Alamosa / Great Sand Dunes KOA Journey General Information

Our pool opens for Memorial Day Weekend and closes Labor Day.
Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult.
Pool hours are 10:00 am to 7:30 pm.
Glass is prohibited inside the pool fence.
No pets are allowed in the pool area.
ALCOHOL IS PROHIBITED IN THE POOL AREA.
No lifeguard on duty.

Check-Out: 11:00 am
Check-In: 2:00 pm
Quiet Hours: 10 pm-7 am
SAFETY
The speed limit is 5 MPH. Please watch for children. No weapons, firearms or fireworks of any kind are permitted. Fires in fire rings only - if wind permits. Check with the front desk if you have any questions.

CANCELLATION DEADLINES
RV/TENT: 48 hours prior to arrival. CABINS: 7 days prior to arrival. HOLIDAYS: 7 days prior to arrival
Cancellation fee is $10.00 before the deadline, EXCEPT for the BUNKHOUSE, which is $25 before the deadline.  After the deadline, the deposit is forfeited.

POOL HOURS
Pool hours are 10:00 am to 7:30 pm.

PET RESTRICTIONS
Dogs are welcome at our KOA.  All dogs, regardless of size, are required to be on a leash at all times outdoors.  All pets must be attended to when outdoors.  A dog park is available to play with your dog off-leash. 

WEATHER
Weather may change quickly, so be prepared for sudden gusty winds by ensuring that tents, awnings and other items are properly secured at all times.

FIREWOOD!!!!  $8 per bundle, $22 for 3 bundles.  Ask our staff to deliver it to your site!  We also have all your S'more needs.
We sell charcoal and lighter fluid in the store.
The county sheriff often declares Alamosa county a high fire danger area.  Please check with staff before starting campfires or charcoal grills.

Our campground has a kampstore to provide you with gifts, snacks and Hunt Brothers Pizza.  We also have coffee brewing in the mornings for you seven days a week.  The kampstore is open during normal office hours so stop on by!

Please have visitors check in with the front office.

Our KOA is the ONLY location in Alamosa that offers convenient RV propane filling! We also offer propane bottle filing at one of the lowest prices in town. These services are open daily from 8a - 7p seven days a week during the open season.  We are open until 8pm on summer weekends.

Our system is designed for you to get your emails and browse sites. Our system is not designed to perform tasks such as Skype, movie downloads, streaming videos, etc. If you have trouble getting online, please refer to your site map insert or come to our office for assistance.

Deb and Les are fully committed to their new careers as campground owners in the beautiful San Luis Valley.  Deb is a retired architect and Les is a retired engineer.  They relocated from Kansas City Missouri to Alamosa to embark on this new adventure together in 2018.  Deb and Les are at the KOA most days so feel free to ask for us and say hello!
