This is our second stay and will sadly be our last. It began with myself and my daughter’s family booking buddy sites with full hookup. The older woman was nasty to our daughter about her pets, and there was a constant “patrol “ during the entire stay . Then additionally we paid top dollar for 2 sites that were nothing but mud and rocks and was a pond after the rain. An 11:15 pull out = $20

As KOA members we are used to receiving texts about events, needs and etc. there was no communication here and office closed at 6pm. The reptile show was really awesome!

Great pool sites well shaded sites need graded and graveled close to lake and State Park Park showing some age nice staff all in all a great week

Pull through spot was clean and well kept. Pool was clean and enjoyable. Restroom was clean. My only complaint is the last road between the 300 row and the woods had tremendous potholes filled with water. We were able to back out of our pull through spot when we left to avoid the potholes.

Very nice. Efficient. Well maintained. Easy in and out. Great proximity to Interstate 70. We spent only one night since we were traveling west, but could stay longer and explore what might be in the area.

Our first stay the people working were polite and helpful. The 2nd time we stayed 7/10-7/11 people were rude the pool was suppose to be open and wasn’t. They took us to our spot knowing we were going to stick out due to length length let us get completely set up and made us back up barely giving us room to plug into electric. Don’t think I slept but about 2-3hrs cause people drinking all night

This was our first time staying at a KOA and we had a great time. We were really excited to find all the amenities for little kids.

Stayed over the 4th of July weekend. Staff is friendly and ready to serve. Only issue we had is the standing water from all the recent rain was very stinky. Dried up after a couple days.

Every time I have stayed at the Buckeye Lake KOA, we have stayed with no issues. When I arrived, I did not get the site that planned on. I arranged for a premium site that is a pull-through with a large concrete patio. The site that was actually given to me had electrical issues. The issues were fixed quickly. Just an overnighter for us. It is a really nice campground. We didn't do much there but the setting is nice, despite the mosquitoes....definitely wear bug spray! The trees are really nice and the sites are level. The dog park is ok but could be a little bigger.

Decent spot. Did not love that next campsite’s sewer hookup was literally next to our picnic table. Jump pad was not open, camp store closed VERY early on a summer weekend (4pm). Pool was nice and staff were friendly.

pool was closed, but reading reviews pool has been closed. Thought it was just closed. Bathrooms/showers clean, stayed in part that flooded and this has been noted before too in rev One side with long term campers a little rundown. Cabins looked great. would stay again but would ask if pool is open. game room very nice, pool looked great. People were not happy and buying baby pools from DG.

Great office staff. Had a pull thru site with a patio. Looks like they had new bench swings at most of the sites. Clean, quite.

One of the best KOA's we've stayed at. Campground was laid out extremely well and very organized. Sites are level with the sewage pipes low to the ground. Bathrooms and laundry very clean. Host was very courteous and gave a nice welcome. Will be staying here on our return trip home.

We were put in a site next to the restroom with no WiFi without being told at check in. The swimming pool was closed because of mechanical issues in July! Not worth what they charge per night at all

Very wet. Mud was everywhere and set up was a slip and slide and the area smelled....also needed gravel in the sites. Arrived after hours and left early. Make sure you have a 30 amp from 50 amp pig tail as no 4 prong 50 amp service at my site. The web site said 50 amp unless I missed something in the registration site. We won't go back.

Just a quick overnight stop. Sites are very small and tight. The campground apparently floods easily and everything was wet and muddy. The staff was very nice and helpful

Great big camp ground over 140 sites they had three days of rain and gave us a beautiful patio site so we were not in the mud, vert nice staff. Only stayed one night wish we could’ve stayed longer. thanks Pam for all your help.

Although the campground is older, it is in good repair. The bathrooms were clean and there was plenty of hot water. It rained most of the time we were there so it is understandable that there wasn't a lot to.do. I was disappointed that the pool was closed and we were told we would get 10% of our stay refunded. As of today that has not happened. (We stayed 6/26-30) The staff was very friendly.

Site was not cared for- poison oak around trees, people walking pets allowed dogs to their duty at the trees near camper door- and most of all- the wifi was extremly weak or not working. I expect better for KOA

We were assigned a site not reserved online, without full hookups. Then had to move the camper to a site that was partially flooded. The pool was closed for repairs, much to the dismay of our kids. Also, the office/store closed early, at 4 pm. Probably will not go back there.

Nice but pool was closed by heath department and it rained alot so alot of mud at our site. Needs more stones. However the people were very nice and friendly. Also the showers and bathrooms newer and clean. Location convenient to downtown and zoo.

The week before our stay there was a notice on the website that the pool was closed. I called the office because I wanted to make sure it would be open for our stay and was told it was opening the next day. I checked the website the day before and day of our arrival and no notice. But we got there and the pool was closed. Nothing on website or Facebook or an email. Should have let people know.

I received a text at 12:55am welcoming us to Buckeye Lake. I didn’t appreciate that! We were put in the area where full timers stay. It wasn’t very will kept! Staff was very friendly.

When we arrived the sign said pool is closed, I asked why? I was told they were giving me 10 percent off because of it they did not. The wifi did not work they said a man was working on it and left so it would not work. The place was dirty and not well taken care of. I would say compared to all the other KOA we stay at it was realy bad.

This could be a great KOA. The associates in the office and workers on the ground are wonderful.....friendly and helpful. The owners need to step it up. Put new gravel down so when it rains it's not a mud hole. Our site had no electric and the pool is out in 90 degree weather.

We stay here a lot, it's close to home. We like to camp during the week, less traffic and noise, peaceful. But, they advertise all this stuff to do for kids, and nothing is ever available to do for kids. Bounce thing for kids always deflated, you have to pay for putt putt now, a water balloon station that never works. The pool is hit or miss if it's open. Not worth it for what you pay.

The staff were very friendly and helpful with our questions. We were looking so forward to enjoying Buckeye Lake but there were no quick access points to the lake. Also, the kayak rentals are far away from the camp that you would have to drive to get there. That is no fault of the camp but it sure makes it harder to enjoy a great experience. Their pool was well maintained and we enjoyed it.

This is a wonderful place to take the family camping. So much for the kids to do, swimming in the pool, giant inflatable jumping mat, mini golf, game room and more. Great employees working SO hard to make this older park enjoyable for all. We really enjoyed our stay.
