Benbow KOA is a kids paradise! We had a fabulous stay. The grounds were well maintained, the staff was friendly, the pool was perfect!

The staff at this KOA is by far the best of any KOA I’ve ever stayed at. Nor only is their facility extremely clean and well-kept, but the staff members are very helpful and go above and beyond. We will be back next year. Thank you you guys!

Great for one night stop on the way south on route 101. Movie night for the kids was great. Minor comment - the showers and restrooms could do with a makeover..

We enjoyed our stay! The employees were professional & friendly..,,Great place for kids! We loved the pool, the dog park &. the river! We had our honeymoon at the Inn 54 yrs ago! It’s been wonderful to come back through the years! Thanks for keeping it authentic!

The place was very well-maintained in a beautiful location. There are also activities visitors can do - pool, basketball, golf, fishing, not to me tonight exploring the area. There are many cabins and a community hall to hold family gatherings/celebrations. We would definitely like to come back.

Most of the sites have overgrown trees as did our site . The trees dragged across our roof and side of our motorhome. Hot tub and pool were nice, just wish they were open later than 8pm.

Nice area off the road, with a small golf course connecting to it. Showers were in need of some repairs, but were adequate and plenty of hot water. Used the laundry and was clean. Both were secure, as had to have code to enter.

Benbow KOA is the best! We had such a nice time at the pool and at the river! One of my favorite vacation spots!

Key card did not work. New card worked but room was disgusting. Moved the disabled member further away in tall uncut grass and very high weeds. Room door very visible gap outside. Lots of spiders and webs I had to remove before room could be used (really a lot). Bed made me feel I was in a hammock. Smelled as just painted so very strong paint smell.

There seemed to be a trash problem. During our brief visit, the big trash bin was never dumped. Some trash was removed so the lids would close. On our first evening, we all gathered at the wagon master's site and every once in a while when the wind would blow, you could smell the trash. The group voted to return next year....it's a beautiful and everyone is very friendly and helpful.

Yes, unfortunately the company who picks up our trash missed it the last 2-3 times they were supposed to be here. We understand the discomfort caused by the bins and have been in contact with the company to have this resolved.

Two of the three dog stations were out of poop bags, the garbage dumpsters were overflowing and it would be nice to have the Jacuzzi hours posted, being closed by 8:10 pm seems awful early.

We were welcomed on arrival with a Bottle of wine for our 42 Anniversary , which was very nice and unexpected . We love the campground, only would have liked to Pool to stay open later than 6 pm .

Great all around stay. Only complaints are the pool closes unusually early and it’s weird you need a card to get in the bathroom.

Sea Quake Beer from crescent city, was the best. You had a great assortment. They deliver to Rays in Garberville. Only 2 kinds. but they have 40 ft of beer. The power pedestal at site #92 needs some work. Both the switches and receptacles had a lot of movement. Of the two water outlets only had a handle.

Management helpful and friendly. Facility clean, including site, bathrooms and showers. Both tent sites, nicely mowed grass but could use grading. Luckily, was not raining as only flat areas were in drainage flow path. Both sites nicely located near fast flowing stream on mowed grass. Parking precariously located on corner in swing radius of RV's.

The KOA staff was very friendly and helpful. The bathrooms and showers were clean and the large grass areas recently mowed. Because of the recent rain some of the areas were a bit muddy- to be expected. Benbow KOA is an "easy-on", "easy-off" access to the highway for RV arrival and when taking day trips to nearby attractions, state parks and Redwood groves. We will definitely come visit again.

The staff is fantastic. The only complaint is they do not mow the grass around the campsites.

We loved staying here! The employees were so friendly and helpful. The campground was well kept and the restrooms/showers were very clean! The river was just beautiful and the park was in great condition. The pool, hot tub and splash pad were being cleaned while we were there but it looked very nice! We will definitely be coming back in the fall!

We were lucky we were there in the November / December season so lots of room for us. We loved the spacious grounds, close proximity to Redwoods and the cute town of Garberville. We ate at the Historic Inn and loved the Christmas decor and beauty of the hotel.

Beautiful campground! Stayed 3 nights in RV spot. Avenue of the Giants road is just 20 or so miles north, so spent a day doing that. Played 9 holes of golf here one day and that was fun! Lovely and friendly staff!
