We had an amazing week, the beach was beautiful staff was friendly pool was nice. The only problem was the golf carts were driving little fast for our little ones.

It was a little loud with people partying until 2/3 am. I almost got run over by kids driving golf carts but Other than that we had a lot of fun. Adult bingo was great. The staff was great and seemed to enjoy working there . We enjoyed our stay and will be back for pride weekend.( a drag queen doing adult bingo would be fun that weekend)

The staff was excellent. The restaurant by the beach did have great drinks and the best crab sandwich my husband ever eat. Very small menu, we only ate there once. It definitely is a resort, we have a camper so we were not able to drive anywhere, if you want to go and just sit on the beach, or lounge at the pool and cook at your site, great place to go.

The campground itself was amazing. I gave it a 4 star because the ice machines seemed to always be broke and the snack bar was closed 3 days out of our stay. Neither of which were the campgrounds fault.

Restrooms were not kept up with, campground was loud after hours, and no water for 1 day without notification to campers. Close to beach, tent was awesome, not sure if I would give another try or not.

Staff were nice. The mattress cover had brown stuff on it. Picnic tables in bad shape at a lot of sites. Lots of trash scattered on the beaches. Main pool very nice. Bay clean for swimming. Pool for motel wasn’t ready and was green. Golf cart rentals expensive. Restaurant half finished and construction going on during our stay. Nice kayak and paddle board rentals.

The location is beautiful and the staff are friendly. The restaurant was great this year compared to last year. I would definitely recommend it. One day the jump pad did not open until early afternoon and the green swimming pool by the hotel should be maintained or removed.

We stayed in one of the cottages and the service was horrible. While everyone smiled and said "I will get that handled:, it was never handled. Cabin for rented saying 3 people, there was only one bath towel. We had to go to the office multiple times over the next 24 hours asking for more towels. There were only sheets on the queen bed, non provided for the other beds. Screen door screen broken

dog poop bags weren't cleaned out of the beach receptacle in a timely fashion and were piled so high the lid wasn't able to close. Warm out and the smell was nauseous when one walked passed to access the beach. Eventually emptied but was the next day.

Friendly staff. Clean cabin, but not as advertised. I was disappointed that there was not an oven. We had packed meals assuming there would be an oven (based on all the pics online). We also did not have a bunk over a double. We had 3 small bunks. Not ideal for our sleeping situation. Again, not what is advertised. The 2 burner cooktop took a bit of figuring out to get it working. We made it work.

By far one of the best vacations we have had with our grandkids. The best of both worlds by having a swimming pool and a beach within walking distance. The staff was marvelous and friendly.

They *try* to force you to sign away the rights to take pictures of you and use them for advertisement purposes. There is no way to decline this on the form, and they insisted that if I did not sign it that I would not be permitted to stay. Asked if they were going to insist I drive 6 hours home because I didn't want my face and the faces of my family members used for ads. They eventually gave up.

The bathrooms/showers were dirty most of the day. They need to be cleaned several times throughout the day for the amount of people staying at the campground. Also, the beach has a lot of natrual debris on it. We went down the road to the State Park and it was a beautiful beach. I preferred that beach over the KOA's beach area. We did love the Safari Tent!

The private beach was great. The fire pit was a pool of water for our entire stay. The pool by the beach had nice seating areas and plenty of tables. The pool by the hotel was dark green and an eye sore. The surf side restaurant outdoor area was under construction. The place has potential depending on how the beachside attractions finish up. Mosquito and tick management would be a plus as well

Things seem to have gone down hill (this is our 6th or 7th year staying). Long waits at check in and out, renting golf cart, returning golf cart, etc. No beach rentals Sun-Thursday due to “not enough staff.” Long wait times at restaurant also due to “being short staffed.” Dirty cabin and no linens due to “being short staffed.” Everything at Cape Charles cost more this year, but not e

Compared to the many KOA’s we have stayed at around the country this place is by far the worse. Mens room toilets were never cleaned in the 2 days we were there. Literally crap over flowing in 2 of the 3 toilets available by the pool. Trash laying around on the ground never picked up, broken bottles, pipes, and other safety hazards for guest abundant. The bathrooms were disgusting (toilet paper shoved into the toilet, trash on floor) Trash all over the grounds and on the beach The dog poop bag trash cans were overflowing onto the ground Went to the Bar and Grill one night to be told they closed at 8pm went back the next night we went back at 7:30 and was told they had called last call.

