Very pleasant staff as always. Store was very bare and hoping this is temporary. Please replace the couch in the store in front of the TV. Super old and very gross looking. I will not sit in it, that’s how gross it looks. Otherwise had a nice time.

The employees are great. Nice location has lots to offer. My last stay was not good not do to KOA but to another camper who decided that it was ok to berate me because my dog barked for 10-15 minutes. Total jerk who thinks he can get his way through intimidating others. My suggestion is that if you have an issue with another camper that you inform management. It is not anyone's right to confront.

The grounds were very nice and we especially appreciated the lighting along the path back from the Inn. It was disappointing that you didn't have a driving range (and maybe not a putting location) and no golf balls? Hope you get the hot water situation fixed in the far restroom building. I would have liked to have taken a shower. We'll come again, but maybe ask more questions in advance next tim

No washer or dryer’s they were broken. Showers are very old and dirty. No cable spaces are very close together. This could be a very nice place to stay needs work.

Nice park. Aisles are a bit narrow. We had a great site with deck. Very private. Park is outside Grants Pass but conveniently located.

We loved it! Only thing we would change, is: pool and hot tub and office need to be open until 10. After a lovely day at the river, then dinner with friends at a different campground, we wanted to enjoy those facilities. We were really disappointed to see how early it closed. Also, the hours weren’t posted anywhere, brochures or outside.

Catherine and Chole are great at the desk. Kinda of surprised at the uptick of beer prices. Wicked aunt Tammys has been like $3.49 for last 2 years. Now $7 a can. We always stop at KOA going to Trinidad. Murphys Grocery store in Trinidad last 2 years $3.50. This trip only $3.99. I understand prices go up. But $7 for a can. Good luck. Hi to the girls. I have used a KOA cabin as my lodging when visiting family in Benbow for approximately 10 years. Upon arrival approximately 1 hour before the "official" check in time, I was refused early check-in. After returning to check-in, I discovered that TV service had been removed without prior disclosure. Very disappointing stay. Most likely will never go back & will not recommend to anyone!

There are no tv’s anymore, the back sliding door doesn’t lock, there’s just a stick that allows the door to slide enough to be lifted off the track. There were hairs in the bed, the counters and fridge were dirty and no toilet paper in the bathroom. We’ve stayed here many times before and it was good, this was a let down for sure. The new manager Ruben was polite and receptive to the issue

The staff here are very polite and friendly. The campground is in need of repair though. The space we stayed in (E65) the 30 amp was not working. The circuit breaker was even loose. Luckily I had a "dog bone" to reduce the 50 amp to 30 amp. Someone who is a newbie, or in a rental RV might not have that and could be without 110 volt power. I did see lots of maintenance activity going on.

I’m sure when everything is normal, this place is lovely. However, for our overnight stay, I was very disappointed. I wasn’t able to use the only shower near us because their hot water was broken. No heads up, no discount for unavailable services. With a heads up, we could have used the main building before driving to the back of the campground and setting up. Very disappointing.

Facility is very dated, very tight fitting spaces, no tv cable as advertised, no green grass, bathrooms had no hot water, the employees travel in loud gas powered golf carts, very young staff that appear inexperienced.

The campground is very dry and the grass areas are not mowed or kept up. The main bathrooms had no hot water for showers and the staff did not give clear instructions on how to access other showers after 8pm when the office area closed. It’s very run down.

This KOA is clean and well cared for. The sites are easy to get in and out of and the park in general is nicely equipped. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The pool and splash pad are really wonderful family activities and they have crafts for kids and other things for the kids to do. The pool closes early, 8 PM due to staffing.

Sunshine, good times and fun on the golf course are always had here. The staff treats you very well. I will definitely be going back soon!

The Benbow KOA is in a magnificent location and the staff is friendly and very attentive. The golf course and pool were excellent amenities for a KOA campground. The campgrounds themselves can us some maintenance and upkeep and the deluxe cabin was a little run down. My family and I stayed in cabin at the Waldport KOA the night before and the cabin was impeccable, the Benbow cabin was not.

This kampground has gone steadily downhill for the last 20 years. Lawns are dead, trees are dying, facilities reflect significant deferred maintenance, and although they sell full hook up as having cable, the facility has not had cable for 9 months. Only redeeming factors were some of the employees. VERY DISAPPOINTING

Nice park in an excellent location near the Benbow Lodge, with a clear creek running by the campground. Negatives: Incessant, non-stop dog barking at night from what appears to be a long term camper / employee's dog at the north end of the campground. Not worth the stay in this delightful area because the dog's barking kept me awake all night.

