Excellent campground, only complaint could be the restaurant and tiki bar closing at 8 think it could be extended to 10 for the adults

There were flies all over the cabin as soon as we walked in and the room was very hot throughout the stay. Coffee was left in the machine from prior guests and the shower was for accessible use only as well as the cabin which should have been saved for someone who really needed it.

Cape Charles KOA is quickly becoming over if my favorite escapes. I love the beach and the Sunset Grill is delicious. The rates are reasonable and the KOA has everything we may need. Can't wait to come back again!

Amazing place! Many amenities and friendly staff. Brian, that takes care of the beach area is the absolute best. He is the friendliest, most accommodating, hard working person I've ever met!

Had a wonderful time. Our first time to stay at the campground and we were delighted. Our cabin was very clean. All staff were exceptionally helpful & friendly. Five children in our group! Very much appreciated the kids' activities & appreciated the man who swept the area at the showers & walkway to the beach! Glad for the oven (my daughter didn't have one.) Great band Fri! We all ate & danced!

It was wonderful having a beach just for campers. But the flies were horrendous and there was nothing in the camp store to help that wasn't outrageously expensive. The spots were tiny and everyone was on top of each other. There were 2 female workers that kept cutting through people's campsites racing around in a golf cart not caring if they hit someone. I will not be back.

Nice campground with very friendly staff. Cottage could be kept up a little better. Wasn’t cleaned that great, and was full of ants! Went to Dollar General and bought ant spray.

Bathrooms were filthy and had no toilet paper. grass was long at sites, trash was overfilling. People were parked in lot along side road and sneaking in. Not enough staff in store. Had to wait as people checking in while we were buying merchandise and one person working. This happened multiple times. No water available at dog park. Pool was nice and bay was beautiful.

This kampground was the perfect place to bring our grandchildren. We already booked for next year and come by ourselves before then. The staff was great.

Very enjoyable — visited with my 3 grandchildren. My only complaints are the lack of reliable wi-fi for our devices and the televisions in the cabin did not work. We didn’t visit to watch tv, but it would have been nice if they had worked.

Brian, the lifeguard on the beach is great. Super helpful. He is actually why we came to this KOA in the first place. Met him years ago and he explain how great it is, so our family counties to come back 7 years in a row now.

Pool was very nice and next to the beach. I stayed in a safari tent which was very comfortable & much like a hotel room. The queen beds were very comfortable. It was hot the week I went, but there were two fans & a floor fan that helped at night. The only complaints I have were the amount of flies and no sink in the laundry for dishes. Would recommend investing in golf cart to get around.

Campground and facilities clean and enjoyable. We stayed in one of the cabins convenient to the pool and beach. Unfortunately directly across from the dumpsters through a very hot spell. But, they need to be somewhere!

The Lifeguard/beach guy was awesome!! We have 3 German Shepherds that r NOT dog friendly and he allowed us to go where dogs ‘aren’t supposed To be so we could still enjoy a beach day!! I greatly and deeply appreciated his gratitude for allowing us to do this because it meant that my dogs, my son and I could enjoy our vacation and I didn’t have to leave half my family back at the campsite!!

The cabin needs to be cleaned better, there were spiders, stains on the walls and down the cabinets, broken blinds. The kitchen is not as equipped as I would of thought. The front porch had wads of dog hair. The deck outside is completely rotted and unsafe. For 300 a night i was not impressed.

The fact that the campsite decided to do landscaping being upon our arrival, left even more flies and wet grass everywhere. My daughter and I had to leave a day early due to heat, rash and wet grass was all over the place irritating the heat rash, the fact that we couldn’t get the last day that we didn’t stay where refund is disappointing

We had a great stay other than the site. We had the most unlevel site in the entire park. We had to go out to town to find something to help jack up the front of our camper. we had plenty of blocks. The spot was too small for our camper. The people behind up that were already parked and set up had to move forward to give us more room to get in. Very rude and I felt bad for them to have to do that.

It’s always a pleasure staying at this KOA. There are plenty of activities to keep the family busy. Nathan always greets us with a smile. He is very knowledgeable and we look forward to having him check us in and out. He is an asset to the campground.

Did not like everyone being paced in so closed and having to back in. Not enough room to back into so spots after peope have returned in evenings.

