We have stayed at the Buckeye Lake KOA for many years. This is the first year that we have had very poor service. The staff were not friendly and none of them smiled. As a group we contemplated moving our event to a different location.

We stayed in the studio cabin. Very nice little cabin, very clean. Lots for the kids to do. Gave 4stars instead of 5, because even though the cabin had lots of linens, there were no dishes. We brought everything but dishes understanding that they were provided. Asked management and was told they but them in at the beginning of the season, then they are used up or taken.

Our cabin was lovely, but lacked basic expected supplies, like cups or mugs, even though there was a coffee maker. Also, there was never an attendant at the bikes/blow ups/put put course.

Way over priced! The sites are horrible, very uneven gravel and on top of each other. You could hear the people next to us inside their camper. There is zero privacy. We've been coming in October the last 4 years for the Halloween actives and each year they have been less and less activities. This year you had to pay $3 for a tiny $1 pumpkin to decorate with stickers. Play ground is so outdated.

I stayed at a tent site and the wood golf cart never came by to see if we need wood. Tables and the seat posts need repaired. Some of the activities happened at the same time. Wish the store was open a little later. But over all I loved my time at KOA

Overall nice, but make sure that you read the site descriptions very closely. The 'Awning-to-Awning' sites should be described as 'Awning-OR-Awning'. Our VERY close neighbor site had their awning out, so we could have never opened ours. These sites are well beyond tightly packed. Might be what some folks want. If you want to hear every sound from inside both neighbor RVs, might be for you. Not us.

Nice grounds, clean facilities. Disappointed that the laundry facilities were not available “ til further notice”.

We stayed in cabin #1, across from our daughter. Our other daughter who lives in the area, bought our grand children to play. We all had fun and the weather was great.

Lovely campground with lots of trees, squirrels, level sites & friendly staff. We will definitely be coming back!! My only suggestion would be to lower the height of the sewer holes. “Stuff” doesn’t drain well if it has to go uphill.

Pleasant stay. Campground was fairly empty. Looked like it had nice activities for families.

For a busy, fairly full campground on a weekend, I was pleasantly surprised by how quiet it was both during the day and at night.

Enjoyed our stay. found that the site itself was lacking some. the patio is so high off the stone parking area that I had to park a foot and a half away from the patio so my steps could open all the way. Creates a little step hazard.

Activities were very unorganized with a crazy wristband system(that you werent given at check in) where you needed a different wristband for each activity. There was a very rude lady that worked there even telling my 3 yr old granddaughter she couldnt get her treat because she didnt have her purple band she turned away other kids as well. So called amenities were not open because of cold temp.?

We do not like being across the bridge area and dogs were so loud barking. We stayed at site 75 also not sure y the store closes so early especially on the weekends. We have stayed many times there but the last 2 times we feel it has not been the same

Staff seemed unorganized. We’re making a big deal about the wrist bands. Get like other campgrounds that just have one wristband for the weekend. We don’t need 4 different wrist bands for the weekend. Then when people complain, they just stopped checking them. Staff got caught in a lie about text message contents. The nicest man there was the one who filled my propane. He was the best.

We loved the sites that we were in. Staff could have been a bit more friendly. Upon arriving we were not given wrist bands for our children. We were told they would come around with wrist bands. They did not. We had to go ask for them and then we were questioned on how many kids we had as if we were lying. It felt very unorganized.

Our cable didn’t work and the trees we were under were dropping nuts on our roof all night long that sounded like artillery fire. We didn’t get any sleep so we left a day early.

We full time RV and ”Buckeye Lake/Columbus” whenever we are passing through the area. We are always treated with respect and always find the park well maintained.

Went on a weekend for Sat. night. Very crowded. Reserved online & were assigned a buddy site. Did not really want that. For some reason they had a band playing til about 2 am. We were traveling home and music made it very difficult to sleep. Staff was very friendly & prepared for us. May have to try another campground in the area next time we are traveling. This was early Oct.

The staff has been very helpful & polite & the actual camp sites are very nice. The camp ground seems to attract great camping neighbors & there is really good food close by. We have really enjoyed our stay at Buckeye Lake KOA.

We enjoyed our stay as usual and love the area. Things have changed since the pandemic. The office is not open as many hours. Your have to text for service. That works pretty well most of the time. While this is not a problem for us, the Wi-Fi is horrible and so is the cable. These items are listed as “amenities” and are justification of the high nightly rate. Still a fave loca regardl

I love this place it has the best bathrooms and showers and all of the United States. Everybody should stop by just to look at the bathrooms. The only bad thing I can say about this place is we only had one day to spend there we definitely will be back.

Rented a tent site and the managers and employees were super helpful and very nice. Great location for Buckeye Lake activities.

We were early season guests during a week with very strong spring weather. The camp hosts were awesome and worked tirelessly to keep us and all of the other guests happy, comfortable and taken care of. The campsite itself is right in the heart of Buckeye Lake with super easy access to local restaurants, the lakefront and convenience stores.
