Lynden's windmill and Pioneer Museum reflect the area's Dutch heritage. The historic waterfront town of Bellingham offers everything from acclaimed restaurants to Victorian mansions. There's also plenty of waterfront at the campground, including three fishing ponds graced with weeping willow trees. Campers celebrate with fun events like Mardi Gras in August, a Labor Day '70s street dance and a Victoria Day men's beauty contest. The campground's birthday demands its own three-day party in August. With a setting and celebrations like that, no wonder this KOA has been featured in Trailer Life magazine and Go RV'ing ads.
