Sites were on the smallish side, but fit our rv and toad barely. Baths were very clean. Great location for doing the Avenue of the Giants and other parks.

Lots of road noise here due to the location - next to 101 and surrounded by hills. But it’s a good KOA, with very nice staff, and a great location for the Avenue of the Giants and visiting Eureka. Enjoyed our stay here.

We have stayed at the Benbow KOA 3 times in the past and I have to say the ambiance and security at this KOA has severely deteriorated. We stayed there this time for just over a week and when the park is nearing the full capacity. The security is bad, drinkers with foul language, kids running through other RV sites and on bikes. Dogs running off leash and drivers exceeding safe speeds.

Friendly staff! Everyone, from the front desk/store staff to the golf course maintenance crew, greeted us with a smile and "glad you're staying with us" vibe. The golf course is a work in progress, but a kick to play after not touching a club for 15 years. Everything at the facility is pretty worn, but it's cleaned regularly and looks well maintained.

Space was just right for travel trailer and pickup, but any longer on each and it would not work. Tight RV parking spots for the concierge black water gray water pumping. Called and found out they work from east to west or something like that and our particular spot would be towards the end around 10 a.m. too late for us to take advantage of. Hot tub jets only one JET works, rest have no flow..

Sites and roads tight for big rigs. Office staff was excellent.

Thank you for your review. We value your opinions and feedback on your experience. Our park is an older eclectic one. However, our 55 foot pull-throughs can and do accommodate 40+ foot motorhomes every day. Help is always available if a guest finds it challenging to comfortably get into position.

Clean bathrooms, close to Avenue of the Giants redwoods. Nice pool & hot tub. Friendly workers. The 9 hole golf course needs a makeover, but we had fun searching for the tee boxes ... lol.

We stayed here twice on our way to and from Oregon. Even though the visit was short, we had a great time. We sat in the creek in our chairs, played a round of golf and sipped drinks at the Benbow hotel while listening to live music. What a wonderful stay.

Sites are very close together. Very loud, rowdy crowd until after midnight. That being said the staff was nice, the complex and amenities are good. Close to the Benbow Inn and golf on site is great!

Very clean kids loved the pool. The only draw back was the noise. To noisy. The highway was right there and it was never ending hard to sleep. And the drunks next door campers. But live and learn. Other than that it was very nice

Unfortunately, the luxury and convenience of our location does mean we have some traffic noise during peak travel hours. Quiet time is 10pm and we try to ensure guests adhere to park rules

Thank you to all the staff, it was an absolutely wonderful stay. We had a lot of fun and Benbow keeps a nice and clean campground. Thank you for the special accommodations for our dog. We really appreciate it. We will definitely be back.

Everyone that works there is so nice. Love the Benbow. Big shout to Michelle, going to be spending 3 nite in July 22nd til 25th. Been to your Koa twice last 2 months. Just Hope Seaquest Brewery has their beer when we are there.... Cheers see you soon,

As always the staff was wonderful, friendly, professional and very helpful. Quiet stay and relaxing. The only reason that I rated a 4 was because we wanted to purchase Propane on our way out and told 8:45 - 9:00am that the guy would be there. When leaving at 9:30 the guy still hadn't shown up - the poor apologetic staff person in office wasn't aware of any changes and apologized profusely.

Disappointed in no bucket train after flyers were handed out. Low voltage and no cable in site disgusting sandpit in site that cats poop in splash pad very inconvenient to guests and staff.

We are sorry to hear your experience was disappointing. Our sites are all full hook-up, 50/30/20 or 30/20 amp sites based on equipment needs. Not sure how you experienced low voltage. All sites are equipped with cable as well. We would have gladly addressed equipment issues had we been informed.

Always love our stays at Benbow. Lots for the kids to do. Seems like they are doing lots to clean it up and improve it. Hope to go back next month!

Nice spot right off highway 101. All the usual KOA amenities but the best part was dinner at the nearby historic Benbow Inn, which is just a short walk from the campground. Normally I only give one star to any KOA with speed bumps, which have damaged our RV in the past, but the ones in the Benbow KOA are half-height and get the job done without any risk to levelers/stabilizers.

Great KOA. The staff were excellent. The grounds are well kept. We did our laundry while there and the laundry room is clean with all machines working. We had dinner at the Benbow Historic Inn and restaurant, which is only a 5 minute walk.

We stayed at the Benbow KOA for spring break 2024. The staff is super helpful and friendly. Check-in was a breeze. Since it was Easter weekend, the campground staff hosted an egg hunt for the kids with an appearance from the Easter Bunny. It was pretty awesome! We stayed in a FHU “comfort” patio site 52, with relatives staying in Tent Site T1, right across the road from our site. The RV site required minimal leveling and all hookups were well maintained. The site included patio furniture and a fire pit. The patio was nice since the grass was muddy from all the winter rain. The showers and bathrooms appeared clean and maintained. The hot tub was open, but it was too early in the season for the pool and splash pad. The laundry room was large and had newer machines. The gift shop had all the essentials for RVers and guests. There is also 2 arcade games, a Star Wars pinball machine and pool table in the lounge area of the front office. They have a small library of books and board games, dice and dominoes to use. The dog park area is on the smaller side, but there are some great pet walk areas around the resort. There is also a small 9 hole golf course next to the KOA. The WiFi was good and able to stream. The cable was not so good due to limited channels and fuzz (could have been my fault). The historic Benbow Inn across the way was a nice surprise with good food options, a full bar and traditional afternoon tea. It's a short walk on a nice path or you can drive there. We were within a few freeway exits of the Avenue of the Giants and a lot of other famous trees and redwood groves in the area. One exit away, in Garberville, there is a supermarket called Ray's Food Place and an awesome Mexican restaurant called El Cora Restaurant. There are fuel options in Garberville as well. I would definitely recommend Benbow KOA to others.

We arrived just before 8:00 p.m. with no reservations and we're greeted by Chloe and Juan who attended to our every need. Thank you for hiring the best. They are definitely an asset to your company. We so enjoyed our time there even though it was real short. Thank you again for your hospitality. You were amazing! Thank you again for such a wonderful experience. We would highly recommend your campground to anyone traveling

Best KOA cabins we have stayed in. Many models to choose from in the midst of Redwood country. We have stayed there many times, and they are always outstanding. They are very clean and spotless - you can walk around in your socks and they won't get dirty. Spacious and well stocked, towels, dishes, everything. Sheets are crisp. Staff is wonderful and helpful. You can dine at the adjacent historic Benbow Inn. Just wonderful.
