Stayed at KOA because it advertised having wifi. The WiFi was non existent. Needed to get online work done and was unable to. Would look for a different park next time.

Tri-plex with full Bath and shower..didn't have a tub. We called a head to inquire about a fire pit or grill. We were told that there was a shared grill for the 3 units that were attached and there was NOTHING so we had Nothing to cook on. A false wall in our unit 40-B was falling down and there were Earwigs and ants everywhere. The door had a gap @ bottom that let in light & air. NOT Worth the $$

We had a great time. We had a premium rv site and cabin #48. Cabin #48 is in need of repairs. For what is charged per night, I think they could repair a few things. The micowave has been melted by something. The door didn't close and the display (on/off) didn't work at all. The counter had formica chunks missing. The cabin just looks very tired.

Clean, nice location, friendly staff, the downside is there are no firepits, only 1 community one with no firewood to use.

Women's restroom was gross. Staff said, Our maid did feel good, so I guess they didn't get cleaned". That's not a guest's problem

We enjoyed our stay here, restrooms were big and clean. The spaces were large. The staff was friendly and it was right off the road. Good for us to continue driving up to the redwoods and through avenue of the giants.

Very friendly staff and easy to get to. Definitely would recommend that people visit the Benbow Inn. We enjoyed the small town of Miranda and had a wonderful mean at the Avenue restaurant.

Enjoyed our stay. The pool and hot tub area were well maintained and the staff were polite and helpful.

Visiting grandchildren. Pool and hot tub were wonderful. Cabin was just fine but, for approximately $300/ night, its interior is beyond ready for an upgrade.

We spent 2 nights at Benbow KOA in June 2023. Check in was easy and routine. Office staff was very friendly. Site was clean and nice sized and utilities good. Great Pool and Hot Tub. Nice Laundry Room. Family Friendly Park.

Awesome - will be back! Beautiful. Cabin 37 location and layout was perfect for us (two adults each with a 5/6 year old). Kids loved the playground and the river. This cabin had a few things to pick on: Stove takes a long time to get hot, difficult to cook on. Kitchen faucet is wonky - hard to figure out hot water setting. Bathtub plug was missing. Bed could use an upgrade (saggy in middle).

I LOVE Benbow KOA. It's just getting to EXPENSIVE. Next time I come to visit my grandkids will look for more reasonable lodging

ALWAYS A PLEASURE TO STAY AT BENBOW KOA. VERY CLEAN AND THE HOSTS ARE OUTSTANDING. A GREAT PLACE TO STAY ON YOUR TRIP NORTH OR SOUTH ON HWY 101. THE KIDS HAVE PLENTY TO DO WITH POOL AND WATERPARK AND BARREL RIDES, ALSO ACTIVITIES FOR TEENS.

First time staying here! Very impressed! The whole facility was clean and well taken care of. The sites had plenty of room. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Loved the extra activities they had for the kids (arts and crafts, splash pad, train ride pulled by a golf cart). Planning our next stay already!

We stayed down by the cabin area, which didn’t seem as nice as the area up front. It’s a clean park, and being so close to a little river is nice. I didn’t go into the restrooms/showers, but my fiancé used the men’s and said they could use some updating. The restaurant is across the road and under and overpass, the online menu seem limited and pricey.

The staff was pleasant and helpful. I'd give a higher star rating if not for the cats who used the sand build up in the street gutter for a potty and then lawn by our site hook up area after the grounds man removed some sand and feces from the gutter. I hooked up my hose to wash them into the grass so as to minimize contamination of my shoes and thereby our trailer. Not a preferable situation.

Nice KOA set in the woods and near a branch of the Eel River. Passable golf course on site (we were there early in the season) - wish they had a driving range, as well. The only reason we would not return here again were the untrimmed trees that scraped the front and top of our motorhome as we made our way through the campground. We kind of expect that in National Forest cg's, but not KOA's.

This is a beautiful property and there are lovely camping cabins that are fully equipped and comfortable. The staff was responsive to my needs and went out of their way to find an item I had left behind and get it back to me.

We were tent campers with no idea where we were going to stay on our trip up north on the 101. There was a lot of ambiguity where one could pitch a tent. We rolled into the KOA in hopes they might have space. Not only did they have 2 spots right along a river... it had a little fire pit and table for cooking. We had bathrooms right next to us. The price was great too. We would start again!

We requested by email and phone a cabin near our rv site. There was no response. When I asked about when checking in, the person was very friendly but didn't suggest a site next to the cabin which was available. I realize this is not always possible. Freeway noise was bad. There seemed to very few staff and the place just seemed over priced for the overall service.

Loved it! Third time we have stayed and the grounds were beautiful. The staff were extremely helpful, especially Sharyn. The kids had a great time in the pool and creek.We look forward to our next stay.

We stayed at the Benbow KOA for spring break 2024. The staff is super helpful and friendly. Check-in was a breeze. Since it was Easter weekend, the campground staff hosted an egg hunt for the kids with an appearance from the Easter Bunny. It was pretty awesome! We stayed in a FHU “comfort” patio site 52, with relatives staying in Tent Site T1, right across the road from our site. The RV site required minimal leveling and all hookups were well maintained. The site included patio furniture and a fire pit. The patio was nice since the grass was muddy from all the winter rain. The showers and bathrooms appeared clean and maintained. The hot tub was open, but it was too early in the season for the pool and splash pad. The laundry room was large and had newer machines. The gift shop had all the essentials for RVers and guests. There is also 2 arcade games, a Star Wars pinball machine and pool table in the lounge area of the front office. They have a small library of books and board games, dice and dominoes to use. The dog park area is on the smaller side, but there are some great pet walk areas around the resort. There is also a small 9 hole golf course next to the KOA. The WiFi was good and able to stream. The cable was not so good due to limited channels and fuzz (could have been my fault). The historic Benbow Inn across the way was a nice surprise with good food options, a full bar and traditional afternoon tea. It's a short walk on a nice path or you can drive there. We were within a few freeway exits of the Avenue of the Giants and a lot of other famous trees and redwood groves in the area. One exit away, in Garberville, there is a supermarket called Ray's Food Place and an awesome Mexican restaurant called El Cora Restaurant. There are fuel options in Garberville as well. I would definitely recommend Benbow KOA to others.

We arrived just before 8:00 p.m. with no reservations and we're greeted by Chloe and Juan who attended to our every need. Thank you for hiring the best. They are definitely an asset to your company. We so enjoyed our time there even though it was real short. Thank you again for your hospitality. You were amazing! Thank you again for such a wonderful experience. We would highly recommend your campground to anyone traveling
