Great facilities, clean, quiet. Front desk extremely helpful. Food at Sunset Grill was fantastic. Highly recommend the crab cake sandwich!!

KOA has always been nice and staff is great. I have a problem with the ice machines. I ended up paying $10 for a bag of ice...nor happy

Enjoyed the week however I feel over priced. Sites are not in the best of conditions. Pool not available. Tried to order pizza but no answer on phone. Also tried to call service desk and again no answer. I believe it was wrong to charge $10 per day for amenities due to conditions. A couple weeks prior stayed at another KOA that was just exceptional with similar pricing.

The pool was closed, both pools actually. No one told us that when we checked in. It was closed our entire stay. Why make us pay an activity fee when your biggest activity wasn’t available. There were no hammocks where they were advertised to be. If you don’t have things available then they shouldn’t be on your website. The cabin was clean but there were holes in almost all the screens.

The location was great! However we stayed in a deluxe cabin-the beds were not made. We found the sheets in a bin in the main bedroom, there wasn’t any warm water, we had to shower at the bath house. The gravel and sea shell gravel was very painful on our feet and the pools were not open.

I always like this place close to the beach. I was very disappointed in the pool not being open. More offended at being told I could use the bouncy pads are one of their many perks at the park. Amenity's I believe we are in our 70s not interested in bouncy pads. Water was brought in and the pool opened my last day in the p.m.

The pool was not available and no advanced notice, the grass at the sites were cut but not trimmed. The cost was very high for just a regular KOA. We will not return. There were no amenities to be charged a additional fee.

We already booked again for August time. The new staff were amazing. We went last year and it was such a bad time that we ended up leaving after a day , this year we said ok let's give it another try and I'm so happy we did. It was just what our family needed. Very relaxing, clean and the beds were way more comfortable. Also love the bug zapper seem to really help the area with bugs.

Campground was nice. The only issues i could speak of was that the pool was closed for the weekend and there was no mention of it on the webpage. Not a deal breaker but certainly would have been nice to know in advance.

We have been staying at this resort every summer for the past four years. This summer was a major disappointment for me and my family. The pool was not open, the bounce pad was no longer filled fully with air and wasn’t “bouncy” at all, the station to clean your feet didn’t work, Connie at the front desk was extremely rude, our AC broke, we were put in a cabin right next to the stinky plan

It was our 2nd visit and we were so disappointed. It smelled like dead carcus and garbage the whole time we were there. The beach was a not kept up the pool was not open and it was the first week of June, the restraunt was out of the first two things we ordered Shrimp and Scotch, so food and drink. Will not go back or recommend to anyone! management was not hospitable about it at all!

Many cabins available but we were given the one with a giant blue tarp outside instead of landscaping, no fire pit in our location either. Pools not available for use.

The customer service at the office/ camp store are very rude and not helpful, they leave you waiting to checkout for up to 15 minutes. I was not told that the pools would not be opened even though the pools are advertised as being open by 5/26. I rented a Safari tent the tv and one light did not work. Only one of the days I was there was the bathhouse cleaned and restocked and focus was all over.

Nice campground...but the cram you so close to each other even if campground is half empty. And when I say close I mean extremely. And very disappointing that the pool was not open...June..really. no excuses pool shoukd have been open memorial day weekend. You pay for the ammenties. It was clean, dog run was great, beach nice, restaurant good.

Very enjoying, renting a golf was great. The camping store has everything you need and the staff was very friendly and helpful with any questions ask.

It would have been nice if the pools would have been open...the beach needed a cleaning. Our septic hookup was too far away and we had to struggle to hook up and it was uphill. However, overall we enjoyed our stay.

We had a wonderful stay - besides a campside a couple sites down that was up hooping and hollaring until 3 am each night it was great = seems at least by midnight would be the cut off AND they had 6-8 dogs and they were not on leashes and kept coming over to our site and when they left the site was covered in the dogs mess. other than that we LOVE the campground! This was our second stay!

