Overall they stay was good. With the exception of the one bathroom had no hot water. We were there three days and it should have been fixed within that time.

The park at best average. We didn't have any problems but we didn't feel it was of value. We understand it is off season but we did pay season rates. Upper bathhouse no hot water. The store, louge and bathhouse only open 1pm to 4 pm. The highlight of the stay was check in the young lady was grest.

Our stay was very enjoyable and they helped us locate a replacement gas cap that we had lost along the way. Thank you

We stayed 1 night while traveling through on our way home. Park was clean, sites were level and well cared for. Can't say a lot about park facilities as its off season and staffing was limited.

We stayed two nights in March at a back in site

It was pretty hot for us, being only March. So spent a lot of time in the trailer with thw A/C. It was quiet and relaxing. Grounds were well taken care of.

Beautiful area, beautifully maintained campgrounds. We stayed in mid March which is off season but it would have been nice to have the store open longer hours (it was only open from 1-4) and better stocked with things like firewood, charcoal and snacks. Only one of the campground bathrooms had hot water, which didn't last long and made showering a challenge. Great trip overall though!

It was our first camping trip with our pop up camper and most of our usual camping spots were still closed for the season. The river spot was beautiful and the kids loved the playground and sport court. It was a bummer that the hot water in the only shower area wasn’t working, and my son wished the game room was open more than the 3 hrs that the store was open but otherwise we had a good time.

We have stayed here several times and each time we have enjoyed our selfs.

confusing after hours check in procedure. I had to make several calls to make sure someone knew I was there and would take my money. The procedure does not match the instructions. No amounts, no envelopes. First time checking in without someone there. Really like the camp.

Sites are too small for large rvs. Our was supposed to be 50 feet, but couldn’t accommodate our truck and trailer.

No hot water in the restroom closest to our site was inconvenient.

Couldn’t use the main bathroom because they were only open from 1 to 4 pm.

The campground was fine. Cancellation policy stinks. Due to changes in dangerous weather, I tried to cancel less than 12 hours after making a reservation. I was told the policy required cancellation a WEEK in advance to obtain a refund. No exceptions.

Park is rundown. Half of all washers and dryers are out of order. Office hours 1-4. At the mercy of when they open office to use the spa. Spa is also being used by guests of the hotel within walking distance. Spa is frequently filled with children using it as their own personal swimming pool. So far on my three month trip this is the worst of the worst.

The office was closed at 4PM, seemed early. The CODE to access the bathroom was no where to be found. At one point is was simply open to all , the next time it was locked so I could not use it. SAD !

It’s a lovely little park with nice, accommodating staff. My rig is small so I normally have to take back in spots. Your short corner pull through was a treat as was the covered picnic table area of the dog park. Thank you for these little perks, they make all the difference.

We loved out stay. Already told friends about it. Was a little muddy but expected for the time of year. I do have one suggestion, maybe during the fall when the leaves are on the ground, have a landscape crew come in and remove all of the dead leaves before they get wet and mushy. It would look a lot cleaner than what it did. Other than that, we will probably be back soon. Thank you.

Very clean comfortable and quiet.

Great, lighted dog run area! Sites are level and dry. Shower water is hot and plentiful. Shower heads could use some updating. Train whistles are a good wake up call. Not too loud, but start at 0630.

Staff was friendly in the office. Very disappointed that the office store did not carry ice. Also, we called ahead and nobody answered the phone or returned our call. All the bathrooms and laundry room were left unlocked. Seems like a security issue. Also, the garbage cans were too difficult to open. What’s up with an additional $5.00 fire fee? We won’t be back.

Quiet. Clean facilities.

Staff were prompt and friendly. Campground was clean and we had the best neighbors! The under freeway walk to the Inn was super great. All in all great time, thank you!

So cute. The office staff was excellent. The bathrooms were in good shape. I gave it 4 stars because it states level sites but the payment was in pretty bad shape throughout the entire park, a long term camper had their vehicle parked in our camp spot so we had to take another site, and the 101 road noise was pretty loud. Overall, a great stay, recommended.

Lovely place. Everyone was so friendly. The dogs we so happy with all the places to hike and play fetch. We had smores at the camp fire (hadn't done that since we were kids!) Bathrooms and showers were roomy and clean. Great little trip. Thank you!

We stayed in a tent attached to our pick up truck in the rain and winds!! We did spend several hours in the KOA main lodge. The staff were just delightful! Special shout out to Catherine and Levi and a few others whose names I never got!!

