The proximity and accessibility to Buckeye Lake is phenomenal. The staff is courteous and friendly. Unfortunately, the overwhelming number of mosquitoes overshadowed and hampered our visit. We hoped to enjoy an evening campfire, but despite our use of insect repellant, we retreated indoors to our campers because the mosquitoes were unbearable. Is it possible to spray/fog the campground ??

We were really disappointed with this KOA. The sites were not well kept. Our lot had no grass and was mostly mud and leaves from last fall. The amenities advertised when we booked were not available (pool and WiFi). The pictures online are not an accurate representation of what you get. This was not worth the nightly KOA reservation cost.

Very wet, muddy conditions. Placed in a spot I couldn't get into with the unit I had. All of which information they previously had. Moved to another spot that worked out. So gave a 3 overall rating.

Didn’t know the pool was down. Woke up to all our stuff under water on Sunday morning. Skillets that should have been okay sitting on the ground ruined. You should let people know the entire place floods when it rains so we can protect our stuff The staff was great however

Mosquitos ate us alive. Everything was run down and not what I expected from a KOA. no wifi no pool. Sites were muddy - gravel would have helped. Very disappointing

We had a great stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My only suggestion is to put some more gravel down on the drives. A lot of potholes. Other than that everything was great! Thank you!

We had a wonderful stay. Hospitality was great! The only thing is that the pool was closed! Issues with the pool, Must have happened sometime after my reservation. I should have asked about a discount because of the pool, but I didn’t. Other than that it was nice stay (could have done without the rain, but that’s part of it). Thank you! Looking forward in coming back

I want to make a point that it would have been nice to have been told that the pool wasn't working when we booked the site, as well as your internet not working. No discount for the inconveniences this caused. I don't know who the new owner is but charging for put put golf is wrong when it was free before and I don't believe there was problems with the balls being taken or the clubs.

We enjoyed the stay because of the location to access everything we wanted to do. Going to Kings Island, Columbus Zoo, Buckeye Lake, and visit with family members in the area. The KOA campground needs updated. Swimming pool was down pump broke, miniature golf course needs resurfaced, basketball court concrete needs repaired, All the staff was phenomenal and made our stay enjoyable.

Staff was great as we arrived just before closing. We found connections for sewer. electric and water a little difficult to use on our site. Sewer was up hill from where we needed to connect.

The Columbus East KOA is very easy to get to from route 70 and convenient to Buckeye Lake and all the restaurants. This KOA is very dated and needs a lot of updates and TLC. Compared to other KOA‘s this campground visually needed some work.The Wi-Fi and the pool were not working during our stay. Staff were very friendly.

We stayed at the KOA and it poured down rain the first night which caused nothing but a mud puddle completely around our camper. It would be nice if there was more gravel or grass in the areas that tend to flood. It made it very uncomfortable for camping. This is the second time we’ve camped there and this has happened.

The campground is showing its age. One of the bathrooms was out of order and a lot of sites were flooded out. Would recommend improvements and new gravel or mulch at the sites to cut down on the mud and wetness

Clean restrooms and good location.. there was no cable or internet. Was told a storm wiped them out two weeks ago along with the electric. Then stated can't get workers back until next week. Suspect they are switching wifi and I was not told the correct info. Should have discounted my stay or refunded my 3 nights so I could go up the road. May not return!

There was no WiFi,the bathrooms in the back were closed, the cable doesn’t work from a flood. They tell you that after you check in. The site had water all around it. After driving for 9 hours didn’t have the energy to leave. They still charged the full price after all that. Very disappointed again with KOA. We have been members for many years but not anymore.

Sites are tight and very close together. Exit turn is VERY tight (greater than 90 degrees). Campground was still recovering from Spring floods so difficult to provide an accurate assessment.

No WIFI, water turned off without notice, sites weedy and muddy. Sites very tight - neighbors sewer hose was right next to my picnic table. Seems like an older tired campground.

I called end of April to cancel our reservations left a message.Received an email reminding us of our upcoming stay,I emailed back May 15th said I already called and left a voicemail that we needed to cancel, I got no return email. Still was charged a night ..the girl even said they were having problems with the phone ,she also seen the email I sent...totally not FAIR..

We’ve stayed there a couple of times. I’m sure we will again. The staff has always been friendly. The facilities and better than most. Good close activities to do around if you’re into that as well.

The staff was super friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay. Our only constructive feedback was that the DJ was very loud. We could hear every word inside our camper. We have a young daughter who needed to go to sleep and it made it a bit difficult. Other than that, we loved the campground.

The stay was very unwelcoming! There was a busted water line or something through our campsite so part of it was flooded the entire time. One shower house was closed. No WiFi during our stay. Not all activities were open as advertised. Some staff super friendly others were not nice or knowledgeable. Staff did deliver ice and one man aired up bike tires. Will not choose to stay again. Left early.

Campground and facilities were clean and well shaded. Sites could use some new gravel. Water leak somewhere around site 180 kept the road and edges of campsites a bit muddy and wet.

It seems like it’s gone down over the last couple years. I’m sorry to say. There’s no activities it seems like for adults anymore. There used to be bingo extra and Memorial D weekend. It was dead except for the one night that had a DJ. I would think you would have more things going on. We were just very surprised you had a few things. We go to relax but not be bored. Years we have come

Nice campground with mature trees and very friendly and helpful staff. A lot of the activity equipment is poorly maintained. A bath and shower house was out of service but the other two we still open and clean. Campground did have activities with campers but we only found out about them by the night host driving around on their golf cart. Suggest adding a flyer of activities when you check in

The campground seems very quaint and family/pet friendly, the staff are very nice and outgoing they escort you to your site. My only gripe is really the firewood that you have to purchase. It Burns way too quick. And they claim that you can't bring your own in. Also they claim you cant burn the sticks/ logs in the central scrap pile... idk but all in all thank you guys!

Just ok - lots for kids to do and probably nice in summer but only there for one night - I paid extra for a pad site so I wouldn’t be in the flooded area again like we were on way out for our trip

I loved this location. During the rainy season, make sure NOT to book sites on the creek. Well.seasoned campers will do well during the rain otherwise. There are plenty of of shelters if the rain gets overwhelming. The activities were an unexpected bonus! This property is situated in a charming lakeside village with a few eateries within walking distance. Perfect for families!
