My stay was comfortable and pleasant. The cabin, bathrooms, showers and grounds were very clean. The staff were very helpful and friendly. I would stay there again. The only thing I personally did not like was my cabin was right on top of a Tent camp. That was just too close. Plus I like the KOA sites that have a frig and microwave.

I stayed in the deluxe cabin. It was very nice and all new. Great views. Location is very close to Great Sand Dunes. Breakfast burrito was hot and delicious. I will stay here again

Everyone was friendly and helpful. Love there was a coffee house on site and dinner could be delivered to your door.

Everyone was so nice. The cabin was amazing. It was clean, comfortable. Restrooms were clean. I will definitely be back.

Great location for visiting the Great Sand Dunes NP. Very nice facilities. Everything was well maintained. The extras: Coffee Cabin for lattes & mochas in the morning, Pizza delivered to your site, fudge, the pet amenities & the walking path. The hosts were all lovely. They know the area and provided great recommendations on local attractions.

This campground is a great place to stop to see the Great Sand Dunes. The night sky was spectacular and you could hear wolves or coyotes howling at night. The staff was welcoming and the pizza was very good.

The staff were very welcoming, friendly, and helpful, we really appreciated the amenities, especially the pizza delivery, and noticed additional improvements made since our last visit two years ago.

We LOVE staying at the Alamosa KOA! It's like a family reunion every Labor Day Weekend. Jo, Dale, and all of the staff are wonderful. The campground is well cared for, and the store is fabulous! :)

Staff was fabulous and the pancake breakfast was appreciated and a must attend. One disappointment was the Patio Spot. Apparently our spot (53) had a known ant problem which we found out after the fact. This rendered the Patio unusable. Looking around, there were other Patio sites available but we were already set up before noticing the problem. Not just one or two red ants but hundreds. Avoid 53.

We LOVED the cabin, but..it was 95 degrees, there is NO A/C, had a fan, but it was sooooooo not doing the trick. GREAT mattress....great night sleep. Breakfast was SO GOOD. pancakes, porkies and scrambled eggs. coffee and OJ also. pancakes all u can eat!! beautiful bathrooms. Super friendly staff. FOR SURE a MUST KOA to STAY at. Was 3rd night, on the road it OUTSHINED the 1st 2 by 500% ;)

I have never felt as welcomed as I did while staying here. At Most campgrounds once they have your money it is hard to get a hold of anyone not to mention do anything extra for you. The hospitality here is bare none! My only complaint is the Price per night is high. With the cost of gas and per night stay it would have been cheaper for us to have came in a car and stayed in a Hotel. 4.5 Stars

Fantastic every time we come here, and it gets better. The breakfast offerings are reasonable and delicious! the grounds are kept up and the employees are friendly, helpful, courteous! Great place!

I have stayed here for many years and I have always enjoyed my stays but this time I was pleasantly surprised. They have expanded the park and upgraded some of their amenities. The people were helpful and friendly as always and we would definitely go back for another stay.

Only good things to say about this campground. So many nice touches to make our stay enjoyable. Their coffee cabin, rental of sleds for the sand dunes, homemade fudge, breakfast burritos, firewood delivered to our site, and being notified/reminded of amenities available. Nice. Highly recommend this campground. Thanks Deb and Les.

Great staff. Everyone was friendly and always willing to answer our questions. They were really helpful for what to do in the area. Camp and facilities were clean and organized. Weekend breakfast was great and daily coffee too. Highly recommend this place to anyone.

(Oct 2026) This KOA is awesome! They are very attentive to campers needs. They keep you informed about important activities or needs. Les and Deb (owners), Jo and Dale (managers) are do an amazing job - constantly working on up-keep, and new additions to engage campers. I love that our Kabin had new windows with pretty curtains (not a fan of mini blinds), a space heater, a mini fridge, and a porch swing! It really felt like coming home! I will return!

It was wet and cold for the one night we were there and it wasn't too muddy or gross. A little playground for the kids, pool if open, and the go karts. Bathrooms clean and nice quality. Hot showers. Overall, no terrible pros or cons. It was only one night we were there.
