We really enjoyed the campgrounds, but management was not friendly and often yelled directly at the children instead of bringing up any concerns to parents. For being a customer driven business, the management has a lot to work on. Don't plan on coming back at this point or recommending the campground to friends or family.

We stayed Halloween weekend in a camping cabin. The cabin was as advertised. The staff throughout our staff was attentive, professional, courteous. The activities for the kids (mining, pedal cars, pumpkin painting, costume contests, DJ dance party, etc. made the weekend so special. Loved that all of the people staying there participated in trick or treating for the kids. Will be back.

We stayed in the KL3 cabin closer to the front of the campground. Overall, the cabin was nice. It was toward the end of the season, so we understand that. But, the table was pretty sticky and blinds were missing from some of the windows or broken. Nothing terribly wrong, but it was evident that some upkeep was needed overall. Would stay again - and am planning on it.

Our go to for family fun. Halloween is perfect for the family to enjoy a safe place for the grandkids, Mopar Weekend always a blast and many other times as well.

We have noticed that since the new owners have taken over, the maintenance of the campground is subpar compared to how it use to be. The staff isn’t as friendly either. We have paid for cable sites the last two times we have been there and the cable doesn’t work. We have reported it and the staff in the office are less than helpful.

Great time! All the staff were fabulous. Next time I’ll pick my spot that’s not right in front of the office. The last time we were more forward the side. But we had a great time. And RIGHT next door is the best pizza ever!

We love the buckeye lake KOA and have stayed many times. Very clean, friendly helpful staff and we always enjoyed the family atmosphere. But I must say this time we were very disappointed and surprised how loud the campground was after 11pm even up to 3am! The other thing was the Halloween weekend costume judging started early, we came 15 minutes before scheduled time and missed it.

Very disappointed we weren't given a partial refund when we called at 1pm, and most likely you rented our RV spot.

Scheduled an overnight stay on 10/16/23 on our way to Kansas. On our return called to see if we could get an overnight on our return. Even though it was Halloween weekend they were able to secure a lot for us. Everyone was so nice and welcoming. Thank you Debbie for making it happen!!

Ok at best. No one excourt us to site,I've come to expect that .Paper in fire pit, site coveted with heavy leaves.I paid too much for no more then state park offers.

We enjoyed the tall trees and large site. It was quiet and clean. Activities were abundant if you wish that. Restrooms were clean. There were a variety of options for showers. Check them out.

Tried to cancel 2 weeks before and they said we were too late to cancel it needed to be 4 weeks notice. We were billed full price and did not go there, i dont think thats fair 1 night charge would be fair. We will not go back again, we liked camping there the other times we were there.

I rented a golf cart. The lights didn’t work. They said they couldn’t fix it and then we were harassed by Bill until we gave him the keys because we drove it at night. They ended up replacing the cart but it was after an intense argument with Bill. Bill also accused my husband of stealing firewood when he bought some from the campsite store because we couldn’t find Bill to get the wood from

Disappointed since it has been taken over by new management. Had to pay $25 to bring a golf cart in. When reservation was made there was no such charge. It has lost the family feeling. Now just a business out for a profit

We meet family and friends at Buckeye Lake KOA for a weekend every October. The grounds and shared spaces are well maintained, the amenities are plentiful, (especially if kids are along), and the staff is great. See you next year!

It was good, enjoyed the little kids running around trick or treating. Did not enjoy the loud, foul language from some of the alcoholics. They did quiet down just before 11pm quiet hour. That is to late to have the start of quiet hour.

It's convenient to our storage facility and our home so we stay often. However, it's rather pricy, over $100 a night makes you rethink camping vs staying in a hotel. We've stayed on both side of the campground but will only stay in a deluxe patio pull thru site. The other pull thrus are IMO way too close together. Your neighbors sewer connection is right where you would be seated at your site.

Great campground in the area. Sites are close, but they are well maintained & several electric/water and FHU. Staff are friendly & quick to respond to needs for wood/ice. Rates are a good bit higher than state parks but you are paying for the KOA name. We enjoyed our stay.

Rented a tent site and the managers and employees were super helpful and very nice. Great location for Buckeye Lake activities.

The camp hosts were awesome and worked tirelessly to keep us and all of the other guests happy, comfortable and taken care of. The campsite itself is right in the heart of Buckeye Lake with super easy access to local restaurants, the lakefront and convenience stores.
