Good stay. Only one night. Could not use bath house because of the uncleanliness. Lots of debris around. We did notice the next day people were out picking it up. Lots of permanent camoers

mpground d This campground certainly does not meet what we expect from a KOA. Very overpriced for the condition it is in. Our patio was a tripping hazard with bricks falling off. Piles of leaves everywhere. No one in the office when we arrived at 2:30 even though we were told they would be in until 4 pm. Overall, a very run down place. Move on.

Staff very friendly, park is old and needs a lot of TLC . The area around the park has many places to explore and looks like it be a great place to visit in warmer weather.

This place is a dump, it’s run down and over priced. The staff is rude and will scream at you for asking any kind of questions. Go elsewhere this place is awful. I’d give it 0 stars if possible.

The park is beautiful and the staff was great. My dogs were terrified of the falling acorns. We had to leave.

Cons, Campground has flooding issue. One way in and out causes problems during busy times. Pool was down half the summer. Little pricey , management change was bad too. Also trees in campground could use some attention branches coming down on camper roofs Pros, bathrooms and showers were clean , location is a plus close to lake , restaurants, bars ECT , workers were friendly and helpful.

I reached the Buckeye Lake campground in early July 2025, eager to enjoy some time away from the bustle of daily life. From the moment I arrived, the manager and her staff consistently exceeded my expectations, going above and beyond to make my stay as comfortable and pleasant as possible. They were always available to answer any questions, provided helpful suggestions about local attractions.

They were so nice, we had trouble unhooking the car from the trailer. They made it happen, on a cold rainy day. They helped us with local entertainment because it was raining and cold. They even came after hours to check on us, 2 novice women. The site was clean, despite 2 days of hard rain. We will definitely stay here again!!!

I have stayed at over 100 KOA sites through the years. This property is probably the worst KOA I have ever stayed at. I would have left if I hadn't already payed for the season. When it rains sites flood and due to a lack of gravel they become mud pits. The pool seems to be closed more than open. The tables in the pool area are covered in a black mold really need a power wash.

We just stayed overnight while traveling back home. It was close enough to 70 that it was an easy on and off but far enough away that you couldnt hear the highway. Grounds were clean and it looked like there was plenty to do if you were staying for more than just overnight. Would consider coming back.

The staff was awesome. Very attentive. It was the last of three trick or treat weekends and was booked out. The bathrooms were very clean. WiFi is much better than it was earlier this year. A haunted trail added a nice touch. We were booked for four nights. Ended up staying six. We camp here a few times a year.

Terrible experience. Booked a space for 40 foot motorhome towing a vehicle. Arrived at 5pm and found space would not even adequately fit a 40 foot motorhome let alone towing. Website said office closed at 6pm but on arrival found it closed at 4pm. Left multiple messages on the after hours telephone number that evening that were not answered EVER! Had to find a solution on our own. Terrible!

The KOA is very conveniently located to access all that Buckeye Lake has to offer. The staff was very friendly & helpful. The campground sites are very close together and very tight for maneuvering. Not all bathrooms & showers were open/available, but we never had to wait. Due to the sites being so close, if you are looking for a quiet getaway, this isn’t the place. A lot to offer for kids thoug

our stay was good, everyone was very nice, good activities for the weekend..I do miss the pancake breakfast but that's ok LOL and we love that you rent golf carts that really helps my husband get around the campgrounds.

Fast easy check in! Sites were clean, bathrooms and shower houses were spotless. Staff was friendly and monitored the KOA all day long. First time going there and it won’t be our last.

The campground is very pretty and always very clean. This is one of our go-to stops as we travel south and we will continue to do so. Mia and the other staff are amazing. This time we had issues with our RV and had to extend our stay two extra days during an extremely busy time at the campground. She was very understanding and made sure that we were taken care of.

I had a one-night stay at Buckeye Lake and it was wonderful. The KOA was pleasantly decorated for fall, the entire area was clean, and the staff was responsive. I arrived after the office had closed and while my reservation materials were readily available, the key to my kabin was not. However, the person on evening duty was prompt and arrived to get it to me within about 10 minutes.

It was impossible to have a campfire the way the campsites were set up. People patrolling all hours in golf carts made it difficult to sleep at night

The young ladies in office were very kind and helpful. Wonderful gift shop. Need more sizes of tees. lol I understand it’s end of season. lol � our lot was nice and efficient! Workers stopped svd talked with us. Very polite svd helpful. We will be back.

seems to be under new management, but this KOA is still overpriced and poorly maintained. Dead tree limbs hang dangerously, sites are tiny and crammed, and it feels more like a rundown trailer park than a family campground. No real kid activities, outdated playground, strange camp store hours, and no direct Buckeye Lake access. Overall, unsafe, neglected, and not worth the high price.

highest rate of all the KOA' we stayed in on this trip. Although we were only stopping for the night, most of the activities available had an additional charge. The shower/bathroom was not well maintained--the trough drain in the shower was very full of hair and whatever.

Accommodations were great except the refrigerator was continuously very noisy. The air conditioner in the main room was also very noisy - probably could use a good cleaning. Strange goings-on in the campground Saturday night. We were a bit uneasy with sirens, strange vehicles and strangers coming in and going out during the night.

I loved this location. During the rainy season, make sure NOT to book sites on the creek. Well.seasoned campers will do well during the rain otherwise. There are plenty of of shelters if the rain gets overwhelming. The activities were an unexpected bonus! This property is situated in a charming lakeside village with a few eateries within walking distance. Perfect for families!

My husband, sister in law and I camped the weekend. It was very nice and relaxing. The manger was very welcoming and friendly. It was clean.