The staff was really nice. It was clean. We loved the location. My family was super upset that we booked this location because of 2 pools. NO ONE told us both pools were closed. We booked after Memorial Day so the kids could swim. We should have received a message that that would not be an option. We tried to fill some time at the game room to find that 3 of the games we put money in did not wor

I was disappointed that we were not informed that the pools were closed. We were traveling with 4 children who were looking forward to swimming in the pools. I had originally booked with Sunset KOA but cancelled with them do to being informed that their pools would be closed during our visit. Also would have been nice if the community fire pit would have been lit every night and a band on Saturday

Let down that the pool was not open yet and no one informed us it would be closed. We attempted to get ice cream at the food service counter in the camp store on Saturday early afternoon and no one ever came to help us so we went to town instead. Staff we met were very nice and accommodating, so kudos to them!

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Kampground was clean and well kept. Food was good and beach was nice. The few complaints I have is that the pool was not open and we were there in June so it should of been and the front hotel makes the place look run down.

Loud neighbors yelling, cussing and fighting 11-2am. Kept our kids up, wish they had a phone number to call for issues like this.

This KOA is a very nice place to stay. Everyone is so friendly when touring around the grounds on a golf cart. The beach bar has a decent menu with good pricing. The office staff is always so nice and helpful.

Loved the campground, staff was very friendly and helpful. The Jackspot restaurant on the beach has great food. Your maintenance staff was unbelievably helpful. After a 7 hour drive to get there, we were setting up and found a major water leak under the bathroom sink. We contacted maintenance to borrow a tool. Maintenance assessed the situation and completed the repair.

I would normally give a 5, but the cleanliness of the cabin this year was below par. There are also a bunch of things that need repair, such as the screen door, the frame is broken on the bottom which make it difficult to open as it drags on the deck and the screen itself is coming off the frame. There are a few other minor things that need repair.

We are really upset with our stay here. This was our first time and it was after Memorial Day Weekend and half of the Amenities were not available. The pool was not filled, the hammocks on the beach weren’t out and the bounce pad for the kids was not blown up. Also, no one ever answered the front desk when we called. Very disappointed because we pay for these amenities! Will not stay again.

Bathrooms where disgusting. For a holiday weekend they should have been maintained much better. Friday 5/26 through Tuesday 5/31 out of 3 toilets in the Men's room 2 where always clogged with toilet paper and crap. Ladies room. Was just as bad. Bathrooms need to be inspected every couple of hours when the campground is full. And it was this bad without the pool open.

We had a great time. Our cabin was somewhat clean. There was cat hair here and there and the floor needed a sweeping. Cat hair because I'm allergic to cats. Some of the dishes were not clean. Other than that great cabin and space. Clean linens which smelled clean.*** the washers and dryers in the laundry cabin needs a thorough cleaning. The washers inner room is very moldy and slimy..it smells

Unfortunately the weather was horrible but y’all can’t do anything about that. The bathroom by the beach was out of order and the one by the parking lot was pretty messy. It didn’t matter for this trip but if the weather had been better we would have been upset that the pool wasn’t ready. We do love the campground though. The band on Saturday was really good

All the staff were friendly and helpful. I was disappointed that the campground was not really ready for the holiday weekend. The pool was closed and not even full. The restaurant on the beach was not really ready to open. The restaurant in the lobby was closed. For what I paid for a cabin all the amenities were not really ready. Disappointed to say the least.

We really enjoyed our first stay here!!! Even though it was the coldest Memorial Day weekend we can remember we still had a blast!!

We've been coming to the Cape Charles KOA for several years for Memorial Day & this will be our last. The pool, bar and restaurant weren't opened. We paid full price and a lot of money to use the campground amenities, but this is the 2nd year things weren't opened and paying more for a holiday weekend. Bathrooms and toilets were gross too, not clean like it used to be.

The staff was always friendly and helpful. The park is beautiful with lots to offer families. It was too bad the weather was not the greatest but out of 5 days there was only one bad day with raining and wind all day.

Pool was clised, 80% of arcade games were out of order, change machines were out of quarters, ran out of fire wood, kid activities didn’t have alternative indoor activities, front desk NEVER answered the phone.

The cabins were fantastic. They were clean and appeared to be new or newly renovated. Staff was easy to work with and very accommodating. Would have liked more activities for the kids given the holiday weekend. Also the pools weren’t open when it appeared by the calendar they should have been.

We had a great time despite the weather conditions. The planned activities were great and the parade was so fun! We already rebooked for next year!
