Visit General George Custer's home at Fort Abraham Lincoln. Other historic places include Lewis & Clark Interpretive Center, re-created Fort Mandan, and Knife River Indian Villages. Also enjoy abundant bike trails and golf courses throughout the city. Savor modern conveniences at this big-rig friendly KOA with plenty of shade and easy access to I-94. Enjoy basketball and tennis courts, two playgrounds, a heated pool, ladder golf, beanbag toss and banana bikes for rent. Exercise your pet at Kamp K9. Limited facilities during the off-season. Although we welcome Toy Haulers or units towing, the use of ATVs, UTVs, golf carts, dirt bikes, etc. are prohibited on grounds.

Note: During off season months, (approximately 10/15 to 04/16), we cannot leave our water on to sites. But rather, fill your fresh water tank directly on your RV.

State Capitol Building

Often referred to as "The Skyscraper on the Prairie." State Capitol Tours are conducted on the hour from 8 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 4 p.m. all year. From Memorial Day to Labor Day tours are available on Saturdays 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sundays 1 to 4 p.m.

Dakota Zoo

On June 3, 1961, the Dakota Zoo opened its gates to the public with 75 mammals and 23 birds on some 15 acres of developed land. Forty thousand visitors paid a ten cent admission fee that first year to visit the zoo.
