We stayed in a cabin and friends had an RV. The cabin was pretty well stocked and comfortable. Heat worked as did the shower. However the WiFi was terrible. The campground itself was small and unattractive. For a busy area it was quiet. But not much to recommend it except its closeness to the highway and Caroways.

I am so glad I decided to try this cabin instead of a hotel room! I just needed a bed & shower while traveling south & this was perfect. Had dinner after I arrived, watched a little TV, went to bed and took shower in the morning to be on the road again in the am. The hosts were great, giving me the key & map and very helpful in the morning too when I had to return to get something I forgot.

Only problem - couldn't get the TV to work. Everything else was fine. Got a fine meal at the food truck.

Nice, fast check in, but the place was under construction: water shutting off, wifi didn't work well at all, TV went out after 1 hour (I think due to internet). No towels/linens provided so bring your own. It was cold and took a while for the heat to turn on and start working. No chairs inside even though there is a table. Overall, I was disappointed. Hope upgrades are made soon.

Unfortunately the main heater in our cabin did not work. By the time we got to cabin that evening the office was closed. It was 23 degrees outside. When i mentioned it the next day upon checkout, they showed no concern or empathy. I also was with my 6 year old daughter. We were freezing.

I said that’s weird because online you do she said what we have one. Convenient. Lots of construction. Minimal amenities. Stayed in winter and the cabin was FREEZING even with the heat on. There was cold air coming through the floor and bathroom. Woke up numerous times in the middle of the night because of how cold it was and the "after hours" line on the flyer was colored off so there was no way to reach anyone.

The h20 hasn’t worked in the bathhouse in the 1 1/2 years we have stayed when visiting family since moving across the country. 7 total stays(kabins and RV). The h20 was not working about a year before the signs were put up blaming it on the city. Do better. Hygiene is important.

We stayed for a quick overnight while in the Charlotte area. The little cabin was wonderful! We enjoyed our stay, with the exception of the water issue in the bathroom. (But this water cut-off was due to the county; and the KOA ensured that toilets were running as well as the sink in the Laundry room. Apparently a temporary problem.) Overall, we had a great stay, and highly recommend!

Stayed 3 nights in a cabin. Cabin was great. Comfy for 5 people. Campgrounds were bare minimum. We've only stayed at 2 others, King's Dominion and Virginia Beach. VA Beach had a ton to do and going on. KD had a few things to do. Charlotte one had putt putt and ping pong, which were cool.

Bathroom sinks didn’t work so had to use sink in the laundry room. Camping cabin didn’t have a fridge. Beds were on the older side and sank in overnight. It was ok, but I’d look at other lodging options in the area next time.

Nice upgraded cabins and bathroom. But Mattress was very uncomfortable. Dog park needs to be upgraded. It’s to small, doesn’t have any dog play items like bridge, jump or tube.

The staff was friendly but the accommodations were less than expected. The cabin's need a bit of updating but they were clean. There was only room for one car but it appeared there was a tent/camper site located directly beside the cabin.

I am so happy that I found the cabin stays at KOA Campgrounds. We have stayed at 4 or 5 now and this one was great - cabin was perfect, lovely touch with the fireplace and the bathrooms were gorgeous. Thank you for offering such a perfect, easy stay for one night!

We stayed in a cabin. It was quite cozy and we loved the porch swing. Bathrooms were exceptionally clean. The only complaint we have is the thinness of the mattresses. I'm old and it made my hips hurt.

Did not appreciate the surprise 50$ cabin cleaning fee. That should have been disclosed BEFORE I booked the cabin or at least at checkin, not after I departed. Feels sneaky and not sure I will trust this business again….

We were in a cabin that had no trees around it and no shade! The temperature was extremely hot but felt worse because of the lack of trees for us! The campgrounds also advertised free wifi but we were unable to log on from our cabin throughout our week there! I had to walk up towards the office to get on the internet to use my iPad!

Not as many ammenities as most KOAs - location is great if you wish to go to Carowinds. Cabin was very small - was ok for my daughter and I but would not have worked if we brought the dog who is a smaller dog (42 lbs). If you are tall, bathroom would not work at all.

We loved our stay! We ran to Carowinds for the Grand Carnival. It took less than 5 minutes to get to the campground. My daughter loved the loft area!

Needed a last minute place for overnight , stay off the hwy . Called , booked cabin with ease . Customer service amazing ! Late midnight check in also! Main bathrooms absolutely spotless ! And enormous ! Would def recommend KOA to travel