Way too many kids (teens) running around on golf carts, going way too fast though the campgrounds with kids riding bikes. Teenagers riding carts on the greens with kids hanging off the back of carts. No supervision on what was going on. You were not ready for the long weekend or the amount of campers. Running out of ice, trash cans over filled and the pool was missing the heating element.

The area is beautiful and full of birds and trees. Our young daughter had a great time. However, the constant traffic of speeding golf carts made it not very relaxing. The cabin was well-appointed and clean. But there were ants in the sink. The toilet was sluggish and bubbled when the tub was drained. And the swimming pool was a huge disappointment, as it was not heated.

Very fun place to stay! Pool, hot tub, golf! If that’s not enough, check out the Benbow Inn next door. Staff is always friendly and the manager, Chloe, is always accommodating. Sites are spacious and well maintained.

Kids on golf carts and motorcycles flying around with at least 8 kids piled on. Very noisy. Actual golfers were not able to rent carts. Very disappointing usually campground is nice to stay at.

One bathroom stall out of around 6 had toilet paper. Only a few of the stall doors latched, only 2 out of 4 of the sinks turned on. The office did lend us a tire pump, which was very helpful, but they were out of ice for our ice chest. It was memorial weekend and no events or entertainment were offered. The garbage area was full, so we had to take our garbage home with us.

Check in / out easy and efficient. Nice little store and propane on site. Sites are small and cramped. Very little room between sites. Good location and lots of activities for children. But if you want peace & quiet this is not the place.

It was our first time staying at a KOA. We didn’t know what to expect. Customer service was excellent and the amenities were great! However, the set up was very similar to what you’d expect at a trailer park. It was a hectic start to a long Memorial Day weekend so you’d expect the KOA to be impacted. Been going for years. No cable--has been that way for monthsnow apparently, BUT the person who made our reservation SHOULD HAVE TOLD US IN ADVANCE that cable was not available, and told us when we checked in.. Not happy about that!

Good place to stop and stay in the middle of a long drive. We were in the back section where it's quieter. Bathrooms were clean and shower was good. There are a lot more tiny house cabins then we remembered, lots, so a lot of their business seems to be in monthly rentals to locals but it was still quiet.

We stayed at the Benbow KOA for spring break 2024. The staff is super helpful and friendly. Check-in was a breeze. Since it was Easter weekend, the campground staff hosted an egg hunt for the kids with an appearance from the Easter Bunny. It was pretty awesome! We stayed in a FHU “comfort” patio site 52, with relatives staying in Tent Site T1, right across the road from our site. The RV site required minimal leveling and all hookups were well maintained. The site included patio furniture and a fire pit. The patio was nice since the grass was muddy from all the winter rain. The showers and bathrooms appeared clean and maintained. The hot tub was open, but it was too early in the season for the pool and splash pad. The laundry room was large and had newer machines. The gift shop had all the essentials for RVers and guests. There is also 2 arcade games, a Star Wars pinball machine and pool table in the lounge area of the front office. They have a small library of books and board games, dice and dominoes to use. The dog park area is on the smaller side, but there are some great pet walk areas around the resort. There is also a small 9 hole golf course next to the KOA. The WiFi was good and able to stream. The cable was not so good due to limited channels and fuzz (could have been my fault). The historic Benbow Inn across the way was a nice surprise with good food options, a full bar and traditional afternoon tea. It's a short walk on a nice path or you can drive there. We were within a few freeway exits of the Avenue of the Giants and a lot of other famous trees and redwood groves in the area. One exit away, in Garberville, there is a supermarket called Ray's Food Place and an awesome Mexican restaurant called El Cora Restaurant. There are fuel options in Garberville as well. I would definitely recommend Benbow KOA to others.

We arrived just before 8:00 p.m. with no reservations and we're greeted by Chloe and Juan who attended to our every need. Thank you for hiring the best. They are definitely an asset to your company. We so enjoyed our time there even though it was real short. Thank you again for your hospitality. You were amazing! Thank you again for such a wonderful experience. Best KOA cabins we have stayed in. Many models to choose from in the midst of Redwood country. We have stayed there many times, and they are always outstanding. They are very clean and spotless - you can walk around in your socks and they won't get dirty. Spacious and well stocked, towels, dishes, everything. Sheets are crisp. Staff is wonderful and helpful. You can dine at the adjacent historic Benbow Inn. Just wonderful.
