The Barrie KOA Campground is now open for our 35th season. We will continue to follow all COVID-19 policies as per the Road to Reopening plan, and will do our best to update all current policies in the information below. Welcome to the Barrie KOA! Please read through the following information, and take some time to review it with everyone who will be joining you for your stay. These guidelines must be followed to ensure the safety of all our campers and staff alike. All COVID-19 guidelines will be enforced over and above our standard campground policies, which will continue to be in affect. Any guests who aren't able to follow the Barrie KOA Policies and Procedures, or our COVID-19 Guidelines will be asked to leave and their reservation will be canceled. We will be sending out your reservation check-in instructions the day before your arrival. This will include all important information regarding your check-in, as well as our COVID-19 screening. If you, anyone in your household or those traveling with you, fail the COVID-19 screening please contact the office immediately so we can cancel or reschedule your reservation.
Arrival and Check-In: Check in for RV's is 1:00pm, and check in for all cabin accommodations is 3:00pm. Masks are required for those entering the store for registration, with a current capacity of 10 customers. For those arriving after hours please contact our office so we can be sure to prepare an after hours arrival package. You can text or call the campground at 705 726 6128 to make these arrangements before our office closes.
Office, Store & Barrie KOA Kitchen: The summer hours are now in effect, and the campground will be open 9am - 9pm through to the end of the September Long Weekend. At this time 10 people will be allowed inside the Front Office / Camp Store at one time. Masks will be mandatory as per the current local and provincial guidelines. These details will be confirmed in your registration email received before your arrival.
Restrooms: The common restrooms will be available to guests that DO NOT have their own facilities; Standard Cabins, Tents or RV units that do not have private washrooms. Same will go for all pool users. We have extra cleaning protocols in place with more frequent cleaning in the restrooms, ensuring that this continues to be a safe public area for all guests, masks will be required. Showers are now open in our main washrooms at the front of the campground.
Visitors: Limited Visitors are now be able to enter the campground. There will be a MAX 10 guests to a site, including both registered campers & additional registered guests. Visitors MUST register with the office upon arrival, complete our COVID-19 waiver, as well as pay the per person visitor fee. $10 per adult and $5 per child. We ask that everyone continue to follow all Provincial restrictions including current mask mandates, and social distancing practices. Please note visitor restrictions will still be in place, and will be accommodated at the campgrounds discretion. We will not tolerate large or unsafe gatherings of any kind.
Pools: Our pools are open from 10am - 8pm daily. When onsite you will need to stop by the front office to sign in and out of your pool time. Please contact the office, or refer to your registration email prior to arrival for all current pool information.
Laundry: The Laundry room will be open during store hours. We will now be allowing two families to use the laundry room at a time, with the mask mandates in place as per the other indoor areas of the campground. A laundry booking will still be required, maintaining that only two families will be using the facilities at a time, allowing for proper distancing and cleaning. If laundry is needed a sign up sheet will be available in the office.
Playgrounds, Jump Pad, and Passive Activities: Both our playgrounds, Jump Pad, Mining Center, and all passive activities (volleyball, basketball, horseshoes, and ga ga ball) are open.
Prentice Hall & the Cedarwood Clubhouse: Both our indoor recreation facilities will currently remain closed at this time.
We will continue to evaluate and adapt precautions as provincial mandates evolve. We remain committed to delivering the services you need, while helping protect the health of our community.
