Bathrooms were filthy 80% of the time, heavy rains caused flooding & the staff and office was clueless as to what to do. Campers were outraged at the lack of help and knowledge of the staff.

Previously had stayed in our camper and that was a great experience. This time rented a cabin. This experience was disappointing. The cabin had not been thoroughly cleaned. There were mouse droppings in the bunk areas and a liquor bottle under the mattress. The hot water never reached to the shower so it was an uncomfortable shower for that evening. I would not rent a cabin again. Cabin was KL1.

Nice cabin and clean KOA. Staff was very nice and the rest of the area and items in KOA looked very well kept.

Cabin was decent, it was clean and included linens on the bed. The hot water works, on the wrong side of the faucet but it works and is hot. Really the only complaint is the mattress is horrible, way past needing to be replaced, the foam topper helps but not enough.

The kids had a great time…even with the rain and cold! They always find something to do. And the staff is so friendly!!

We booked the cabin to stay in while we attended Equine Affair at Columbus Expo Center. We loved our cabin!!! We lioved the campground and what it offered. We only wish we had more time at the campground. We definitely plan on coming back!

I had a one-night stay at Buckeye Lake and it was wonderful. The KOA was pleasantly decorated for fall, the entire area was clean, and the staff was responsive. I arrived after the office had closed and while my reservation materials were readily available, the key to my kabin was not. However, the person on evening duty was prompt and arrived to get it to me within about 10 minutes.

Accommodations were great except the refrigerator was continuously very noisy. The air conditioner in the main room was also very noisy - probably could use a good cleaning. Strange goings-on in the campground Saturday night. We were a bit uneasy with sirens, strange vehicles and strangers coming in and going out during the night.

I stayed in cabin SC1 and it was so perfect! I was worried I wouldn't have a place to put my cpap and uh it in but the built in shelves and outlets on both sides of the bed were awesome. The price was a bit steep but to have a cozy little cabin like that made it easier to pay that much. Staff were so friendly and helpful also. 1st time staying at a KOA but definitely not my last!

I really enjoyed my stay! The girls at the store was very polite and helpful! The community of the camp grounds were very polite and friendly! The only downside to the visit was bunk bed mattresses were very uncomfortable!

I was only booked to stay for 2 nights but my pups and I were having such a great time we stayed two extra days. Staff was great and super friendly. It’s one of my favorite places to stay.

Very nice clean campground, clean restrooms. Staff very friendly, the only thing is I think the campground Store needs to open up before 10 AM especially for the people that stays in the basic cabins that have no coffee maker. It’d be nice to be able to come over and get a coffee and a snack.

The Crew was great , very pleasant and accommodating to our needs ! We can’t wait to see what the new GM will do ! Cabin was clean . The only reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5 stars is that I had to clean the A/C filter, the outside table needed power washed and the deck needed stained , but that didn’t keep us from having a great stay , can’t wait to go back !

Everything in the cabin was broken. The wifi didn't work. No remote for the TV. Several amenities closed. Outdoor seating and stairs were broken. Toilet ran. Creepy residents and cat. When we first got there and tried to put our food in the fridge, a shelf fell out and snapped in half as we opened the door. I told the staff and she said there would be no fee. Then you charged me $50. Liars.

Feel very safe, cabin was clea, very nice campground . Stayed in the primitive cabin. I just feel that I paid two nights $300 that they really need to put coffee pots in for people to have at least.

TV wifi did not connect, no fix. Shower was dirty, had other peoples hair on the shelves/floor. Didnt have blankets but got that night. Our fire pit had a hole in the side and wood fell out during fire, it was replaced next day. Pillows very thin and plastic. Deck had some very soft boards, felt like they were going to fall through in spots. Staff was excellent and very nice.

bathrooms were awful. stayed at many koa campgrounds. by far the worst. dirty old run down kids areas ....no taken care of pool cloudy and old. mini cabin nice clean and kept. just needs a major update. we did have fun. just need to match other koa campgrounds....

The mosquitos were horrible during our stay. They left us alone at the pool and we got relief when we went to Buckeye Lake, but sitting outside at the campground was almost impossible. We went through multiple cans of OFF and burned citronella candles the whole time and they were still awful. Other than that it was a great campground with lots of activities and fun for the kids.

The only negative thing I could say. Is that there was alot of water standing which ment alot of mosquitoes and they were annoying. So maybe a few more spraying throughout rainy weather may be needed

My extended family and I have an annual campout at buckeye lake koa and we’ve always had a good time. A few years ago, this koa fell under new management and they have done a great job with the place. We had an absolutely fantastic time. Facilities are clean, pool is clean, everything we used worked, and the staff was incredibly helpful and easy to work with. I look forward to coming back.

Primitive cabin parking is annoying, either far away from cabin or small and cramped/not dedicated for each cabin. This KOA seemed to be more to seasonal/permanent lots and seemed to be a lot of visitors to each of them. Semi noisy the first night and I left early the second just because I wanted to go home, nothing camp site related. It was an ok weekend place to stay for the Ohio State Fair.

Limited kids activities. All they had was the pool, game room and playground and they charged me 5 dollars a child and no kids activities. This was one of the reason why I chose KOA

The cabin we stayed in was great. The campground itself could use some “help” with drainage during rain as it was quite difficult to let our kids out to play with all the mud and large puddles all over, some campsites were completely under water.The office, while everyone was very nice, was not on the same page at all when it came to my having guests for a party and payment that came with that

I loved this location. During the rainy season, make sure NOT to book sites on the creek. Well.seasoned campers will do well during the rain otherwise. There are plenty of of shelters if the rain gets overwhelming. The activities were an unexpected bonus! This property is situated in a charming lakeside village with a few eateries within walking distance. Perfect for families!
