Quiet. Clean facilities.

Staff were prompt and friendly. Campground was clean and we had the best neighbors! The under freeway walk to the Inn was super great. All in all great time, thank you!

So cute. The office staff was excellent. The bathrooms were in good shape. I gave it 4 stars because it states level sites but the payment was in pretty bad shape throughout the entire park, a long term camper had their vehicle parked in our camp spot so we had to take another site, and the 101 road noise was pretty loud. Overall, a great stay, recommended.

We love coming here to visit family nearby. Catherine at check in was great, we love the charm of this place!

Lovely place. Everyone was so friendly. The dogs we so happy with all the places to hike and play fetch. We had smores at the camp fire (hadn't done that since we were kids!) Bathrooms and showers were roomy and clean. Great little trip. Thank you!

We stayed in a tent attached to our pick up truck in the rain and winds!! We did spend several hours in the KOA main lodge. The staff were just delightful! Special shout out to Catherine and Levi and a few others whose names I never got!!

Despite the rainy and foggy weather, we enjoyed our stay. Because the park is older, the pull-thru spaces were a little narrow for maneuvering an rv with slide-outs and not hit the utility posts. The staff were very helpful and great to interact with. Chloe has a great personality for working with the public and was very helpful. We are looking for to our next visit with good weather.

Super friendly and efficient. All the amenities. Great showers - lots of hot water - stalls could be a bit cleaner. Over all enjoyed our stay!

It was the off season transitioning from November to December so we were lucky they had plenty of room. It seems like this is one of the better parks in the area with access to the Redwood beauty and the historic Benbow inn. Clean office, friendly staff, and nice grounds. The pull thru sites are all 55 ft so a little tight for our 40 ft Motorhome with pull behind trailer. But we made it work.

We stayed the week of Thanksgiving. The campground is well maintained in spite of the cooler wet weather. The staff was friendly and the proximity to the Benbow Inn was a huge draw for me because having TEA at the old inn was on my BUCKET LIST. The Benbow KOA made it possible and tea at the INN was complimentary as a guest at this KOA.

Your staff is very helpful and nice, truly fantastic service! Recommend repaving or patching the asphalt in spot 52, and several other RV spots. We arrived at night and all we could see was mud on every spot that we drove past. Makes it difficult to set up camp, especially when you’re expecting a paved, clean camp site.

We really wanted to like our stay at KOA Benbow, especially with such friendly staff who were genuinely helpful, but the experience was a letdown. The biggest issue was the pervasive mud. It had clearly been wet, but the lack of ground cover meant we had to trudge through mud just to get to our RV site. Do not recommend!

Good quiet place

Our Glamping cabin was small, but it would have met our needs, except for the bed. It was the most uncomfortable bed I've have sleep on. We asked if we could change cabins, but were told nothing was available,, although a lot of the cabins were unoccupied during our two day stay. The campground didn't look very well maintained.

I appreciate that the campground was quiet however would be nice to have more lighting on property especially near parking lot. Cabin (40A) was clean but the mattress could use replacing. Also the heater/ac unit is really loud and would wake us up at night. It would be nice to have some sort of table or shelving unit to put out stuff on. But overall we had a good stay.

Great place to stay but it was frustrating that we needed propane before heading out the next day and the office was locked at 10 am, even though we could see someone moving around. We loved the river access and the cabins on the river would be a great getaway.

Our stay was fine. I feel this location is overpriced for what it offers. The camp sites are nothing spectacular and the property itself just doesn't warrant the price they charge.

No cable. No drainage from rain events

Good for an overnight stay. Best thing was the Benbow Inn is within walking distance.

We had a wonderful time. Beautiful park. We arrived around 1pm, and unfortunately found out that the park is closed daily from 12-3. I would of rated the park a 5 star buy having to sit around and wait is definitely a BIG negative. Suggestion.....stagger lunches, keep someone there. Not a good first impressions to be closed during what is usually the busiest time of the day. Be better!!