Despite the rainy and foggy weather, we enjoyed our stay. Because the park is older, the pull-thru spaces were a little narrow for maneuvering an rv with slide-outs and not hit the utility posts. The staff were very helpful and great to interact with. Chloe has a great personality for working with the public and was very helpful. We are looking for to our next visit with good weather.

Super friendly and efficient. All the amenities. Great showers - lots of hot water - stalls could be a bit cleaner. Over all enjoyed our stay!

Easy in, easy out. Nice people. Clean facility

It was the off season transitioning from November to December so we were lucky they had plenty of room. It seems like this is one of the better parks in the area with access to the Redwood beauty and the historic Benbow inn. Clean office, friendly staff, and nice grounds. The pull thru sites are all 55 ft so a little tight for our 40 ft Motorhome with pull behind trailer. But we made it work.

We stayed the week of Thanksgiving. The campground is well maintained in spite of the cooler wet weather. The staff was friendly and the proximity to the Benbow Inn was a huge draw for me because having TEA at the old inn was on my BUCKET LIST. The Benbow KOA made it possible and tea at the INN was complimentary as a guest at this KOA.

Your staff is very helpful and nice, truly fantastic service! Recommend repaving or patching the asphalt in spot 52, and several other RV spots. We arrived at night and all we could see was mud on every spot that we drove past. Makes it difficult to set up camp, especially when you’re expecting a paved, clean camp site.

We really wanted to like our stay at KOA Benbow, especially with such friendly staff who were genuinely helpful, but the experience was a letdown. The biggest issue was the pervasive mud. It had clearly been wet, but the lack of ground cover meant we had to trudge through mud just to get to our RV site. Do not recommend!

Good quiet place

Great place to stay but it was frustrating that we needed propane before heading out the next day and the office was locked at 10 am, even though we could see someone moving around. We loved the river access and the cabins on the river would be a great getaway.

Our stay was fine. I feel this location is overpriced for what it offers. The camp sites are nothing spectacular and the property itself just doesn't warrant the price they charge.

No cable. No drainage from rain events

Good for an overnight stay. Best thing was the Benbow Inn is within walking distance.

We stayed at the Benbow KOA for spring break 2024. The staff is super helpful and friendly. Check-in was a breeze. Since it was Easter weekend, the campground staff hosted an egg hunt for the kids with an appearance from the Easter Bunny. It was pretty awesome! We stayed in a FHU “comfort” patio site 52, with relatives staying in Tent Site T1, right across the road from our site. The RV site required minimal leveling and all hookups were well maintained. The site included patio furniture and a fire pit. The patio was nice since the grass was muddy from all the winter rain. The showers and bathrooms appeared clean and maintained. The hot tub was open, but it was too early in the season for the pool and splash pad. The laundry room was large and had newer machines. The gift shop had all the essentials for RVers and guests. There is also 2 arcade games, a Star Wars pinball machine and pool table in the lounge area of the front office. They have a small library of books and board games, dice and dominoes to use. The dog park area is on the smaller side, but there are some great pet walk areas around the resort. There is also a small 9 hole golf course next to the KOA. The WiFi was good and able to stream. The cable was not so good due to limited channels and fuzz (could have been my fault). The historic Benbow Inn across the way was a nice surprise with good food options, a full bar and traditional afternoon tea. It's a short walk on a nice path or you can drive there. We were within a few freeway exits of the Avenue of the Giants and a lot of other famous trees and redwood groves in the area. One exit away, in Garberville, there is a supermarket called Ray's Food Place and an awesome Mexican restaurant called El Cora Restaurant. There are fuel options in Garberville as well. I would definitely recommend Benbow KOA to others.

We arrived just before 8:00 p.m. with no reservations and we're greeted by Chloe and Juan who attended to our every need. Thank you for hiring the best. They are definitely an asset to your company. We so enjoyed our time there even though it was real short. Thank you again for your hospitality. You were amazing! Thank you again for such a wonderful experience. We would highly recommend your campground to anyone traveling

Best KOA cabins we have stayed in. Many models to choose from in the midst of Redwood country. We have stayed there many times, and they are always outstanding. They are very clean and spotless - you can walk around in your socks and they won't get dirty. Spacious and well stocked, towels, dishes, everything. Sheets are crisp. Staff is wonderful and helpful. You can dine at the adjacent historic Benbow Inn. Just wonderful.