I stayed in a cabin with my 4 kids, mom, and dog. I loved being able to walk to the pool, beach, and restaurant. My only complaints would be that it felt too crowded and the office hours don't allow for purchases of food/convenience items after 6pm.

Ask if we could switch to a pull thur site was told the price would increase to 240.00 so we stayed at our back in site which was so small we could not extend our awning because of trees. Front rest room very dirty.

I was very taken back by the lack of KOA employees in the office and campground. Stood around several days in a row awaiting service. Our favorite employee had to be Brian Moore on the beach early each morning cleaning up the mess of patrons! He certainly goes ABOVE and BEYOND for a good CLEAN bay experience

It was a busy weekend, and it seems that the pool was not taken care of very well the water was very cloudy and the board where water quality should have been posted was blank as was the pool capacity. We have been to Cape Charles several times and will return.

Was there for family weekend fun. Nice place but not kept up as well as it used to be. Grass needed cutting, Weeds getting tall around cabins. Trash needed to be emptied. Store was unorganized and not stock not kept up. Escort took me in the wrong way, and I had to do a lot of wiggling to get into my spot. Still a very enjoyable long weekend.

Staff was amazing! Check in staff was extremely nice and helpful. PJ "Woo Woo" was great and helped me get my camper set up. The staff at the Sunset Grill was awesome too! Well maintained campground... We'll be back!

This is our fourth stay-very enjoyable. Some suggestions-easier access to the beach-decease steepness of paths. Add more handrails for elderly guests. RV site need updating-remove that old green broken plastic and level sites with gravel or cement. Need more cabanas with tops and sides. Pay a resort fee-should have more activities for adults-we like to color or paint too !

Great location by the water. Would have like to have bigger concrete pad. Staff was friendly. Could use better signage when I was leaving the exit wasn’t clear I had to circle around with my class A.

Sites are way too close together. It was awful trying to back in a camper with trucks lined up on both sides of the ridiculously small road. Amenities were ok. Not enough for adults to do. Dumpsters were not emptied often enough so it smelled. Beach and bar is a nice touch but they need more servers. We waited forever for our food/drinks. Overall I was not impressed and probably will not return.

We had a girl's trip for the weekend ... Everyone was so nice and helpful. Especially PJ, he went above and beyond to help. We had trouble with the heat top in the cabin and he came to our rescue. then he stayed and helped get our fire going good !! Thank you, PJ and all the people who take care of this beautiful campground. We will definitely be back xo

The staff were helpful. We had an issue with our fridge so they gave a mini fridge until it was fixed. The floor of the cabin however was filthy and needed to be mopped better. The pool is very nice and kid friendly. The beach is not as clean as pictured. It was dirty and had lots of vegetation growing. It also would have been nice to know that we only had a cooktop and no stove in the cabin.

Not enough bath houses - it was kind of a long walk from our campsite to the bath house, which was shared with the pool. It also wasn’t very clean, both myself and my husband had to call maintenance because the bathrooms were gross. The dog side of the beach was always packed and it was tough to find room to set up. The RV sites were also a little tight.

First, I want to give a huge shout out to PJ, one of the campground attendants! We had a mechanical problem with our vehicle and PJ saved the day. He went above and beyond to help fix the issue. The man needs a raise! Campground is nice and maintained. Restrooms are cleaned regularly. Having the beach and restaurant onsite was great. They deliver ice and firewood. WiFi is weak.

As always this was the most enjoyable vacation spot. With a private beach that offers a bar and grill as well as the wide open clean rv park, you can’t beat it! The pool is beautiful, cabins are also great(we had 2 rv sites and 2 cabins). Plenty of helpful staff and a great store. Cleanliness is huge to me and it stays neat and clean here

As always ... All that you could ever want or need in a campground. . . Looking forward to coming back on my return trip this year. Your staff are the best part of our stays, May they continue with there tremendous effort to make this business successful and may The owner continue to treat their employees with rewards for their contribution to keeping this business a sucess, I do not do technology well to add a photo. Exceptional location , accomadiating staff ,beautiful shore front sunrises and sunsets,good food with average prices and a return customer for 10 yrs.Would love to do a once in a lifetime seasonal deal in 2026 but my situation will not allow.Anyone interested in seasonal should inquire.

Check in was super easy... love the escort. Love the beach, the sunsets, the restaurant, and most of all the staff. They are always waving and smiling at the campers. The grounds are manicured.