Great facility. Unfortunately could not enjoy the golf course with all the rain but would highly recommend this lovation

The site was a bit narrow. It was difficult to position my camper so that I was off the grass and could still open the side out.

The electric system has fallen into disrepair. There are a few pedestals that have been replaced but must look to be in sad shape. Lucky I use a good surge protector as when I plugged it in tripped with a line voltage error. No telling what damage it could have caused to my trailer. Also they no longer have a cable tv system due to a provider issue. The driveways are potted and need work also.

Super friendly staff. Very clean. Beautiful spot near the redwoods. Favorite KOA yet! Dog and kid friendly, we will be back

Friendly staff, clean cabin fully equipped, beautiful location and fall sunny weather. wish the rates were a tad more reasonable since it was late October and park was pretty empty. Hot tub was not warm.

I had no service to call and make a reservation. I was welcomed with a friendly smile and professional service. The campground is clean and the facilities well maintained. I can't wait to go again!

Enjoyed the hot tub twice in my overnight stay. Friendly staff and decent amenities. Cabins look great. More expensive than most KOA's but for me the hot tub was worth it. I would stay here again, next time more than just a day.

I asked for a pull thru because we were only there for an overnight. Was put in one and charged extra! The problem was we barely fit and even though we said we had a slide out we only had about 2 inches left as we were blocked by the ultilitie post and to get that we had to park partly on the grass.

Good KOA- no issues. Clean and quiet.

Very friendly service and a great site.

Excellent customer service. Great amenities. It’s a nice spot but the grounds could use a little love. Lamposts broken, and there several permanent residents living in the cabins and a few of the camp spots. It was perfect for an overnight as we were driving through the redwoods. Clean and safe. The staff are helpful and friendly.

We stayed at the Benbow KOA for spring break 2024. The staff is super helpful and friendly. Check-in was a breeze. Since it was Easter weekend, the campground staff hosted an egg hunt for the kids with an appearance from the Easter Bunny. It was pretty awesome! We stayed in a FHU “comfort” patio site 52, with relatives staying in Tent Site T1, right across the road from our site. The RV site required minimal leveling and all hookups were well maintained. The site included patio furniture and a fire pit. The patio was nice since the grass was muddy from all the winter rain. The showers and bathrooms appeared clean and maintained. The hot tub was open, but it was too early in the season for the pool and splash pad. The laundry room was large and had newer machines. The gift shop had all the essentials for RVers and guests. There is also 2 arcade games, a Star Wars pinball machine and pool table in the lounge area of the front office. They have a small library of books and board games, dice and dominoes to use. The dog park area is on the smaller side, but there are some great pet walk areas around the resort. There is also a small 9 hole golf course next to the KOA. The WiFi was good and able to stream. The cable was not so good due to limited channels and fuzz (could have been my fault). The historic Benbow Inn across the way was a nice surprise with good food options, a full bar and traditional afternoon tea. It's a short walk on a nice path or you can drive there. We were within a few freeway exits of the Avenue of the Giants and a lot of other famous trees and redwood groves in the area. One exit away, in Garberville, there is a supermarket called Ray's Food Place and an awesome Mexican restaurant called El Cora Restaurant. There are fuel options in Garberville as well. I would definitely recommend Benbow KOA to others.

We arrived just before 8:00 p.m. with no reservations and we're greeted by Chloe and Juan who attended to our every need. Thank you for hiring the best. They are definitely an asset to your company. We so enjoyed our time there even though it was real short. Thank you again for your hospitality. You were amazing! Thank you again for such a wonderful experience. We would highly recommend your campground to anyone traveling

Best KOA cabins we have stayed in. Many models to choose from in the midst of Redwood country. We have stayed there many times, and they are always outstanding. They are very clean and spotless - you can walk around in your socks and they won't get dirty. Spacious and well stocked, towels, dishes, everything. Sheets are crisp. Staff is wonderful and helpful. You can dine at the adjacent historic Benbow Inn. Just wonderful.
