So it’s Monday in Vermont, and you ask yourself, what is there even to do in the Greater Brattleboro area? Well, we are here to help you figure that out. Here are some of our favorite activities to do early in the week. 

Wine & Beer

  • Putney Mountain Wine & Spirits

     Open seven days a week make sure to go for a wine tasting at Putney Mountain Wine and Spirits. I know, we talk about this place a lot, but we really love their locally sourced wines. The best part is they are open seven days a week from 11:00AM to 5:00PM every day. So swing on by their beautiful tasting room to sample some delicious fruit wines and liquors.
  • Hermit Thrush Brewery
    29 High St #101c, Brattleboro, VT 05301
     Open Thursday thru Monday 11:00AM to 7:00PM. A delicious local sour brewer that utilizes wild yeast to make their beer. You will find unique pairings like cherry and juniper. If you like sour beers you will not be disappointed. Enjoy a flight from what they have on tap or make a half or full case to take home.
  • River Garden Marketplace
    157 Main St, Brattleboro, VT 05301
     Open Thursday thru Monday we are continuing on our beer journey is the Riverside Marketplace. A fun place to enjoy local brews from New England all in one place. They also have light bites and local art, crafts, and creators on display for purchase.

     Open seven days a week, if you love cheese and all the things that go delicious with cheese the Grafton Village Cheese Company is a must. Make sure to ask the cheese counter what their favorite is and if they are sampling it.

Sweet Treats

  • Blueberry Haus

     Blueberry Haus is a must if you are in the mood for a sweet treat. With great homemade ice creams, you will find all sorts of delicious flavor combinations here. Waffle cones have been known to sell out quickly when the weather is nice so make sure to grab one if they are in stock! There are two locations, the Guilford location is our favorite in the Summer months.
  • Amy’s Bakery

     Enjoy this bakery with a view Monday thru Saturday. Known for their delicious pastries you will also find good coffee and sandwiches here. Make sure to walk to the back dining area to enjoy beautiful river views.

     For the night owl, we recommend The Collective Lounge. Open seven days a week starting at 4:00PM with varying closing times from 12:00AM during the week and 2:00AM on the weekends this is the perfect place to enjoy the late evening hours.

Located only 3 miles from 91 North or 91 South it is easy to get to and is the perfect central location to visit the states of New Hampshire, Massachusettes, and New York.
