The sites were very narrow and since it was raining it was very wet with lots of puddles. It would’ve been nice if the sites were wider and you had a room to get to your storage areas and walk around without stepping in puddles everywhere. I’m sure it would be much better in the warmer weather walking on the nice grass. There’s no parking near the bathrooms unless the office is open.

We're sorry the weather couldn't cooperate. Summer definitely sounds like an ideal time for you to visit if you'd like to avoid rain. There is parking available near both of our bathroom locations regardless of the office being open or not.

Narrow & short sites, muddy (needs maintenance - gravel or mulch). Seems to have nice amenities, but we didn’t use them…

Nice campground in a beautiful area. Our only suggestion is to works on the roads between the campsites. They are pretty rough.

How does KOA manage to hire such consistently friendly people? I'm definitely coming back, either to the campground or the lodge, and I'm looking forward to actually playing your nine hole course some day.

Broken asphalt on premium site. Very muddy. We could not get in and out of the coach without going through a mud puddle. This park suffers from poor maintenance and has continued to decline for several years. We like the location, which is why we keep staying there. But it is so disappointing to see it continue to fall into disrepair.

The managers and staff were very prompt in responding to an electrical issue that we had at our site! KUDOS TO THEM! We will be back!

Front counter check in was great. Girl at the desk very accommodating and friendly. Cable didn't work and I wasn't told so spent a lot of time messing with it. Place generally needs maintenance. Hook up box was on the ground. Price was high for the stay.

We have stayed here several times. They always have sites available. The bathrooms were very clean and plenty of hot water. The park is clean & well maintained.Our assigned site had mud and standing water. Staff were very gracious & directed us to choose any site we wanted. It is refreshing to to stay at an RV park that shows common sense, instead of campers being constantly threatened w/ rules.

Always a nice time. Lovely campsites, best golf course, and close to Redwoods & Benbow Hotel for a fantastic meal. Staff is always pleasant, polite, & helpful. Pool is great in the warmer months, and golf carts are available to rent. Dog friendly.

Ok firsts things first The office and Spa hours are 10am-4pm which are totally ridiculous,who on earth shuts down the Spa at 4PM that’s spending $70 a nite at an RV Park…..and all the people in the RV Park was not Happy about those hours ….ill look somewhere else to stay next time ….NOT A HAPPY CAMPER and plus the Spa’s jets were inop for 2 DAYS come on Really then it shuts down at 4PM j

We're sorry to hear that our park didn't suit your needs this time of year. During the off season we don't see enough traffic to keep our facilities open longer, but during the summer time our earliest closing is 8pm. We hope to see you at a better time!

The facility was very clean and quiet. The bathrooms were the cleanest I have seen a KOA. The store was a little light on supplies but we were there in the off season so that could explain that. The staff was all super friendly and helpful.

the spaces are not really big enough for large rv (5th wheel). The staff was great and allowed me to park in an open spot. If it had been super busy it might have been a problem. it looks like the campground would benefit from some drainage improvements. heavy rains and the spots became vey sodden/muddy. would be an incredible place during dry months. Benbow inn has good food and is close

We arrived shortly after the office closed, I know to look for my information on a bulletin board. There wasn't one by the office door, or a note or sign indicating where the board might be. After a long day of travel, a note or sign on the office door would be helpful. The campground wasn't full so we didn't need to move.

It was a muddy mess and the sites are too short

We're sorry you didn't enjoy your stay. Winter in this region involves a lot of rain which has been heavy lately. Nature must do it's cycle and unfortunately create mud for us. Our largest sites are 55ft and we are available by phone and email for all such inquiries! Hope to see you a drier time!

We had a family Christmas and your personal went out of their way to insure we were happy. The minor issues that come up with over 35 guests were taken care of right away.

This is a neat KOA with the golf course and setting. Unfortunately, in the off season the store wasn't stocked and the upkeep is lacking. If they're going to be open year round, members and campers deserve the same level of care. Also, Kamp K9 is a muddy pit. Mulch helps emensely. Again, poor level of care. Off season money deserves value.

Nice people and the young woman at the front desk was the same one I had 8 days earlier when I stayed there. Super nice and obliging. I know hwy 101 from Oregon to Santa Rosa CA and I think Benbow koa is the only safe place to stay that whole distance. It's a good campground and you have the Benbow inn right there for delicious food. Nothing to say against this KOA.

My wife and our two pets, a cooker spaniel and a sun conure, thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the rv park. The staff was very personable and helpful. Please work on the Golf course:) we used to stay regularly back in the early 90's and remember the course in much better shape. I know it's being worked on and look frwd to playing it in the future! We had a very enjoyable time

We stayed at the Benbow KOA for spring break 2024. The staff is super helpful and friendly. Check-in was a breeze. Since it was Easter weekend, the campground staff hosted an egg hunt for the kids with an appearance from the Easter Bunny. It was pretty awesome! We stayed in a FHU “comfort” patio site 52, with relatives staying in Tent Site T1, right across the road from our site. The RV site required minimal leveling and all hookups were well maintained. The site included patio furniture and a fire pit. The patio was nice since the grass was muddy from all the winter rain. The showers and bathrooms appeared clean and maintained. The hot tub was open, but it was too early in the season for the pool and splash pad. The laundry room was large and had newer machines. The gift shop had all the essentials for RVers and guests. There is also 2 arcade games, a Star Wars pinball machine and pool table in the lounge area of the front office. They have a small library of books and board games, dice and dominoes to use. The dog park area is on the smaller side, but there are some great pet walk areas around the resort. There is also a small 9 hole golf course next to the KOA. The WiFi was good and able to stream. The cable was not so good due to limited channels and fuzz (could have been my fault). The historic Benbow Inn across the way was a nice surprise with good food options, a full bar and traditional afternoon tea. It's a short walk on a nice path or you can drive there. We were within a few freeway exits of the Avenue of the Giants and a lot of other famous trees and redwood groves in the area. One exit away, in Garberville, there is a supermarket called Ray's Food Place and an awesome Mexican restaurant called El Cora Restaurant. There are fuel options in Garberville as well. I would definitely recommend Benbow KOA to others.

We arrived just before 8:00 p.m. with no reservations and we're greeted by Chloe and Juan who attended to our every need. Thank you for hiring the best. They are definitely an asset to your company. We so enjoyed our time there even though it was real short. Thank you again for your hospitality. You were amazing! Thank you again for such a wonderful experience. We would highly recommend your campground to anyone traveling

Best KOA cabins we have stayed in. Many models to choose from in the midst of Redwood country. We have stayed there many times, and they are always outstanding. They are very clean and spotless - you can walk around in your socks and they won't get dirty. Spacious and well stocked, towels, dishes, everything. Sheets are crisp. Staff is wonderful and helpful. You can dine at the adjacent historic Benbow Inn. Just wonderful.
