The heater in cabin (trailer) 401 was so deafening that we were unable to sleep.

Thank you for visiting! Our Cabins use Propane Furnace Heaters, and the sound of the air blowers can be a bit loud, but it gets them nice and toasty in the winter! Hope you can visit again.

The office and the little store are very nice along with the staff.Cabin #38, horrible.Way overpriced for a dump! Smelled like a dog house, bugs were crawling out of the toilet and ants all over the room. Furniture and cabinets were old and beat up. Silverware was not matching and thrown in a drawer. Same with utensils. Bathroom shower disgusting. Spots all over carpet. I was given another cabin.

Cabin had no heat, sheets didn't fit the bed and the mattress was so old and stained with filth that we left and had to stay somewhere else.

We reserved a cabin and requested early check in since it was a holiday weekend so we could avoid traffic. Was declined. Then got another call from them requesting us to check in early so they could close the office early. After checking in we went back to the office to request more blankets as a part of the linens that were provided. They were closed at 530 when posted hours were closing at 8.

The “deluxe cabin” was very small. The bed was VERY uncomfortable. It was a box spring mattress on a wood frame. It was also small for two tall people. There was no hook for a jacket and no table to put things on. The card keys stopped working the night before we left. The WiFi was poor. When we brought our concerns to the staff they didn’t seem to care.

The cabin itself was nice but for how much money it costs the bed should have been better. It’s literally the price of a hotel room. There is nowhere to sit down and I had the worst nights sleep I’ve had in a long time because the bed was so awful. I was just sleeping on the ground with a foam pad and the foam pad was memory foam 2-3 inches and that was more comfortable. Lots of cobwebs.

We had a great stay. the staff were great as well as the pool and arcade. The cabin however had an uncomfortable small queen bed and the AC was very loud so we had to shut it off at night to sleep so it did get warm in the cabin.

It was very fun. The staff was very nice and personable. We loved the activities they offer. I stayed in the cabin and I think it could use a little improvement. The mattress was super loud and I thought I would wake someone up just shifting in my sleep & it could use a better mop job in there. Also the splash pad needs to remodeled. Only 3 spouts worked. The single cabin was small but clean and comfortable enough. The air conditioning was adequate and quickly responsive. All the children in our group had a great time. It was a bit expensive but the location desired.

I rented 2 cabins for 2 nights. . The cabins are very nice. No drawer space for clothes though. Cabin 37 has very good air conditioning with units in both bedrooms also. Cabin 38 only had one wall unit. Cabin 38 has nice back porch and full kitchen. If it's a hot day don't use the oven!! My boys love the golf course and the kids loved the club house activities and the river beach.

The cabin was neat, clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly. The only fall was the hot tube was out of order. Otherwise, it was great. Highly recommend Benbow KOA!

Stayed in one of the cabins. Nicely decorated but, the one we were in, #44, was very small and mattress was too soft. Swimming pool was great in that the weather was high 90s. Hot tub and children’s water park needs to be repaired and in working order. Neither was functioning. We have family that lives very close so, I’m sure we’ll stay there again.

We stayed in one of the modular trailers with other compartments next to us. We stayed in A hoping to not be next to another guest in the next room, having to listen to all their noises. The guests next to us were placed in B and their was no one in C. And the air conditioning unit was directly over the bed, adding more noise to what could of been a peaceful night of sleep. Room was clean :-)

Our family didn’t get a chance to use any of the accommodations due to an unexpected late arrival. We rented a sleeper cabin, my kids thought it was awesome, until we discover a very large spider in my bed. YES, it was alive and looked like a brown recluse! In addition the river had toxic blue-green algae, my boys were terrified our dog would drink from the river and die. ASAP a.m. departure.

Kamping Kabins were perfect for me and my 2 kids- clean, all the amenities we could want, lovely back and front porches- which we loved, even with fans! Staff is friendly and helpful, and we had a blast playing soccer golf. Great time, we will be back!

We came for a large family reunion, due to diesel prices had to change from an rv site to a cabin(ended up in a micro mini cabin). I don’t feel the price they(KOA) charges is worth the space. We paid $100+ due to veterans and group discounts. Our cabin needs to have the ceiling cleaned. I’m not sure much of any of this can be blamed on being short staffed or covid.

My stay started off rough when two different sleeper cabins they assigned to me weren't cleaned. The staff corrected that asap. The bed was a little hard, a topper or better mattress would have been great. I had issue with wifi working properly ( I have to use for work) It was quite, senic & the store had everything you could need for a stay, except for ice. Staff was great, very friendly!

The campgrounds themselves were actually pretty nice. I stayed in a premium cabin. Full bath with shower, A/C, nice patio on the back viewing the creek, plenty of room for family of four and dog. I was told as a guest golf was free to walk and $10 for a cart. They actually charged $15 for the cart and $20 for 9 holes. You can't putt on the "greens" and only holes 1&9 were well maintained.

Ratings would have been much higher until the last morning when both of our kids got extremely sick. Then the cabin next to us (that we didn’t know at all) had the same thing. Plus another family we meet on our last full day their daughter got sick. And 2 of our friends that we meet up there intentionally got sick. All in the night. All vomiting. Location and cabin were awesome.

Great amenities. Beautiful location next to a creek. It was stocked and cleaned. Disappointed that the bedroom screen door was ripped and hard to open. Couldn’t leave it open for fresh air because bugs could get in. One of the windows in the loft had no screen, so it made difficult to cool the upstairs room. Otherwise great stay.

Cabin floor was very dirty and several very greasy dirty utensils in the drawer. But we had a wonderful time with our grandkids, pool was fabulous!

We stayed in the cabins which were nice for the most part. I suggest more toilet paper in the bathroom. When we arrived there was one already used on the roll,and just one extra. Also, even though the amenities are nice, the price should come down. $260 a night for a cabin is outrageous. Fresh linens would have been nice at least every other day, we had the same towels for 6 days.

Benefits of traveling in the off-season, they gave us an upgrade to be closer to the bathrooms. Our original site was in the way back and those bathrooms are closed out there. It seems like they have some fun things to do here but we're only here for hot showers and full hook-ups. We chose this place because it was in our price budget. We felt like the other rv parks that had "Redwood" in their name they could charge extra.
