We stayed here twice. The first time everything was great, appreciated the hand written note and water bottle. The second time we had some problems. We arrived at our cabin to discover it had zero toilet paper or trash bag. It was after hours so we did not have access to help. Properly stocking the cabins with basic things is a must & something that yall need to address

Cabin was clean in appearance but had a strong musty smell despite the excessive deodorizer cover up. Community restrooms were clean and orderly. Not our best KOA cabin experience but the price was fair.

I literally had to figure out how it all worked, since there was no one there when I arrived. I assumed my cabin was the one I stayed in...but wasn't sure how to access the room. I did figure it out. Also, I found a child to tell me what the bathroom/shower codes were, since I had no information on that either. I expected KOA facilities to be a bit nicer, but maybe I expected too much.

Draft coming in from door gap. Mold in A/C unit. Small heating unit was awesome! Clean bathrooms. Would love a light for night time dog park. Also microwave and small fridge in cabin.

While we do understand that the extremely cold temperatures and snow made it difficult to keep the cabin open with heat and running water, the cabin was very dirty on the inside. The floor, sinks, shower, corners, etc.

The hosts were super friendly and polite. The petting zoo was down. The sites seemed to be dated and required some upkeep. It was a great and peaceful weekend and I would love to stay again!

The camp host is amazing and very helpful. The site has everything for a family friendly stay. Very highly recommended.

Facilities were ok . Cabin comfortable but floor on the dirty side with heavy dust under beds. Bathroom and showers aged but kept nicely clean. We would have been fine but cabin was so Close to I 40 that the highway noise kept us awake. We finally got up packed and headed down the highway at midnight. So will not plan to stay or recommend simply because of that reason

Compared to other KOA we have stayed at this place is a little worn out, the office has no hours on Sunday and Monday the premium cabin would not cool down in the heat as it only had one a/c working. Place needs some help.

It would be nice to have chairs in room… we borrowed some from barn area. Bathrooms showers were not that clean , hair on walls , slimy. Room was ok

Great for quick overnight stay ,right off the highway, easy off and back on. Very accommodating as we booked a cabin late and they had everything ready for us after hours .

This is an absolutely beautiful place to stay. We stayed in the cabins close to the lake access. It was the best for us and our grandchildren to play. The pool area was great and staff was friendly.

After a do to a thunderstorm which changed to heat plus mosquitoeshorrible experience at the Memphis KOA in Arkansas. It was refreshing to get to your deluxe kabin for a shower and a great night's sleep! Yeah. Plus it was quiet unlike the previous night

The Rally Room was the perfect size for our family reunion. Every Staff member was so kind and helpful, it was amazing. The weather was a quite rainy the weeks and day before our stay and I realize that is beyond anyone's control. I do believe extending the sidewalk to the entrance point in the fence would be a good idea. I slipped once in the mud but thankfully did not fall. Overall very nice.

I want to make this clear . The women working the front seat are great , kind ,excellent customer service. Also the pizza the sell is good! And extremely reasonable. We stayed in cabin 2. There was dog hair everywhere, bugs, flies and mats in the cabin when we open the door. I think the forgot to clean the cabin! We were way too late and tired to go back to the office . It needs some work.

Arrived and roads in were washed out. Rented a cabin for one night. Immediately noticed a heavy smell of raid or some bug spray. Noticed dead bugs on and in ac unit. After looking around the floor was covered with dead bugs. At first thought they might be ants but so tiny couldn’t really tell. After arriving home noticed all bags full of bugs. Been staying and recommending koa for years.

We rented a cabin and it was ant infested. We had to cram into an RV in the rain. In the morning the front desk shared they had been having ant issues in that cabin and another. We were never told about this at the time of renting. If we had known we would have stayed at a hotel with our 3 month old twins.

My family has been staying at KOA cabins on our vacations for over 30 years. We’ve visited hundreds of them and this KOA in Checotah is one of my personal favorites. It’s in a lovely setting and its standards of excellence are definitely noteworthy. It’s always clean and tidy to perfection and the camp staff are super friendly and accommodating. I’ve been staying at KOA’s throughout this camping journey. First and foremost James and his wife were outstanding host. Hard working honest people and likely have done much. Yet the cabins which are pricey haven’t been updated in years. Water leaks when raining and poor condition make it among the lower in standard. Please remove wasps nest from entry to cabin and put doors on the screened

We have stayed here before on our cross country trips. We are always greeted by a very friendly staff! The campground is pretty and clean and now you can get pizza in the store!!

I stayed in a cabin, one of the small ones with no bathroom. I used the showers at the campground, and absolutely everything was perfectly clean and in excellent condition.

We stopped here for a few days on our way to and through Texas. Well-run facility with some longer-stay RVers. This property has a pool - it is an older facility but seemed well-maintained. The pool is concrete but was clean and cool! The laundry facilities were 50% out of order, but I noted a new washer in the box being delivered the day we left. I will say the road leading into the facility was really rough, but again, we saw a municipal road crew re-paving the county road on our way out - evidences of the property attention and upkeep. About a 15 minute drive to the state park where we were able to kayak and hike. Biking and boating in the state park there as well as a marina where we had lunch on the lake. This campground is in a rural spot, but convenient to I-40 and lots of RVers coming in for a night or two then getting on the road. Small walking trail to the lake where you could sit and/or fish. Long walk for a kayak launch (for us). The staff were great and really friendly - helped us identify the state bird too :-). Would recommend as a good layover stop. We noted they have a few cabins on site for rent too.

Very cute campground, well maintained and clean. Little noisy being right off the 40 but it's tucked back and feels safe. (The road in is a little rough - go slow) The real highlight though is the staff. I had a major breakage on my trailer and the staff were super accommodating and empathetic in getting me extra time in my campsite to figure things out.

Nice little rv park. It has a trail down to the lake which was a nice walk. Easy on and off to I-40.
