Some of the back in spaces are small! The traffic noise coming from the freeway is not ideal but the campground itself is nicely put together, the pool/spa was nice, playground was nice, and nicely located for driving to the beach and other places.

Very nice and everything was satisfactory. Freeway noise was a little annoying, being so close to 101. Pancake breakfast for $3 was nice. It would be good if a side was served with it. Maybe sausage, ham, bacon? Iâd pay extra for it.

Very nice people. Very clean. Nice grounds. Close to town. Free wine tasting and even had a pancake breakfast on Saturday morning!

We had 2 cabins and both were very clean, the place also very quiet and peaceful at night. The clerk at the registration very friendly and eager to help with any questions. Thank you. Only the internet was a little slow but we were there to have fun so internet was not that important. Thank you again.

Weather was fine everyday, so we could enjoy the beautiful pool.

We traveled from Arizona to find a nice accommodating space for a 40 foot motor home, we could hardly back into a space large enough to fit a 30 foot trailer. Very tight squeeze, very unfriendly hostess, or owner. Plus if you used their bathrooms, you had to bring your OWN TOILET PAPER??? That's right.... bring your own toilet paper. Stay if you have a small RV! No smoking, no smiles either!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

You do not have to bring your own toilet paper. When you check-in, we ask that you use RV toilet paper at your RV. The bathrooms are stocked with toilet paper.

We were 1st told that they were full. 15 later, they call back, 1spot open. Great. The place was not "totally full" all weekend. Man on duty very snippy. But the park is very clean.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

You needed a site for 60ft....there are only a few sites available. If you saw empty sites, it was because those sites would not accommodate you.

Very clean and friendly environment. We were playing a game of shuffle board in the game room and the gentleman let us finish our game before closing up. We didn't know it closed at 9 but he let us finish until 9:20. Also, the lady was very friendly when we checked in. Lovely place. Great location.

Office staff very rude unfriendly, won't let you check in till 1:00 even though park mostly empty! Then at 1:00 a line out into the street and unable to get into tiny narrow sites because everyone getting there at the same time. Won't be returning. Never been to a KOA where all staff so unfriendly. Pool was nice but not heated as advertised.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

The check-in time for RV's is 1pm and the cabins is 3pm. Most state parks are 2pm with no exceptions, other local campgrounds, check-in is 4pm. We find that the 1pm check-in is very generous and although the sites are available, we still have campers that are leaving from previous night and having campers leave and come in and same time can be chaotic.

Stay was good, love the emenities, staff though could be more people friendly. I am sure they get tired of people asking for things, but we do pay to stay and if we have questions then we have questions....and im sure they get paid to answer them.

We really enjoyed staying here, as we always do. Great for the kids, with the playground area, b-ball court, and outdoor movie. Facilities and common areas are very well maintained!!!

So much to do. Nice pool, hot tub, play ground, movie screening. Staff was friendly, spaces were good. I cant wait to come back.

Nice and well maintained. No smoking in the whole area (also in the barbecue area). Weak wifi. Narrow places.

Great RV park, friendly staff and perfect location! We enjoyed the bike trail to the beach - so fun!

Very pleasant campsite, clean and well kept with good facilities - bathrooms, pool, dog walk area etc. Staff all good and helpful. Sites a little tight and noise from the 101 could bother some. Lovely trail from campsite to the beach 2 miles away. Our preference to Pismo

the space was small and hard to get in to.

I stayed in a cabin and was FULLY informed of rules but not how to get hot water for showers. Iâve never heard of having to turn a switch on for hot water. Tried to call office repeatedly since office didnât open til 9. When I was checking out and complained of no hot water, I wasnât impressed with the response I got.

Thanks for the pool in particular

Just about everything was very nice until I went into the campground store to ask a simple question...the Manager was there and lashed out at me as if I had no right to ask! She was miserable, extremely rude, disrespectful, and the incident disturbed me to the point where I didn't enjoy the rest of my stay. If she hates people so much she shouldn't be working at a campground.

We tried the camping Cabin #7. It was very nice. Could use another towel rack and a hook to hang clothing somewhere. Loved the little back yard as it was too hot to stay inside 2 of the days. Pancake breakfast was yummy - thank you. The store was great. The staff were very helpful. The pool was wonderful! Thanks for being there for us !

Our two-families made reservations 6-weeks in advance, we requested spaces together, when we arrived the staff was very accommodating. Took seconds to check in. Perfect location, near pet walk, pool, play ground and outdoor theater. Everything was clean and well taken care of. We will be back!!!! Matter of fact, our family liked it so much they booked their next trip before leaving!
Oct 11, 2017
Terrible, they parked our RV right over the sewer man hole covers, so we had to close all windows and could not be outside.

Great campground that is close to alot of attractions, looking forward to coming back. Lady at check-in was very helpful to all of my questions!

Hi, a lot of extra rules you have to sign for! and it's not allowed to smoke onthe campground

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

This is a non smoking campground and we do have some rules that are enforced to make everyone's stay enjoyable.

We stayed for 4 nights in October... it was great. It's a small campground but it works... we fell in love with Avila Beach. Gorgeous!!!

Overall good. The policy on no smoking at your campsite was frankly annoying. I get the need for no smoking in public places. I donât see the need for inconveniencing individuals. I do not smoke, but my husband does.

Small but cozy. Friendly staff. Clean restrooms (big plus). Would have liked to have seen directional signs to KOA from southbound 101, exiting San Luis Bay Drive to Ontario Road. A sign on Ontario Road would be nice.

This KOA is very clean and well-maintained, and the staff is friendly and helpful. There are not many pull-through spaces for 40'-plus rigs, but they do have adequate back-in spots that can accommodate our 40' Class A. Regarding the negative posts I've seen about the staff's attitude, only fair to report that I'm a white guy over 50. They were very nice.

Stayed in the handicapped unit because bed was supposed to be queen versus double in all other units. Smallest queen Iâve ever seen. I sleep on a queen a couple nights a week at my daughters so I know what it should be. Otherwise unit fine. Quiet campsite.

1:00 check in time enforced, got there at 11:15 and where told to come back, the park was pretty empty. HIGHWAY NOISE, very small sites. Will not go back and we only live 1 hour away.