Overpriced compared to many other KOAs. "Deluxe" patio was a gravel spot with a fire ring built into the patio with no way to drain. Even if it had been dry, way to close to RV to use. Patio set had 2 broken chairs and was mildewed. No gas grill. Stayed 4 nights over a weekend and averaged $194 per night. The park was disorganized, lots of campers appeared full time. Clothes lines, tarps, junk.

We loved our stay. The only thing I'd say needs to be fixed is that there isn't a change machine in the laundry room. It was very inconvenient, especially when we had to venture to the check-in area and that change machine was out of order. I'd also highly recommend the restaurant offering breakfast hours, I feel like they're missing a huge market for it. Otherwise, we had a great stay.

Had no water for over 8 hours on June 19th. The owners failed to email anyone on the status of this issue. Need to hire staff to clean. Trash cans overflowing bathrooms smell and need extra cleaning. Also need to enforce park rules. Hire security to deal with noise after 11p and kids under 16 driving golf carts. Invest in better internet service. We made the best of it and had a good time.

The amenities are wonderful. The site not so much. The water spicket leaked and our site was a mud whole between the spicket and rain. If they can’t get these sites to drain better they should be graveled. For what we paid I was disappointed in the site.

Second time at Cape Charles KOA. This trip was a bad experience. Only gave it 2 stars because of the friendly staff and beach. Expensive price for a cabin when I had to go buy my own tub drain plug. Two TV's, but 1 remote. Minors under 16 driving golf carts recklessly. Extremely noisy campers. Two vehicles at campsites, could barely fit my car at my site. No enforcement of policies. No sleep.

We enjoyed our stay as we usually do there. Still the same issues linger from the past visits though. Trash cans @ beach and parking facilities were over flowing almost daily. The beach is your most valuable asset and seems to get the least amount of attention. Removing trash and debris should be a higher priority for the resort.

The campground was great! Staff was friendly, sites were clean and spacious, plenty of amenities. Also very close to Historic Cape Charles! Will definitely be booking another trip here!

The amenities, beach, etc were wonderful!We stayed in a sunset bluff cabin and it was not the cleanest we have stayed in for KOA. The cabin was lacking towels and garbage bags too considering we stayed several days not 1-2.

The amenities were really nice but the site we had was unlevel and unkept. The front of our RV was at least a foot lower than the wheels. Plus the sites were all weeds, dirt or mud. Also it looked as if the grounds had not been mowed in weeks. It looked so nice on the web site.

We had a great time during our stay in one of the cottages. Just some minor things could have made it better, Some updates to the campground are needed, the ice machine closest to our cabin was not working. And the lawn maintenance could have been a little better, the weeds were a little out of control around the cabin. Our fire pit was not able to be used, it was filled with water and dead fish

Prices are getting too high. Looks like state parks are going to be better options moving forward. I feel like we could stat at a nice airbnb or go to disney for the cost of these trips

Our stay was great only recommendation and dislike would be that the beach needs to be dragged at least once a week to get the sticks things up to make it a more enjoyable time on the beach.

We were disappointed that the grounds around camper mud puddles, we were infested with ants the whole time, the hammock swings which a major draw had been removed, outside shower did not work, no lifeguards, kids driving golf carts that definitely were not 18 yrs old, campers cutting through our campsite and dogs being permitted to poo wherever and their owners were not picking it up…

1. Ice machines were not working. 2. Bathrooms were beyond disgusting. They were never cleaned the entire 3 days we were there. 3. The camping lots are a muddy mess when it rains, there is no drainage whatsoever. We paid nearly $500 for a muddy piece of dirt.

With them being low staffed, we experienced horrible customer service over the phone. The check in line took forever. The site was very unleveled. But after all of that, the place is nice. Loved the beach
