Upon arrival there was no toilet paper, the sink was leaking water, there was mold under the sink and the trash had not been emptied. Overall the cabin wasn’t very clean. We made it work for one night but likely won’t stay there again.

This location is very clean, easy to access and has all the amenities that we would want. The people are friendly and easy to work with.

I’ve stayed at this KOA many times but during the summer months with kids out of school and parents that show no respect for neighboring campers gets worse with each visit. I think the “back in” section area is the worse.

Great park, easy access and pleasant staff. Only negative: overprice at 93.00 per day. Will avoid on that condition alone.

Poison 0ak signs on fence were every where.This made me uneasy because we have a dog.I also don't want to see rattlers.

This is a lovely KOA ~ even has a REAL Golf course on site!! One disappointment was the lack of trash collection. There was only one dumpster, which was left overflowing....maybe you need to add another dumpster?! Additionally, the staff at check in neglected to give us the 'bathroom' code. When we needed to use the bathroom, the office was closed ~ sooooo!!! No help there!!

Friendly staff and nice facility but very disappointed in premium I paid for “premium space.” It was way off on level and in order to get positioned so I could get level - I had to move over so much on the utility side my pop up was against the breather pipe and electric riser. These spaces should not be rated as premium. I think you’re making a mistake doing that.

Our campsite was clean and mowed. All our RV hookups worked correctly! We had plenty of room and liked the new table and chairs on our site. We saw many employees driving around in their work and mowing vehicles to keep things mowed and clean! The swimming pool was clean and neat, great temperature to keep us cool and comfy! Thank you!

Maintenance have gone down since my previous stay. All the grass is dead in the camp ground. The golf course is a mess. The office staff are friendly and professional.

Just one night but the staff were very helpful, friendly and welcoming. The store is stocked with great things, amenities were just what we needed after a 9 day trip!

This KOA is a great RV stop over. They have many things to do, pool, splash pad etc. The front desk people are very kind, friendly and helpful. Downside: We are not used to camping so close to people. The road noise from the freeway was very noticeable.

Very helpful staff, pool was nice, grounds were clean, and RV spaces had adequate room. Bathrooms and showers were clean, although a little warm when it’s 100+ outside. They also have some in the main building that are air conditioned. Would definitely stay here again.

Electric problems on site 61 50 amp connection. Cause my breakers to continue to trip. Finally resolved to run 1 less A/C unit and used the 30amp outlet.

Great Staff and Kampground! Lots to do in the area with some really good restaurants as well! They had a great fireworks show right at the kampground! Bathrooms were clean but could use a little updating! Staff is great but would be helpful if they had more info on the area especially Benbow Inn and Julia Morgan house! Julia Morgan was the designer of Hearst Castle! Really enjoyed our stay!

Dead lawns, low hanging branches, Premium site had an electrical problem- the breakers were loose. The whole power box was worn out. This property is not as well maintained as it once was. The staff however is friendly and helped us right away with the power issue and they were very friendly and helpful when we had to spend an extra night.

Jenn is an absolute gem. For not having reservations for July 5-8, she was miraculously able to get us into a wonderful site during a major heatwave in Benbow (northern Calfornia). If I were on "Undercover Boss" she'd be one to receive a promotion and a vacation to some exotic isle with her family.

We really enjoy staying at the Benbow KOA. Whether it be RV or cabin. The only issue was the plumbing. Shower water lines was backwards. Cold side ran hot and hot side ran cold. The coffee pot was missing the lid. We had coffee all over due to the filter reservoir over filling.

Had 2 power outages on separate days during record heat. Camp site was clean and nice. Minimal room on roads to back in though. Having one way roads really makes things difficult. Golf carts should be rentable to either golfers OR to campers. So much money could be made by renting golf carts to all guests, not just golfers. Prices in the shop were EXCELLENT!! Pool towels were rough!

Be careful on the road leading into the camp grounds. Stay on 101 and you’ll be good. The golf grass was well kept up and the staff was friendly. The laundry room was leaking water everywhere and half the units were out of order. But other than that nice camp ground.

A nice oasis amongst the redwoods. Very clean and easy sites to pull into. Clean restrooms and friendly staff.

We stayed at the Benbow KOA for spring break 2024. The staff is super helpful and friendly. Check-in was a breeze. Since it was Easter weekend, the campground staff hosted an egg hunt for the kids with an appearance from the Easter Bunny. It was pretty awesome! We stayed in a FHU “comfort” patio site 52, with relatives staying in Tent Site T1, right across the road from our site. The RV site required minimal leveling and all hookups were well maintained. The site included patio furniture and a fire pit. The patio was nice since the grass was muddy from all the winter rain. The showers and bathrooms appeared clean and maintained. The hot tub was open, but it was too early in the season for the pool and splash pad. The laundry room was large and had newer machines. The gift shop had all the essentials for RVers and guests. There is also 2 arcade games, a Star Wars pinball machine and pool table in the lounge area of the front office. They have a small library of books and board games, dice and dominoes to use. The dog park area is on the smaller side, but there are some great pet walk areas around the resort. There is also a small 9 hole golf course next to the KOA. The WiFi was good and able to stream. The cable was not so good due to limited channels and fuzz (could have been my fault). The historic Benbow Inn across the way was a nice surprise with good food options, a full bar and traditional afternoon tea. It's a short walk on a nice path or you can drive there. We were within a few freeway exits of the Avenue of the Giants and a lot of other famous trees and redwood groves in the area. One exit away, in Garberville, there is a supermarket called Ray's Food Place and an awesome Mexican restaurant called El Cora Restaurant. There are fuel options in Garberville as well. I would definitely recommend Benbow KOA to others.

We arrived just before 8:00 p.m. with no reservations and we're greeted by Chloe and Juan who attended to our every need. Thank you for hiring the best. They are definitely an asset to your company. We so enjoyed our time there even though it was real short. Thank you again for your hospitality. You were amazing! Thank you again for such a wonderful experience. We would highly recommend your campground to anyone traveling

Best KOA cabins we have stayed in. Many models to choose from in the midst of Redwood country. We have stayed there many times, and they are always outstanding. They are very clean and spotless - you can walk around in your socks and they won't get dirty. Spacious and well stocked, towels, dishes, everything. Sheets are crisp. Staff is wonderful and helpful. You can dine at the adjacent historic Benbow Inn. Just wonderful.
