There was a maintenance guy there named Scotty, he was great and helpful in so many ways. Scotty gets 5 stars! The whole campground is very good!

Super great location and the people are very friendly, but the place just looks tired. It might be because it's the end of the season and it's been hot. The bathrooms really need updating and a deep cleaning (especially the ones in the check-in area). All in all it's a nice place to stay

Did not have a reservation and it was Labor Day. These people were so kind and helpful. We are eternally grateful. Park was cute with lots of amenities including a lot of stuff for kids and dogs.

We had the best time! Cabin was great, park was very safe for the kids, and we had so much fun at the pool and KOA hosted ice cream social. The KOA staff even remembered us from last time!

We have been camping at the Benbow KOA for 30 years, long before it was a KOA. The place was always pristine. We have noticed in the past 10 years or so that the place is beginning to look a bit run down. Grass is dead or not watered, yet a water leak in one spot simply had an orange cone and was too muddy to want to camp in. Golf course is in terrible condition. Disappointing.

At 11:15 there was about 10 minutes of fireworks coming from the Camp Ground. Waking people like this could cause PTSD for some folks and it scares animals for the rest of the night. The same people were up all night talking loud. This needs to be monitored better.

One of the two rooms we reserved was not clean when we checked in. Found dirty dishes in the sink and dirty towels on the floor in the bathroom. Went back to the office and (fortunately) they had another unit for us to check into as housekeeping had left for the day. Staff was friendly and very accommodating, so that was nice and made up for the initial check-in debacle.

The park is very nice however we were there during a very rowdy wedding that shot off illegal fireworks and what sounded like gun shots on Saturday night after 11pm. We reported it to the police and fire department.

We had a overall great experience. The whole staff was very kind and helpful. The restrooms/showers are very clean. The general store had a variety of things you may need. This is a great place to bring your dog and all the dog areas are clean. The overall campground is clean and well taken care of. We will definitely be back.

Checked in on Saturday afternoon. Not enough help on front desk. Wedding going on on property. When I drove to space 407, two autos were parked there. Tried to call Benbow KOA, but only got recording. Had to drive back, then wait to talk to desk person. She called a wedding contact, I drove back and cars still there. Finally got reassigned #406. Then, at 9:30 pm, fireworks rocket was fired, close.

KOA is a really nice campground, because we enjoy all amenities, including Wi-Fi, cable, TV, swimming, pool, and hot tub. However, the Wi-Fi was not working the days we went, and our fire pit was located way too close to the trailer (difficult to have a decent fire).

Grounds not taken care of around camp sites, very dry. Weeds were healthy however. No internet at all. Golf course dry as a bone and the greens were terrible. We have been coming to this location for over 20 years. The decline is noticeable and sad. Staff were helpful.

It was a cute KOA. I have stayed in MANY Koa across the country. The deluxe cabin was by far the dirtiest I’ve ever seen. Soo gross. Brown stuff dripping down the fridge. overall filthy. Just plain gross

we had a superb time, as always. the cabin was wonderful! only 2 pieces of constructive feedback: please put a trashcan in the bathrooms. Women menstruate, we need trashcans. and two, please clean behind the toilets too. I wiped up some water that I spilled behind the toilet and it was clear that it hadn't been cleaned behind the toilet. other than that, we loved our stay!

Super friendly and happy staff! Made the stay that much more enjoyable. The cabin was great size, a little stuffy and warm when we arrived but the ac cooled it down quick.

We only stayed one night but this was the nicest KOA we have stayed in. The pads are super unleveled is the only complaint we have. People were great and the facilities were awesome!!!

Beautiful property, kind staff for check in. Road noise was surprisingly loud. Needed to call after hours number but no one answered. Very noisy guests.

The staff were great the park needs a little work and I'm glad to see all the work being done on the golf course got a ways to go. Hope to stay and play again next year.

Spaces are too cramped to support modern rigs with slides. The only reason we chose to stay there was because we were looking forward to visiting the Benbow Inn but it was closed for a wedding so no access. Not a good value either.

The nicest and most helpful and pleasant staff I have ever encountered! RV sites are small and pretty close together ( compared with national parks). Facilities were great with lots of room for "family play" [pool, water park, hot tub]. I cannot express again how amazingly helpful and pleasant the staff was. We had fire at our planned site and KOA folks welcomed and helped us!!!!

This was our first stay at a KOA campground and we totally enjoyed it, Great staff and everything worked great. We have a large rig (44 ft) and it fit the space just fine.

We stayed at the Benbow KOA for spring break 2024. The staff is super helpful and friendly. Check-in was a breeze. Since it was Easter weekend, the campground staff hosted an egg hunt for the kids with an appearance from the Easter Bunny. It was pretty awesome! We stayed in a FHU “comfort” patio site 52, with relatives staying in Tent Site T1, right across the road from our site. The RV site required minimal leveling and all hookups were well maintained. The site included patio furniture and a fire pit. The patio was nice since the grass was muddy from all the winter rain. The showers and bathrooms appeared clean and maintained. The hot tub was open, but it was too early in the season for the pool and splash pad. The laundry room was large and had newer machines. The gift shop had all the essentials for RVers and guests. There is also 2 arcade games, a Star Wars pinball machine and pool table in the lounge area of the front office. They have a small library of books and board games, dice and dominoes to use. The dog park area is on the smaller side, but there are some great pet walk areas around the resort. There is also a small 9 hole golf course next to the KOA. The WiFi was good and able to stream. The cable was not so good due to limited channels and fuzz (could have been my fault). The historic Benbow Inn across the way was a nice surprise with good food options, a full bar and traditional afternoon tea. It's a short walk on a nice path or you can drive there. We were within a few freeway exits of the Avenue of the Giants and a lot of other famous trees and redwood groves in the area. One exit away, in Garberville, there is a supermarket called Ray's Food Place and an awesome Mexican restaurant called El Cora Restaurant. There are fuel options in Garberville as well. I would definitely recommend Benbow KOA to others.

We arrived just before 8:00 p.m. with no reservations and we're greeted by Chloe and Juan who attended to our every need. Thank you for hiring the best. They are definitely an asset to your company. We so enjoyed our time there even though it was real short. Thank you again for your hospitality. You were amazing! Thank you again for such a wonderful experience. We would highly recommend your campground to anyone traveling

Best KOA cabins we have stayed in. Many models to choose from in the midst of Redwood country. We have stayed there many times, and they are always outstanding. They are very clean and spotless - you can walk around in your socks and they won't get dirty. Spacious and well stocked, towels, dishes, everything. Sheets are crisp. Staff is wonderful and helpful. You can dine at the adjacent historic Benbow Inn. Just wonderful.
