Love the stay and improvements. Was a bit irritated that we were not allowed to check in early when, the space was empty from the day before, and the campground was fairly empty as well, because rain was called for and it was not raining, would have been nice to be allowed to set up while it was dry. Would have been more welcoming. Additionally, store closes at 6, too early. Would still stay again

We love Avila Beach KOA . . . We have stayed there before . . . sometimes with many family members and friends . . . renting cabins and bringing RVs. Avila Beach is a great place to stay while exploring the California coastline. The proprietors are pleasant and knowledgeable. And the facilities are wonderful.

We had three spots for a family vacation. We all had a great time. Easy access to the trail for a bike ride to Avila Beach, walking distance to the farmers market with lots to see and things to buy. It poured down rain one day during our stay, but we still had a great time in the game room playing shuffleboard, pool and ping pong. Can't wait for our next trip!

This the cleanest park I have seen as a Koa. I'm interested in coming back as a work kamper. However I will be back for sure.

We really enjoyed our stay here. You have a great team of amazing people. The park, while smaller than some other parks we’ve been to, was laid out really well so it didn’t seem small. The amenities were lovely (our fav was the dog park) and the park itself was very clean and well maintained. The park was in a great spot near the trail and town. We had a truly wonderful experience.

Great time at the KOA Avila Beach, staff very friendly, grounds are very clean. Our site was the Premium site, just wonderful! Super clean, the chairs, picnic table, fire pit, and grill looked brand new. We used the grill and the fire pit every night. Highly recommend the KOA Avila Beach, trail to Avila Beach is awesome, I have a beach cruiser and it was easy scenic ride.

We really liked the warm welcome we received from the helpful team. We liked the campground which was obviously well looked after. We thought the only down side was that some of the pitches were a little bit narrow. This meant that those who were using a travel trailer and truck combination could impinge on neighbouring spaces when the truck was unhitched. A problem for pitches 63 to 66.

Tim and his whole crew are simply awesome! Friendly, courteous, professional and if you have any concerns they will address them like you are a member of the family. We will definitely be back!!!

It was very peaceful and relaxing. Kim who at check in was very accommodating and friendly!! Our stay was our first and we will certainly be back. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our visit. The grounds were very clean.

Nice quiet week at Avila KOA. The current hosts are great! Many sites were empty and apparently they are being configured. We tried to book the same sites as our current stay for 4th of July 2024 but were told those sites (along with others) are not available due to changes being made at the park. Overall we enjoyed our 5 nights stay and look forward to returning.

We had a great time. The staff was very friendly and especially helpful when it came to finding our site. The gentleman took us to the site and proceeded to guide me in as I backed up. The pool and hot tub were a hit with the family. We will definitely stay again.

Love the cookies when we checked in, the pancake breakfast was great, the movie night was fun, with great free popcorn. Propane service right at our campsite, and the staff was friendly and very nice!

Awesome campground. Grounds are small and so are the spots but perfect for what we needed. Very clean and well kept. Close to lots of fun activities. Staff was extremally friendly and generous!

Freeway friendly. Very courteous office staff. Gave us 2 freshly baked cookies. Noted that maintenance was on- going. (Painting) Nice pool and jacuzzi. Lush grassy areas. Paved interior roadways. All gravel campsites. Older buildings. Bathrooms are functional and could use some updating. Tight campsites. Well laid out. Some activities of all ages.

Very nice camp ground. Just very noisy as I have a soft sized camper and the heavy traffic continued all night. I’ll bring earplugs next time.

We had an amazing stay at this wonderful KOA!! All the staff were absolutely lovely and Kim is very sweet and helped us out big time! Bathroom and laundry room were very clean and the store is fantastic to go shopping in! We will definitely be back!

We love it here! Campground staff are friendly and efficient, restrooms are clean, and grounds are well maintained. We did love the old campsite configuration much better with the open fencing to the playground and a full fence between patio areas. We did not love the open railing between our patio and the neighbor's patio adjacent to ours - no privacy.

My friend booked two RV sites for us I was nervous at first seeing the reviews but they def changed management bc the staff couldn't be nicer. They gave our kids a bunch of free toys and were very accommodating. All facilities were spotless and the best of all the Pool (which was pretty big) and jacuzzi were both heated. We went in early Feb when it was cold and my boys are squeamish in cold water but the pool was warm enough for them even at night. Heated pools are huge for us. Super convenient to everything, 5 out of 5, we will be back for sure!

This is a good Koa RV Park. Location is good, it's quiet, the staff is friendly, and both Avila and Pismo Beach are nearby. A bit pricey. Why are people complaining about the freeway noise? We're in spot 81 backed up to Highway 101, and it's not noisy at all. This place is well run and a great place to stay.

We stay here once a year during Christmas time with family and extended family. The cabins are tiny little perfect getaways nothing special, but have all the amenities that you need. The area around has plenty room for kids to play, they have jungle gyms, and walking path for dogs. there is also the Bob Jones trail that you can walk or ride your bike or whatever you feel like all the way down into Avila. We will keep coming back here every year for Christmas.
