My only complaint is regarding the bed in our cabin. It was extremely uncomfortable and while we feel the cost we paid was reasonable the bed could have been a lot nicer. It felt like a bunch of springs and was thin enough that we both touched the base platform holding the mattress. I would roll over and my shoulder would hit the hard base. Woke up with achy backs. Firmer mattress would be better

No cable TV. Your new internet provider is terrible. With full Rv campsites phones could not connect to internet. Extremely poor signal strength! You need to increase signal strength so folks can stream on TV. Connect to tablets & phones! Thinking about not coming back! Pool skimmer flaps broken & lying on deck of pool 2 weeks during our 2 visits. Without flapper on skimmer pool debris on Water.

Grounds were terribly dried out. The golf course was a joke. The premium rv site advertised having a fire pit which it did but they did not sell firewood. Overpriced and run down. Will never stay there again.

We enjoyed our stay, but the grounds are not nearly as green as shown on the website. The splash pad only being available on weekends was also disappointing. The office/game room closes early as well. Long-term guests are a bit off putting from a safety standpoint.

Beautiful Park. Well maintained clean scenic and easy to get in and out of. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Levi and Chloe provided service above and beyond when they took me up to the Benbow hotel for dinner so I didn’t have to walk after two knee replacements. Great job folks.

The service was awesome. From our first phone call to our check in. We were disappointed by the state of the bathrooms. They seem to be run down. Also, multiple dogs were running around off leash. That made it difficult to walk our dogs safely. This particular KOA seemed more rundown than most.

Always welcomed and always accommodating! Chloe and the team are always willing to do what they can to make our stay special and memorable. The cabin is always cleaned and comfortable. The surrounding camp sites are always well maintained when not occupied and the scenery is serene and beautiful. Our favorite KOA. Thank You again Chloe and the Team at Benbow KOA for another lovely stay!

No cable hook ups, wi-fi was almost non-existent. They tell you because of location wi-fi might be spotty but when I turned off wi-fi and used mobile data it worked fine which tells me the park has insufficient boosters for the wi-fi. Pull through spaces were difficult to get into due to being so close together. Trash on the ground in the space upon arrival. Thank goodness it was only one night!

Bathrooms weren't cleaned regularly. The yellow jackets weren't being addressed. The cabin our kids were in did not have all the amenities promised, and neither of the AC units worked. The pool was dirty. The splashpad is only running on the weekends (during the summer!) due to "water district restrictions." Even the park workers didn't observe the speed limit. I could go on but am out of room!

You could water the lawns and golf course for only 5 minutes a day and the grass would turn GREEN and attract lots more visitors!

Friendly service but I wish the splash pad was on more frequently due to the heat…for the kids. The pool had a lot of bugs and there wasn’t any available chairs to sit in or shade for our family since it was a crowded weekend. Also with there were more chairs around the community fire pit. Really enjoyed our RV site 412 but the eye sore were the large maybe electrical boxes covered in webs

The cabin is in desperate need of a significant update. The front stairs and railing felt very unsafe like they were on the verge of collapsing. Inside, the entire cabin felt incredibly outdated; it could definitely benefit from a TV. However, the biggest issue was the sleeping arrangement: the sofa bed was equipped with a mattress so thin and flimsy it offered no support, causing backache.

No cable TV as advertised, No internet as advertised, Golf course grass totally dead, Lounge area and couch disgusting, TV in lounge area did not even get the All Star Game, Grass in sites dead. The one shineing star were the people who worked there, they were super nice!!!

Stayed here previously in RV site and recently a tent site. The 2 tent sites available are extremely close, their picnic tables less than a few feet apart with a small lattice frame in between. Would have preferred some privacy. The bathrooms were filthy, 3 of the sinks were not working, handicap hand-held shower mechanism leaked. Outside trash was almost overflowing. Staff was nice.

I was worried I’d be dispersed moto camping but they got me in there. The bathrooms were super clean. The staff was amazing and friendly. I couldn’t be happier. I had never stayed at a KOA before but it’s worth it.

We stayed in the 2 bedroom cabin . Place was clean but outdated cabin . Beds were uncomfortable and no ac for the whole house just only the living room area . The master bedroom mattress was uncomfortable and bedroom sliding door screen was ripped so we couldn’t leave door open without mosquito flying in .for the money I wish it was updated and more comfortable .

