Thanks for stopping at the Checotah Holiday KOA please remember are WiFi is for checking your email and light surfing of the net you will not be able to stream movies or do large downloads and again(per their login website) Paying a premium price for camping which is expected with KOA do not appreciate monitoring my web usage. At this price level should be able to stream movies etc

The road in to the campground needs much work! The campground was nice and quiet. Gravel pads with all the rain made for messy sites with ruts

Great Stop! Friendly people and easy access. A lovely drive in off the freeway, though the road could use some paving. Will always stop by when in the area.

Only place to stay in area when passing through. Older KOA that shows its age. Roads are dirt, campsites are barely gravel. When it rains, you’re in a muddy mess.

This is our favorite KOA. The hosts are helpful, courteous, and keep the grounds cleaned. The campground is in the woods so parking is on relatively level gravel with picnic table and firepit on grass. There's a large area for kids' playground, horseshoes, etc. It has strongest wifi of any campground we ever used. We definitely will be staying again.

It was just a drive through and they had had massive rain and flooding. The lake was so flooded you couldn’t get to it. BUT! It was clean and a level spot to stay.

This KOA appears to be under new Management who are really making an effort to meet the “standards” we expect at a KOA site. They really are focused on their customers and we would highly recommend this KOA to anyone traveling along I-40 in Oklahoma.

Slow to non existent wifi. Bathroom stall very small hard for senior to move. Even cell phone reception was bad!

Freeway noise is loud. The Wi-Fi connection is the worst that I have ever had at a KOA. And the timed light in the women’s room needs to be programmed for a longer interval. It went out twice while I was showering, leaving me completely in the dark.

The campground is under new management and that team is very friendly and helpful to say the least. Campground is clean and well maintained especially considering the recent weather events. We were just passing through on our road trip but would camp again if the opportunity presented itself. So thank you to Kristen and Jason for your hospitality!

The campground was pleasant to stay at with cleanliness on the grounds and space between RV sites. The walking trails were pleasant. The receptionist was pleasant and helpful with information about getting on the internet. We did as suggested logging into their WiFi with their password but only could see our texting; we could not use our laptops or use our TV streaming.

All the staff was very helpful & nice! The campground could be really amazing with a bunch of TLC. From what I was told someone just recently purchased this KOA at the end of April. So i’m sure they’ll be doing to some upgrades in the near future. Happy trails!

This was our 3rd visit and we were very disappointed. It was rundown and not maintained. The grass wasn't cut. There was enough gravel on the roads. We understood there was a lot of rain, but it just wasn't like it use to be

When we checked in we were told it had been raining for days and part of the gravel road in the campground was washed away with 6"-8" deep ruts. We had no issues getting to our site. The sites were lacking gravel, there was quite a bit of mud due to no gravel. Our site was level, we stayed 2 nights in a 36' fifthwheel. If passing through again we would stop.

This was listed as a holiday koa… all the amenities were ran down. It really needs some TLC.. the fish pond was bob wired up the pool was half full and not cleaned. They had a train for the kids that was broken down. It should be listed as a journey until they fix things up.. beautiful grounds just ran down.. The staff was friendly and accommodating just the condition of the campground.

I could not get the Wi-Fi to work - I was given the password but not the name to link to. I know it was still "before the season" but mowing needed to be done. Came in after hours and left before office opened so no interactions. All the facilities were clean!

From the time I pulled in from time I pulled out-friendly, helpful and inviting. Park is really nice, it had rain for past 2-3 days and rainy when I arrived, but park was still really well kept. Enjoyed my staff and the friendly folks. I’ll stay again for sure.

Stayed here several times a year since 21. This trip will be my last. New managers and staff only drove around the carts but did no work. Tree limbs everywhere, sites not mowed, play area over grown, no actual work being done. Electrical pedestal had all 30 amp and below covered in electrical tape. Chicken coop had holes so loose chickens wandering campground. Does not being in the KOA family.

We stopped here for a few days on our way to and through Texas. Well-run facility with some longer-stay RVers. This property has a pool - it is an older facility but seemed well-maintained. The pool is concrete but was clean and cool! The laundry facilities were 50% out of order, but I noted a new washer in the box being delivered the day we left. I will say the road leading into the facility was really rough, but again, we saw a municipal road crew re-paving the county road on our way out - evidences of the property attention and upkeep. About a 15 minute drive to the state park where we were able to kayak and hike. Biking and boating in the state park there as well as a marina where we had lunch on the lake. This campground is in a rural spot, but convenient to I-40 and lots of RVers coming in for a night or two then getting on the road. Small walking trail to the lake where you could sit and/or fish. Long walk for a kayak launch (for us). The staff were great and really friendly - helped us identify the state bird too :-). Would recommend as a good layover stop. We noted they have a few cabins on site for rent too.

Very cute campground, well maintained and clean. Little noisy being right off the 40 but it's tucked back and feels safe. (The road in is a little rough - go slow) The real highlight though is the staff. I had a major breakage on my trailer and the staff were super accommodating and empathetic in getting me extra time in my campsite to figure things out.

Nice little rv park. It has a trail down to the lake which was a nice walk. Easy on and off to I-40.
