With so many beautiful lakes, parks and mountains to explore, it's easy to forget the shopping and fine dining of the big city are just minutes away. Take a gondola ride over the Spokane Falls at the site of the 1974 World's Fair. Enjoy a round of golf at a nearby course, tour one of the region's fine wineries, visit a museum or gallery or play at the local casino. For a thrilling adventure, spend the day at Silverwood Theme Park or feed a tiger at Cat Tales Zoological Park. Go hiking or biking on the 37-mile Spokane River Centennial Trail, located within walking distance of the campground. At the Spokane KOA, take a swim in the pool, have some fun on the sports court, rent a turbo bike and indulge at the ice cream social.

Grand Coulee Dam

From Spokane, take the leisurely 90 minute drive to see the 8th Wonder of the World! A Lazer Light Show about the history of the Dam is presented nightly at dark in the summer months.

Mount Spokane State Park

A beautiful one-hour drive from Spokane is the largest state park in Washington. A big, beautiful area with lots of trails for hiking and horseback riding and several fast, single-track downhill rides for mountain bikers.

Spokane Winery Tour

Silverwood Theme Park

A short 45 minute drive from Spokane you will find a Victorian-themed mining town theme park. Silverwood features over 60 rides, live shows & attractions. Lilac Bloomsday Run

12-kilometer Bloomsday Run is held annually on the first Sunday in May. The event attracts nearly 50,000 runners from all over the world.

Lilac Festival Parade

The Armed Forces Torchlight Parade is the highlight of the week long Spokane Lilac Festival.

Hoopfest

Hoopfest is an outdoor 3-on-3 basketball tournament played on the streets of downtown Spokane. This annual event is possibly the world's largest of its kind and attracts players from around the country.

July 4th Neighbor Day Celebration and Fireworks

Annual street fair and music festival held in Spokane's Riverfront Park with a spectacular fireworks show in the evening.

Julyamsh

Coeur d'Alene Tribal encampment welcomes tribes from around the country to gather for the nation's largest outdoor Pow Wow, featuring more than 800 dancers, drummers, arts and crafts. Julyamsh is held annually in July.
