Nice area off the road, with a small golf course connecting to it. Showers were in need of some repairs, but were adequate and plenty of hot water. Used the laundry and was clean. Both were secure, as had to have code to enter.

There seemed to be a trash problem. During our brief visit, the big trash bin was never dumped. Some trash was removed so the lids would close. On our first evening, we all gathered at the wagon master's site and every once in a while when the wind would blow, you could smell the trash. The group voted to return next year....it's a beautiful and everyone is very friendly and helpful.

Yes, unfortunately the company who picks up our trash missed it the last 2-3 times they were supposed to be here. We understand the discomfort caused by the bins and have been in contact with the company to have this resolved.

Two of the three dog stations were out of poop bags, the garbage dumpsters were overflowing and it would be nice to have the Jacuzzi hours posted, being closed by 8:10 pm seems awful early.

We were welcomed on arrival with a Bottle of wine for our 42 Anniversary , which was very nice and unexpected . We love the campground, only would have liked to Pool to stay open later than 6 pm .

The power pedestal at site #92 needs some work. Both the switches and receptacles had a lot of movement. Of the two water outlets only had a handle.

The KOA staff was very friendly and helpful. The bathrooms and showers were clean and the large grass areas recently mowed. Because of the recent rain some of the areas were a bit muddy- to be expected. Benbow KOA is an "easy-on", "easy-off" access to the highway for RV arrival and when taking day trips to nearby attractions, state parks and Redwood groves. We will definitely come visit again.

The staff is fantastic. The only complaint is they do not mow the grass around the campsites.

This KOA could be nice if they would spend a little time on maintenance of the grounds. Their golf course was kept very nice and mowed but all of the rv sites hadn’t been moved in at least a month. The sites were smallish and the neighbors kids had put up a tent right next to our driveway. Luckily when we left we pulled straight through an empty site in front of us. Drunks everywhere too.

Campground was not ready for campers no attendant escort to site as w/ other KOAs we’ve stayed. Very little room for truck parking making getting into the sites difficult. Most sites had wheel marks through the weeds. The weeds btw had not been mowed no amenities were open. Outside attractions are about an hour away by car. The posted check in is 4:00. We were allowed to come in earlier than tha

We're a year round campground ready for campers anytime, but it is true that a lot of our extra amenities are not open during the winter season due to less travelers on the road. Our check in time for cabins is 4pm, but 1pm for RV sites. We highly recommend checking out our website to stay informed!

The Benbow KOA has easy access to US 101 and has all the RV camping amenities that families enjoy ………. swimming pool, splash pad, golf course, full hook-up 50/30 amp pull thru sites, dog park,playground, etc. The Benbow KOA is within easy walking distance of the Benbow Lodge and Dining Room and is within easy driving distance to the California redwoods, the” Avenue of Giants”, and

We have stayed here several times and have enjoyed the park enough to want to stay again. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The store is fun to shop in. The park is well maintained. It is close to many fun places to visit too.

We stayed 3 nights, of which 1 was a free night. We stayed in an end site called Luxury Site. We like this site since at least one side is open and not blocked by another RV, as sometimes happens and then you are sandwiched in between 2 rigs. Even though the KOA was not full by any means, many open sites, they still placed another rig next to us on the open side, when many places were available.

FHU Comfort Patio site 52 was nice. The staff in the office were very helpful and friendly. The showers and toilets were clean. The WiFi was very good. The hot tub, arcade games, pool table and lounge area near the office were great. Perfect location for Avenue of the Giants and other famous redwood locations. I would highly recommend.

We were assigned to a space that was so muddy we had to find a board to step on in order to get into our travel trailer, even though there were many empty spaces that were empty ( and stayed empty the entire time we were there). On the plus side, the manager did comp us a night. The restrooms/ showered were older, but clean and great water pressure in the shower.

We stayed at the Benbow KOA for spring break 2024. The staff is super helpful and friendly. Check-in was a breeze. Since it was Easter weekend, the campground staff hosted an egg hunt for the kids with an appearance from the Easter Bunny. It was pretty awesome! We stayed in a FHU “comfort” patio site 52, with relatives staying in Tent Site T1, right across the road from our site. The RV site required minimal leveling and all hookups were well maintained. The site included patio furniture and a fire pit. The patio was nice since the grass was muddy from all the winter rain. The showers and bathrooms appeared clean and maintained. The hot tub was open, but it was too early in the season for the pool and splash pad. The laundry room was large and had newer machines. The gift shop had all the essentials for RVers and guests. There is also 2 arcade games, a Star Wars pinball machine and pool table in the lounge area of the front office. They have a small library of books and board games, dice and dominoes to use. The dog park area is on the smaller side, but there are some great pet walk areas around the resort. There is also a small 9 hole golf course next to the KOA. The WiFi was good and able to stream. The cable was not so good due to limited channels and fuzz (could have been my fault). The historic Benbow Inn across the way was a nice surprise with good food options, a full bar and traditional afternoon tea. It's a short walk on a nice path or you can drive there. We were within a few freeway exits of the Avenue of the Giants and a lot of other famous trees and redwood groves in the area. One exit away, in Garberville, there is a supermarket called Ray's Food Place and an awesome Mexican restaurant called El Cora Restaurant. There are fuel options in Garberville as well. I would definitely recommend Benbow KOA to others.

We arrived just before 8:00 p.m. with no reservations and we're greeted by Chloe and Juan who attended to our every need. Thank you for hiring the best. They are definitely an asset to your company. We so enjoyed our time there even though it was real short. Thank you again for your hospitality. You were amazing! Thank you again for such a wonderful experience. We would highly recommend your campground to anyone traveling

Best KOA cabins we have stayed in. Many models to choose from in the midst of Redwood country. We have stayed there many times, and they are always outstanding. They are very clean and spotless - you can walk around in your socks and they won't get dirty. Spacious and well stocked, towels, dishes, everything. Sheets are crisp. Staff is wonderful and helpful. You can dine at the adjacent historic Benbow Inn. Just wonderful.
