Very nice campground! Noticed Many people and their children sure enjoying the swimming pool as it was very hot. The golf course looked beautiful! Next door is the Benbow Inn if you would like a nice breakfast or dinner!

Staff helpful and friendly. But campgrounds not well kept. Many areas were in need of repair. The garbage dumpster over flowed at times with no room for additional garbage. Poison oak grew near activity areas, raising health concerns. It was nice to have a 9-hole golf course, but the fairways and greens were in dissaray with divots in the greens made it hard to accurately putt.

The young man at the Benbow KOA office is a valuable asset. We’ve checked in twice the past few weeks and he is always very friendly welcoming each guest and ready to accommodate guests in any way he can so we have a great stay. We hope the KOA Corporation recognizes this young man as a valued employee. He was present July 17 and again when checking in on August 2, 2023. Bob & Janet Davis

Our neighbors parked their truck in the street and we had to ask them to move before we could pull out. This should’ve been done by park management. They let their dog poop in our area and my husband step in it as we were preparing to leave.They had planned to start a fire just feet from our rig so we had to ask them not light the fire.They moved to a friends site. The staff is top notch! They were so friendly and helpful. You could tell they liked working there. We liked the atmosphere. Would recommend the dog park be expanded just a bit if possible- it’s small for playing ball with larger dogs. Love the later check out and the later hours that are staffed compared to most KOAs :) Thank you!

Everything was great except the width of the roads between rows. Hard for a class A to get by because all the campers with pick ups see to park half way into the street.

Check in was great, friendly. The resort itself continues to deteriorate Lawns around sites vitually dead. Infrastructure also very old. Sewer vents at each site, really? A few years ago all sites green and we'll maintained. Not any more. We used to consider it as a destination. Now only for a quick stopover. Sad to see.

My wife and I with two Grandsons stayed for four nights… the park was well maintained by a KOA worker Silas…took great pride in his work… the staff was friendly and helpful. The park was quite at night. And the manager was extremely helpful getting me hooked up for cable… The pool was awesome. The store had items I needed and just minutes from a large store in Garberville.

Nice location for seeing the redwoods. Needs a bit of maintenance such as new paint on casitas and repaving the streets. Used the laundry and bought ice and ice cream at the store.

Very nice campground. The staff was very helpful when we needed to locate particular supplies. At night the staff helped with lighting fires to keep warm.

The Benbow KOA has easy access from US101 and egress back to the 101. The Benbow KOA has plenty of activities available to RV campers …….. a 9 hole golf course, swimming pool, splash pad, horse shoe pit, shuffle board, plus an activity room for special get-togethers. There are KOA cabins, a big laundry and campground store in the office. We highly recommend the Benbow KOA to travelers.

The pool, hot tub and splash pad combo really helps us make this a fun camp. Rarely,have I seen kids openly cheering because they are having so much fun on a train ride around the camp. The location was very convenient if you are exploring the Avenue of the Giants.

We had site D-60. It is an end spot with a great shade tree, and a table and chairs on the lawn. The rivers trees grow beautiful and tall, just across the street. Because it is an end spot, there is no other RV in view. The park was 98% full. It felt like a resort. There were lots of what looked like family reunions. Everybody was having fun, and were friendly. The quiet hours were fully respected

We stayed at the Benbow KOA for spring break 2024. The staff is super helpful and friendly. Check-in was a breeze. Since it was Easter weekend, the campground staff hosted an egg hunt for the kids with an appearance from the Easter Bunny. It was pretty awesome! We stayed in a FHU “comfort” patio site 52, with relatives staying in Tent Site T1, right across the road from our site. The RV site required minimal leveling and all hookups were well maintained. The site included patio furniture and a fire pit. The patio was nice since the grass was muddy from all the winter rain. The showers and bathrooms appeared clean and maintained. The hot tub was open, but it was too early in the season for the pool and splash pad. The laundry room was large and had newer machines. The gift shop had all the essentials for RVers and guests. There is also 2 arcade games, a Star Wars pinball machine and pool table in the lounge area of the front office. They have a small library of books and board games, dice and dominoes to use. The dog park area is on the smaller side, but there are some great pet walk areas around the resort. There is also a small 9 hole golf course next to the KOA. The WiFi was good and able to stream. The cable was not so good due to limited channels and fuzz (could have been my fault). The historic Benbow Inn across the way was a nice surprise with good food options, a full bar and traditional afternoon tea. It's a short walk on a nice path or you can drive there. We were within a few freeway exits of the Avenue of the Giants and a lot of other famous trees and redwood groves in the area. One exit away, in Garberville, there is a supermarket called Ray's Food Place and an awesome Mexican restaurant called El Cora Restaurant. There are fuel options in Garberville as well. I would definitely recommend Benbow KOA to others.

We arrived just before 8:00 p.m. with no reservations and we're greeted by Chloe and Juan who attended to our every need. Thank you for hiring the best. They are definitely an asset to your company. We so enjoyed our time there even though it was real short. Thank you again for your hospitality. You were amazing! Thank you again for such a wonderful experience. We would highly recommend your campground to anyone traveling
