We’ve stayed at Alamosa KOA several times. The people are always the best, the campground is clean and well-kept. Improvements have been made steadily and the place is better every time we stay. If you’re in the area, Alamosa KOA is a solid choice.

Always our stopping place on our way to and from Lake City. Always clean with cheerful, helpful employees. Also good pizza too.

We enjoyed our stay. The 2 ladies who checked us in on Thursday 7/30 were very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed the pancake breakfast on Sunday and the staff who ran it. Just wish that the breakfast could be cheaper or free like hotels do it. Anyway overall it was a great stay and enjoyed your campground!

We liked the friendly atmosphere and staff. Nice to have dinner delivered to our RV. Great ribs, green beans and mini potatoes. The cherry pie and ice cream topping off the evening. Pancakes breakfast was great way to start our journey westward.

Washer and dryer were amazing!! My clothes got clean and were actually dry when I took them out. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and the campground was clean and felt safe.

The staff there is always fantastic and super great. They also remember us, so that is always wonderful. Heather was great this time too! They put in a new fantastic dog park and I asked about tennis balls and Heather came in clutch and gave us one of her personal ones! What a great team there.

The Staff are among the most Helpful, Thoughtful and So Wonderful, with Regard to Sights to See in the Area! They are Also, SO Friendly and Really GO out of their Way, to “Simply put” make you feel “At Home & SO Welcome” Being There!!! to be there!!! “Out of their Way”

I was passing through and called them last minute and they were able to hook me up no problem.. nice and quiet!!

The owners were wonderful, special touches were the midway bathroom facility, with dishwashing out front, hot pizza, with delivery offered - and enjoyed their special marketing messages about the coffee bar, and the dark skies at night. A very pleasant experience!! Would come again for sure if in the area agai.

Love the new big dog park so they can run and play. Love the pool it’s always so clean. The food they offer is great. The staff is friendly and helpful. See you again next year!

We stayed in the bunkhouse and it was clean and comfortable. The ladies running it were very friendly! The breakfast burritos were delicious!

Great personnel �ϋ� we have stayed here 3 times and the operation runs very smoothly. But I can’t say enough about the employees, they go above and beyond and because of this we will always choose KOA when in this area.

Great stay at Alamosa / Great Sand Dunes KOA! Easy RV access with wide roads and a spacious 50-amp pull-through that fit opposing slides without unhooking my truck. Friendly staff escorted us to the site. Clean (though older) bathrooms, reliable full hookups, good Wi-Fi for working, site trash pickup, a clean pool, and average interstate noise. Would stay again!

We had vehicle trouble and needed to stay an extra night. The staff were all amazing! Jo was incredible and Sue and Myra were all so helpful and accommodating. We enjoyed many amenities: rented sand sleds for the dunes, the pool, the coffee shop, the pizza, the pedal carts and the laundry room. Restrooms were spotless and this camp is very well cared for, a great experience! Thank you!

The facilities were clean and the staff responsive and friendly. Appreciated the hooks in the shower stalls. A more sturdy shower caddy that can hold things without them falling off would be helpful The traffic noise out on the highway did make it difficult to sleep. A staff person was very kind to give me permission to charge my solar station (backup) for the final 10 hour stretch home.

We had a wonderful stay at the Alamosa KOA. Sue greeted us immediately when we pulled in and we didn't even get out of our truck to check in. We were escorted to our site, which we always appreciate. We could see the Great Sand Dunes (just a wee bit) from our site and it was so exciting. We got 2 very necessary loads of laundry done...not so exciting, but grateful to have the facility.

Fantastic staff - so friendly & helpful. Site facilities were great. It's a shame the upstairs lounge is no longer available for campers - I've used it in the past. Would be great to have an indoor space where campers could sit (e.g. if tenting & it's raining or too hot outside to sit)

Everyone is very friendly. The camp is conveniently located to local attractions, and there’s a nice pool and activities for family fun.

It was very clean! Our site was great, it had two trees on it. The woman working the desk was friendly. We enjoyed viewing the different camping options they had on our walk around the park. The sunset and sunrise were breathtaking overlooking the White Sand Dunes National Park.

Not many choices of places to stay outside the Great Sand Dunes. However, this KOA was perfectly fine for our visit. Did not use any of the facilities since we stayed for only one night. However, the staff were very friendly, and our gravel pad was mostly level. Would stay again if visiting the National Park in the future.

(Oct 2026) This KOA is awesome! They are very attentive to campers needs. They keep you informed about important activities or needs. Les and Deb (owners), Jo and Dale (managers) are do an amazing job - constantly working on up-keep, and new additions to engage campers. I love that our Kabin had new windows with pretty curtains (not a fan of mini blinds), a space heater, a mini fridge, and a porch swing! It really felt like coming home! I will return!

It was wet and cold for the one night we were there and it wasn't too muddy or gross. A little playground for the kids, pool if open, and the go karts. Bathrooms clean and nice quality. Hot showers. Overall, no terrible pros or cons. It was only one night we were there.

We camped here two nights and the folks that work here were exceptional! Very friendly and nice !
