounding area to explore as well.

We had a great time hanging out with family and the campground on the Bay is beautiful! Our cabin had a terrible mouse problem- mice poop in the cabinets, the pull out sofa, the sheets/blankets. We could hear them scurrying around during the night. We assumed nature is part of camping, but we talked to other cabin campers and they said they didn’t have mice in their cabin.

The spaces are typically small. The campground host went way out of his way to help me and lent me a sewer hose extension I was missing.

This was our first stay there and it was nice. My only complaint is the TV didn't work and our propane tanks were empty. But after a call to the office the staff was there immediately. Huge huge thank you to everyone that helped us search for our baby Precious. She was found safe. She was exhausted to say the least but she was happy to back home. We will be back again.

The big problem we had was that the check in area is a hotel named something different. Hauling a big trailer, we went right past it looking for a campground. The big sign that said "KOA" was obstructed by trees. Do we were stuck in front of a gate in front of the campground, with no way to go register (or any idea that we were supposed to go there).

The staff is great, friendly and accommodating. But the cleanliness of the cabins is where this stay falls very short. It's probably due to a lack of staff perhaps but our cabin had mouse droppings everywhere. All over the counters, in all the drawers and even on the beds and bedding. The pull out couch looks like it's never been cleaned with droppings, dog hair and food inside. Bring a camper.

We weren't sure where to check in. The entrance points you to the motel area, but doesn’t direct you for camping. No big deal. Staff was pleasant. We were hoping to eat at the Jackspot restaurant. They closed early. It is that time if year. Nice place. I'm sure it was be awesome in the winter.

Heather was so extremely helpful to get the continuation of our trip via Cape Hatteras and Ocracoke ferries on the way. Many thanks and appreciation. Unfortunately both laundrys were out of service during our stay.

We have been to the Cape Charles KOA twice, with our dogs. There is a very good sized dog park on the peppery but not next door to the RVs, tents or cabins. There is a big square bouncy thing for kids, or anyone, to jump on. There is a garden- style hotel that's part of the campgrounds. There are golf cars for renting for anyone who doesn't want to walk. The shop and the arcade room are in the main building. The only way in or out is by the check-in. Many people get confused by this but it's designed to keep traffic from getting too backed up. The beach is right in front of the cabins we like. These are fully furnished. They are compact but not too tight. I love having a screened in porch to emit the fresh air without being harassed by mosquitos! There's a picnic table and 4 chairs. I put my wet towels or bathing suit or whatever, to dry safely outside. My dogs love walking on the beach and attacking the waves. There is another picnic table on a concrete slab next to every cabin with a fire pit. It's very relaxing and calm. A good place to unwind and forget the insanity of today's world.