We were scheduled to stay 2 nights here and left first thing the next day after checking in. When we arrived, our spot had towels and cans on the site we had to clean up. The bathrooms were very dirty, no toilet paper. The garbage was overflowing in all the garbage areas. The guest were piling garbage on the ground. We had a garbage smell at our site. The whole site just look like gloom!

Despite being KOA members, reserving months in advance and arriving early, we were given the one pull through site that did not have any shade in 95+ weather. Very disappointing, If you stay there in hot weather, do not accept space 61.

We have been coming to the Benbow KOA multiple times a year for YEARS! This time we were so disappointed. The new owners have let the park go, the grounds are in need of major TLC. The camp store is bare. Overall very disappointing to see our beloved campground neglected. Will we be back… yes. Will we recommend it to friends and visit 3-4x a year… no. New owners…. Nice, it was very hot during our stay, they closed the pool & club house at 8:00, would have been nice if they could have kept it open a little later during summer hours. On their website said the golf course was closed but it wasn’t, would have been nice to no that sooner. All the employees were very friendly.

Nice location on the river and good sized sites. Only negatives were the very dry vegetation and the really elevated sewer connection. Made it difficult to connect because the tanks don't want to drain uphill. Took some human intervention to make it work.

Second time I've stayed with you. Only disappointment was train not running and no kids activities. My first stay was with my grandkids - this stay was with my great grandkids and wished the kids activities would have happened.

What was once a BEAUTIFUL, Green, well kept, Gorgeous camp site is now a Disgusting, Brown, Burnt grass, unkempt, deteriorating site. The people who work there were nice. BUT!! I paid $125.00 thinking that it was the place I loved staying at. Granted it has been 8 or 10 years, But how shocking it was to arrive and find this craphole!! KOA! Shame on You for putting your name on this Turd!

We stayed at the Benbow KOA for spring break 2024. The staff is super helpful and friendly. Check-in was a breeze. Since it was Easter weekend, the campground staff hosted an egg hunt for the kids with an appearance from the Easter Bunny. It was pretty awesome! We stayed in a FHU “comfort” patio site 52, with relatives staying in Tent Site T1, right across the road from our site. The RV site required minimal leveling and all hookups were well maintained. The site included patio furniture and a fire pit. The patio was nice since the grass was muddy from all the winter rain. The showers and bathrooms appeared clean and maintained. The hot tub was open, but it was too early in the season for the pool and splash pad. The laundry room was large and had newer machines. The gift shop had all the essentials for RVers and guests. There is also 2 arcade games, a Star Wars pinball machine and pool table in the lounge area of the front office. They have a small library of books and board games, dice and dominoes to use. The dog park area is on the smaller side, but there are some great pet walk areas around the resort. There is also a small 9 hole golf course next to the KOA. The WiFi was good and able to stream. The cable was not so good due to limited channels and fuzz (could have been my fault). The historic Benbow Inn across the way was a nice surprise with good food options, a full bar and traditional afternoon tea. It's a short walk on a nice path or you can drive there. We were within a few freeway exits of the Avenue of the Giants and a lot of other famous trees and redwood groves in the area. One exit away, in Garberville, there is a supermarket called Ray's Food Place and an awesome Mexican restaurant called El Cora Restaurant. There are fuel options in Garberville as well. I would definitely recommend Benbow KOA to others.

We arrived just before 8:00 p.m. with no reservations and we're greeted by Chloe and Juan who attended to our every need. Thank you for hiring the best. They are definitely an asset to your company. We so enjoyed our time there even though it was real short. Thank you again for your hospitality. You were amazing! Thank you again for such a wonderful experience. We would highly recommend your campground to anyone traveling

Best KOA cabins we have stayed in. Many models to choose from in the midst of Redwood country. We have stayed there many times, and they are always outstanding. They are very clean and spotless - you can walk around in your socks and they won't get dirty. Spacious and well stocked, towels, dishes, everything. Sheets are crisp. Staff is wonderful and helpful. You can dine at the adjacent historic Benbow Inn. Just wonderful.
