(Oct 2026) This quick getaway was like coming home! The Kabin was cozy with its space heater, new windows, and pretty curtains! The porch swing was soothing and the mini fridge kept our food super cold! There was a microwave and sink available in the laundry room! As always, Jo, Dale, and Les were so friendly, attentive and helpful!! We even had a campfire! Definitely a 5 star stay for us!

Could not have been more perfect of a stay. The owners were friendly and helpful. Cain was warm and clean. Exceptional place to stay.

The stay was wonderful! The 2 employees working the office when we checked in were amazing! They even drove out to our site, which i havent experienced that at all KOAs. They delivered wood and right after they delivered a big rainstorm came through. We didnt have time to grab it to keep it dry, they delivered us more. TP was out and they immediately replaced it. Great stay!!!

We stayed in the luxury camper cabin for two nights. It was very clean and comfortable. We had all the amenities needed for two nights. The Adirondack chairs and fire pit were awesome. Check in and check out were very easy. Would recommend this KOA.

Friendly staff and food was reasonable and good so we didn’t have to cook. Everything is charged to your site so it was super convenient

The facilities were clean and well taken care of. And the staff were great. We took advantage of getting dinner there and the food was delish, especially the baked potato!

The campsite is well-kept. We stayed in K-1 cabin with no bathroom but it was only 1 minute walk to the bathroom with shower. We can cook outside. The rim is very primitive so you need blankets and pillows. There are only 2 outlets in the room. The most expensive coffee I ever paid here in KOA $12 and $18 for each iced salted caramel w/3 shot of espresso.

I brought an international guest and my two dogs and we stayed in one of the cabins. The cabin was perfect, the bathrooms clean, the pizza made on site was excellent, and it was close to Alamosa and the Great Sand Dunes! We all LOVED IT! Thanks and for sure I will be back! Karen G

We have stayed at about 30 KOAs and this one is definitely one of the top. The staff was super accommodating and friendly. I also loved the opportunity to get food on-site. We enjoyed our homemade cinnamon rolls and breakfast bowls and pumpkin lattes out in the sun. Everything was clean and it was also great to be able to rent the sand sleds for the dunes and we appreciated all the staff's tips!

Great area. People at Alamosa KOA were very friendly and helpful. Showers/restrooms were very clean and well kept. I stayed in a cabin. I've stayed in many of these in my life. They are adequate. Must be my old bones, I find the mattress/pads to be not very comfortable. KOA needs to upgrade! Overall this location was a winner!

The staff are really nice and helpful! Really like all the different dog stations, especially the long enclosed run. My kids enjoyed the activities on site.

My stay was comfortable and pleasant. The cabin, bathrooms, showers and grounds were very clean. The staff were very helpful and friendly. I would stay there again. The only thing I personally did not like was my cabin was right on top of a Tent camp. That was just too close. Plus I like the KOA sites that have a frig and microwave.

I stayed in the deluxe cabin. It was very nice and all new. Great views. Location is very close to Great Sand Dunes. Breakfast burrito was hot and delicious. I will stay here again

We LOVED the cabin, but..it was 95 degrees, there is NO A/C, had a fan, but it was sooooooo not doing the trick. GREAT mattress....great night sleep. Breakfast was SO GOOD. pancakes, porkies and scrambled eggs. coffee and OJ also. pancakes all u can eat!! beautiful bathrooms. Super friendly staff. FOR SURE a MUST KOA to STAY at. Was 3rd night, on the road it OUTSHINED the 1st 2 by 500% ;)

The deluxe cabin was brand new and AMAZING! Bunk room + queen bed, bathroom with shower, kitchen, chairs on deck, more seating on lawn. Staff was so kind, 10/10 recommend. We would stay again.

We camp fairly frequently and have stayed at many different KOAs throughout our travels. The Alamosa/Sand Dunes KOA has been the been the best, by far! Every staff member was incredibly friendly and helpful to every kamper they interacted with, and each one of them seemed genuinely happy to be there. They should be the gold standard for every KOA! Highly recommended! We will definitely be back!

Tha deluxe cabin is brand new and beautiful on the inside. It has the best view of the mountains, however it is right next to the open cistern filled with human waste. The smell will take your breath away. We couldn't sit outside and enjoy the view or have a fire because of the smell. The cost of the DC is not worth the extra money. Stay at the other end of the park. The staff were excellent .

Good stay. Cabin was clean and shower house was clean as well. Staff were very helpful and there are good outdoor seats. A few minor issues: I know campers tend to get up early but the curtains are thin and don't even reach the bottom of the window if you want to try to sleep a bit. Stall door in the men's restroom by our site also doesn't latch.

This was between a hotel and a campground. All the facilities (and there are many) were always clean. They had a coffee bar, provided pizza and a few other hot food options, showers (non-coin which was a first) as well as showing you to your campsite. That is just the portions we used. There is far more thing to do and that they provide. Every worker was helpful and nice.

This was our first time staying at a KOA and it was outstanding. I typically bring groups of 10- 24 students to the area once or twice a year- we will be back! Jo and the entire staff was outstanding and understanding (of a lost key). It made the whole stay great! Thank you!!

(Oct 2026) This KOA is awesome! They are very attentive to campers needs. They keep you informed about important activities or needs. Les and Deb (owners), Jo and Dale (managers) are do an amazing job - constantly working on up-keep, and new additions to engage campers. I love that our Kabin had new windows with pretty curtains (not a fan of mini blinds), a space heater, a mini fridge, and a porch swing! It really felt like coming home! I will return!

It was wet and cold for the one night we were there and it wasn't too muddy or gross. A little playground for the kids, pool if open, and the go karts. Bathrooms clean and nice quality. Hot showers. Overall, no terrible pros or cons. It was only one night we were there.
