Annual Windjammer Days! Also see Windjammer Association Event List. Events during the multi day festival include pancake breakfast, craft fair, antique boat parade, shipyard tours, street parade, live musical entertainment and of course a visiting fleet of historic windjammers. The Great Race,Tuesday, June 26th, 2018 in Historic Downtown Gardiner & the Waterfront Park, 5 to 9pm. Fireworks to follow in the evening at the Waterfront Park. Great Race Cars arrive at 5:00pm, Shuttles to Downtown Gardiner begin at 3:00pm. Night Ends with Fireworks at 9:00pm. Gardiner, Maine will host a stop on the 2018 Hemmings Motor News Great Race, presented by Hagerty. The Great Race, the world's premiere classic car rally, will bring more than 100 antique automobiles to Historic Downtown Gardiner and the Waterfront Park. Background: The race will start June 23 in Buffalo, New York, and weave its way to a total of 2,100 miles over nine days, taking drivers on a course that starts in Buffalo and continues across upstate New York and through Vermont to Burlington. From there, the course goes east to Mount Washington, and from there across Maine to Gardiner. Contestants then will leave from Augusta and head up to Bangor, and then down to Bar Harbor. The final legs of the trip will take drivers across the Canadian border into Saint John and Moncton, New Brunswick, and then over to Nova Scotia, with stops in Truro and Dartmouth before the rally concludes in Halifax.

The Maine Lobster Festival is five days of fun and feasting on the fabulous coast of Maine! This annual event takes place during the first weekend of August, from Wednesday through Sunday.
