We are on the Northside of Alamogordo (in town) on 24th Street, 1-1/2 blocks East of White Sands Blvd (Hwy 54/70) Look for the KOA sign. (Do not take the relief route.)
Get Google DirectionsDue to the government showdown White Sands National Park is currently closed. You are not able to drive through however you can see the dunes from HWY 70.
We have also learned that the Trinity Open House has also been canceled. We have heard it could happen in the Spring but we currently do not have a new date at this time.
Even though these two major things are closed in our community please know there are other great things to explore in and around town, such as:
- The NM Museum of Space History
- Alameda Park Zoo
- Tularosa Basin Museum
- Exploring Cloudcroft
- Exploring Ruidoso
- Three Rivers Petroglyphs
- Pistachio Farms
- Sunspot
