This place is sad and run down. Ruts in roads, over grown grass and bushes, animals walking around etc. KOA should stand for outstanding facilities and quality camping. KOA needs to audit this site.

Arrived and roads in were washed out. Rented a cabin for one night. Immediately noticed a heavy smell of raid or some bug spray. Noticed dead bugs on and in ac unit. After looking around the floor was covered with dead bugs. At first thought they might be ants but so tiny couldn’t really tell. After arriving home noticed all bags full of bugs. Been staying and recommending koa for years.

The manager went over and above to help us with a hitch problem. Very nice people and very helpful. The campground was nice and great for our 2 night stay.

The campground had all the amenities i expect from KOA however it needs some TLC and upgrades. The noise from I40 was distracting but easy on and off which was a plus Staff was friendly and helpful

It’s easy access on and off I40. Great for over night travels . It’s a little run down but over all good connections for water / electric and sewage which is most important

I Sent a email last week stating that I wasn't able to make it to your campground because of the weather in New Mexico. I asked if I could get a refund or at least a credit for a later stay. I got a email yesterday saying I got billed.

Easy on and off I40. Average KOA with level sites. One of the older KOAs we've stayed at. Friendly staff. Very convenient. Access road (State/ county/ private?) needs resurfacing bad!

The stay was great. We arrived after hours and on a Sunday. Our information was waiting for us in the night box and we were able to go straight to our spot and get settled in. Being from AZ I believe we received some 5 years of rain (by AZ standards) overnight. :-) Will stay here again

We rented a cabin and it was ant infested. We had to cram into an RV in the rain. In the morning the front desk shared they had been having ant issues in that cabin and another. We were never told about this at the time of renting. If we had known we would have stayed at a hotel with our 3 month old twins.

I was to the understanding that there was new ownership, only one young lady did what she could. Hopefully the new owner brings it up to the KOA standards, I’m sorry I can’t tell you anything positive about this campgrounds except for that young lady really tried to welcome us , she did a great job !

Park is under new management and seems to be having transition issues. There were only 2 employees for the whole place. The employees were pleasant but overwhelmed. The pool wasn't open, it was green and full of frogs. The small petting zoo was a nice surprise.

Lovely quiet setting, friendly owner was there to check us in. Our site was a perfectly level pull through site. We didn’t have to unhook for our one night stay. Right off I40, clean bathrooms. There was some expected road noise since it was conveniently located so close to the interstate.

This campground is small, which we love. Staff was super friendly and let us know that they were planning on making improvements to this forest setting. Near lake, easy walking trail.

I am so glad we found this gem. It was our first time staying here, but I hope it will not be the last. From farm animals to lake accessn it is all there.

We stayed in site 21. The sewer inlet/dump point is cracked which makes things a little unpleasant when dealing with hoses. Almost impossible not to spill or get a leak because a donut won’t stay upright nor will a hose connect. Need to fix this!! Also the country pass around same sewer inlet are nice but the elevation causes issues with gravity flow in sewer hoses.

My family has been staying at KOA cabins on our vacations for over 30 years. We’ve visited hundreds of them and this KOA in Checotah is one of my personal favorites. It’s in a lovely setting and its standards of excellence are definitely noteworthy. It’s always clean and tidy to perfection and the camp staff are super friendly and accommodating. Quiet, simple, pleasant stay. Limited off season hours, so we missed out on a campfire, but that was our fault. Great nature setting and beautiful cabins!

The wifi was useless, it was only a Hotspot signal. There is no cable so plan a stop here to sleep or to unplug. The exit where is located has nothing, no gas no food no convenience store. Everything in the camp was clean and nice.

We wanted to explore Eufaula lake and decided on this campground. It’s one of the nicest KOA’s we’ve ever stayed in! Lots of room and the premium patio sites are great! We were there “off season” so there was not many people there

The location is great - on the water and not far from I-40. I love the barnyard animals! We didn't stay long, but I want to come back and enjoy the area longer.

We stayed just one night. The staff was very friendly. Our site was clean and level. We left very early in the morning to beat predicted severe weather.

Horrible access road. Will shake the fillings out of your teeth. This is about two steps above boondocking…. Which is fine if that’s what you expect.

No water service with no posting on the website. Water operating in the bath house but denied use by the owner. The owner was rude and unreasonable. This place should not be a member of KOA. This stay will make me give pause when renewing my membership with KOA

This may be a nice campground in the summer but not in the winter months. No one in office on arrival…..it was completely closed. We booked full service and on arrival there was no water. Reached manager on the phone and she said her website says limited sevice! I wasn’t aware that meant NO WATER. On the welcoming email it should have been mentioned so we had enough water for the night.

We stopped here for a few days on our way to and through Texas. Well-run facility with some longer-stay RVers. This property has a pool - it is an older facility but seemed well-maintained. The pool is concrete but was clean and cool! The laundry facilities were 50% out of order, but I noted a new washer in the box being delivered the day we left. I will say the road leading into the facility was really rough, but again, we saw a municipal road crew re-paving the county road on our way out - evidences of the property attention and upkeep. About a 15 minute drive to the state park where we were able to kayak and hike. Biking and boating in the state park there as well as a marina where we had lunch on the lake. This campground is in a rural spot, but convenient to I-40 and lots of RVers coming in for a night or two then getting on the road. Small walking trail to the lake where you could sit and/or fish. Long walk for a kayak launch (for us). The staff were great and really friendly - helped us identify the state bird too :-). Would recommend as a good layover stop. We noted they have a few cabins on site for rent too.

Very cute campground, well maintained and clean. Little noisy being right off the 40 but it's tucked back and feels safe. (The road in is a little rough - go slow) The real highlight though is the staff. I had a major breakage on my trailer and the staff were super accommodating and empathetic in getting me extra time in my campsite to figure things out.

Nice little rv park. It has a trail down to the lake which was a nice walk. Easy on and off to I-40.
