50 Amp power outlet didn’t work. Someone came out immediately to check it out. We got the 30 amp power to work which was okay since I didn’t need both air conditioners. Site was pretty muddy. I’m not sure how much rain there was prior to my arrival. Several of the sites next to me were unusable due to being covered in water. Otherwise the campground was nice and shady and my site was roomy.

The staff is WONDERFUL! My problem with this KOA is that it looks and feels very run down and not well maintained. The area around the arcade is very trashed up. Weeds are overgrown. It just looks bad. And I don't know what is up with the abandoned trailer down by the dog park that has an actual tree growing out of it, but it seems like a safety hazard. For the expensive price, it should improve.

Extremely clean bathrooms and showers. Peaceful nice stay with good shade if you want it. Staff was pleasant.

Always like Buckeye Lake KOA. A little pricey, but the campgrounds are nice and the check in/out is easy.

It was all flooded and muddy mess at the site. All the hook ups are in the front and not the back of the RVs so you need two cords to reach. The septic was broken and from the reviews which we failed to read before had been for awhile. The dump statin is higher than the road, so you have to let the sewage drain into the hose and then lift it to dump into the station. Run down never again!

When I checked in,I mentioned I was having family visiting for the day. Later I was asked to pay $10 a person .On their KOA site it only mentions guests have to pay if using“recreational activities”which they did not,it rained all day and they were strictly at my campsite.I was also told they could park at my campsite and the empty one next to mine,but was later told,while eating,they had to m

We were placed in the last concrete patio site facing the bathroom and construction parked trucks. Site needed gravel. Was so low we needed boards to raise our camper so we could open our door using the pull out steps. We were disappointed this visit. We have been here every year for 9 years straight . The campers when you first pull into the entry way of the koa campground were an eye sore.

All the permanent campers make the place look junky..also if you get any rain or floods very easy. The sites are too close. The staff was friendly though. This just wasn’t what we were used to with the KOAs we have stayed at.

The deluxe cabin was nice except for the bed. The mattress was very saggy and we didn’t sleep well. The staff was very nice but the camp store did not have any lighters to buy to start a fire. We forgot ours and couldn’t buy one. Luckily another camper gave us one.

Site was tight and had a lingering foul odor. Pool was closed, and the mini golf needed major cleanup and maintenance. Several pull thru sites were unavailable due to unstable electrical issues. The only positive we found was the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Management and Staff were very friendly and helpful. There are copious amounts of children and adult activities there and the pool didn't wreak of chlorine!

We arrived on Friday 9/4/26 for a 3 night stay. Friday night it rained and flooded our camp site. There was 2" of water outside of our door. The water subsided somewhat, but the picnic table and fire ring were under water for the remainder of our stay. The campsite was a muddy mess. It would have been nice if we offered a dry site.

We stayed in a deluxe cabin. It wasnt clean. Leftover raw chicken in fridge, plastic water bottles floor by couch used tooth pics on floor by bed. Dust collected under bunk mattress. Musty smell to cabin. The overall campground just needs some TLC.. When we were there , they had a major mosquito problem. They were so bad u couldnt sit outside. The Buckeye Lake area is so beautiful.

Sites are very small and tight, lots of standing water makes for a mosquito paradise, likely won’t stay again.

Absolutely loved our spot 313. It was perfect! The miniature golf was fun, but needs some love. The concrete makes it rough to play. Weeds everywhere and just needs some attention.

This was our first time camping here. We feel we had the perfect spot! Everyone was very welcoming and helpful. We will definitely be back !

The studio cabin was comfortable and clean. I wish the refrigerator were bigger and there was a stove.

KOA Buckeye Lake is perfect for families with children and/or beginner campers. The staff is friendly and there are seasonal activities onsite. The lake is a short drive away and golf carts are encouraged. This was my 2nd stay to introduce the grandchildren to camping. I highly recommend it!

Everyone we encountered was very nice and welcoming. Apologized for a bathroom close to our site that was unavailable due to flooding, ensured we knew where the others were. Bathrooms and showers were immaculate (coming from a very A type person on cleanliness). Enjoyed our one night stay very much and would recommend!

The park was very clean. The sites were easy to access. We loved our site with glider for two. Bathrooms were clean. Staff was very kind.

When we arrived we were told that the sewer was broken so we would not be able to use it. They would have a honey pot available for use. I signed up Thursday evening for Sunday morning. Sunday AM came, he was starting to go by us. He said we were not on his list, but he stopped and did us right then. Office kinda failed this trip. Maintenance (Craig) was awesome and very helpful.

It was good I only stayed one night because I was gonna do a body positivity camp in Newark and just wanted a place to stay for the night so I didn’t have to travel the same day. There were lots of amenities. Loved the pool and that it was not only open during Labor Day weekend but it had longer hours than I expected. The cabin had ac and felt good. I love the camp store as well

They had been flooded but neglected to post this in their website. We arrived and were informed that we wouldn't be able to have full hookup even though we paid for it. We needed to dump our black tank but had to wait until our next stop. However, we understood that flooding was beyond their control but they didn't tell us that the restroom and showers were closed near our site. Very disappoint

Overall great, super friendly staff, quiet and cozy. The mosquitoes were terrible. The water pressure in the shower was unusable, and tried to go to the shower house and get a shower instead and they were out of order

Very nice clean place, gravel sites and lots of trees. Had recent flooding, so there were lots of mosquitos. Close to everything in Buckeye Lake.

It wasn’t a bad stay but they had a flood before we came, so it was still muddy in the spot they put us and the extra water created a lot of mosquitos. There were a lot of open spots out of the mud and we felt since we were loyal members that they should have offered us one of those or a discount for the inconvenience.

Well the emergency flooding and evacuation was not pleasant. Having to leave a day early. At least we got a refund. I get this happens but after further research this koa park floods often. Dont book if its going to rain or had been raining. Pool saftey gate did not work properly. But everything else was fine. The bathrooms were nice and clean. Workers are helpful and kind. Location convenient.

Was never made aware it was flood zone. Severe flooding occurred due to near record amount of rainfall resulting in a mandatory evacuation. I was 2” away from losing everything, mostly likely. The event was out of their control, but informing campers is. I didn’t receive any communication or warning from the park until I had already evacuated in waste deep water.

Booked two nights, this was during the August 2026 flooding in nearby Columbus. I was a little taken aback by the standing water when I checked in. I t rained all night and by morning the standing water had become alarming. I called the office and they were very concerned as well. Eventually I had to evacuate and staff was so helpful providing an escort through very high standing water.

Very expensive for a one night stay . No amenities wanted or used. Consider reduced rate for a single night. There is no where in area for folks just passing through at a decent rate. Would engender good publcity.The flooding was beyond your control.

Very clean and friendly staff. Was here for Halloween weekend. The did a great job treating the kids. The bouncy pad was great for the kids
